My Fancy Little Silicone Finger

This is by no means the perfect clitoral vibrator, but for the price you are getting quite an awesome little silicone toy. This nearly silent vibrator is travel friendly and great for beginners. If you are looking for an inexpensive finger vibe, the Ophoria finger vibe deserves your consideration. Even if you don't find yourself liking it, the silicone sleeve is detachable and you will be left with a tiny bullet with infinite uses.

Use

The Ophoria finger vibe is a vibrator that is easily attached to a finger via a loop. It consists of two items - a small plastic bullet and a silicone sleeve. This toy is incredibly quiet and thus great for people with roommates or thin walls. Because of its small size, it is also great for travel. It is easy to use, perfect for beginners and great for advanced users looking for a small, inexpensive finger vibe.

Bullet and sleeve

This vibrator was designed for the clitoris, but can be used all over the body or for a bit of insertion. It can provide both pinpoint and more general stimulation depending on how it is held. It is also great to be put inside underwear and used as a bullet. I found that this vibrator worked nicely on my nipples to get me into the mood, and fairly well on my sensitive clitoris.
I would not recommend this toy for anal use due to its lack of a flared base though if you keep your finger in the loop, and are confident with yourself, you may be able to manage.

This toy can be used with a partner or on yourself. It is great for foreplay, and, with patience, could also satisfy you through playing with yourself. The vibrations are a bit on the weaker side but are still pleasing.

Material / Texture

The Ophoria finger is advertised to be made out of 100% pure silicone, which ranks a 10 on Eden's material safety scale. The sleeve is, but the bullet inside is an inflexible plastic.

Silicone is phthalate free, hypoallergenic, latex free, non-porous, and easily sanitized. It is also waterproof, which is an advantage of the sleeve. Be careful with the bullet, though, since it is not waterproof. Be sure to never use silicone-based lubricants and to store it separately from other silicone toys, as silicone on silicone action ruins toys faster than silicone on you action does. It is also a lint magnet, so storing it in a plastic bag is preferable.

This toy feels very smooth and soft. There is no texture on other than some ridges to help hold your finger in place and the model-name inscribed in the side of the toy. I could not feel the writing while this toy was inside me or on my clitoris.
Texture
There was no detectable smell on this toy when I opened it and, when I tasted it (for science), I could not detect a taste either. It does not retain smell when used.

The silicone sleeve is quite flexible, and even with the bullet inserted it remains fairly flexible. I like to use this to add variation to this one-speed toy by forcing it to bend various ways over my body, which in turn changes how the vibrations feel.

Design / Shape / Size

I would have to agree with the packaging about this being a minimalistic toy. It consists of a bullet placed in a silicone sleeve with a ring for a finger to be placed through.

The dimensions, taken from the product page, are as follows:
Length: 3 1/2"
Insertable length: 2 3/4"
Circumference: 2"
Diameter: 3/4"
Weight: 0.8 oz

To give you a better understanding of these numbers, I have prepared several comparisons.

Here is it compared to a pen and chapstick (Burt's Bees, but the label came off):
Compared to chapstick and penCompared to chapstick
Here it is lying in my hand:
In hand
The size of this vibrator is just slightly larger than a standard tube of chapstick, around the size of a standard female finger. This makes it easy to hide, thus making it discreet as well.
The shape and size are not very phallic, though if somebody were to find this they might recognize it for what it is. However, there is really no reason to leave it lying around since it can fit into almost every pocket, purse, or small hiding spot. This also makes the toy great for travel, though I would recommend removing the batteries to prevent it from turning on while en route.

This toy does not seem very intimidating, which is another reason why it is a good beginning vibrator for couples just starting to play with toys. It is also a wonderful toy to bring into a relationship if one partner is hesitant to use toys since the fun colors make it look harmless. Likewise, women hesitant about buying toys for masturbation might also be interested in this toy for its innocent looking appearance.

This toy is fairly small for insertion, but not impossible. It is great for teasing the vaginal opening but is much too short to reach most woman's G-spots. The Ophoria lacks the girth that would satisfy most women but is still a wonderful tool for foreplay. Its main purpose, however, appears to be clitoral stimulation, which it achieves both through pinpoint stimulation if using the tip or stronger vibrations if the toy is being put beside the clitoris and labia horizontally.

As mentioned before, this vibrator is basically a silicone sleeve over a small bullet. The bullet is easily removable, making this into several toys in one. The bullet, when removed, is about 1.25" in length and 0.5" in diameter, smaller than an AA battery. The bullet is incredibly easy to hide and can be comfortably put into underwear for stimulation during the day.

Keep in mind that the vibrations are strongest in the bottom inch of the vibrator, where the bullet is inserted. They can still be felt in the tip, but some of them gets lost through the silicone. I found it refreshing to have a toy that can provide both pinpoint (very pinpoint) stimulation and also more general stimulation.

I did find the loop awkward to wear on my finger, so instead I just held the vibrator by it and used it as a handle. It was both too large and too small to fit on me comfortably, since it was too large for the tip of my finger and too small for its base. People with other finger sizes, or who are less sensitive to tightness, will probably not have this problem.

Functions / Performance / Controls

To use this toy, press the big white button on the bullet, located at the base of this toy's shaft. A light press of this button turns the toy on only while being pressed, whereas a firm click makes it stay on until pressed again.
The button
The Ophoria finger vibrator only has one speed, but considering that the bullet is removable and the shaft is flexible, you can still manage to get various levels of vibration from this toy. As mentioned before, lying it down on its side results in stronger vibrations, while removing the bullet entirely also strengthens the vibrations. When pressure is applied, the vibrations feel slightly weaker because they are being absorbed into the skin. The vibrations are centered near the base of the shaft, where the bullet is, so press this area against yourself if the tip is too weak for your liking.

The vibrator is splashproof but not waterproof. However, if you remove the bullet, the sleeve is safe to submerge or do whatever you wish with. As mentioned before, I would not take this into the shower or bath, but I guess with caution this toy could be used in the shower.

The vibrations are moderately buzzy, but not annoyingly so. The toy is indeed very quiet - with a fan on I could hardly hear it at all. I'm willing to forgive the slightly weak vibrations for being able to use this toy without fear of being discovered.

This toy runs on two CNB G3-A watch batteries and comes with four extra batteries in addition to the two already inside. Though possibly not common in stores in your area, I did find them for a relatively cheap price online. Keep in mind that these batteries are not very strong, thus weakening this toy's vibrations. However, as watch batteries are tiny, this toy is great for travel since additional batteries don't take up your much needed bag space. In my experience, the first set of batteries lost power after the first 35-40 minutes but lasted for about an hour.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is really easy to wash. Because silicone is non-porous, the bacteria is easy to remove. Simply remove the bullet and wash the sleeve in soap and water. It can also be cleaned with most toy cleaners, a 10% bleach solution, boiling for several minutes, or by being placed on the top rack of your dishwasher. Be sure to remove the bullet before any of these actions, though, or you might ruin your toy! To wash the bullet, just wipe it with a toy wipe or a damp washcloth. Be careful, though, since it is not waterproof. Be sure to dry both parts thoroughly before reassembling.

As mentioned before, do not use silicone-based lubricants with this toy or allow it to rub on other silicone based toys. Though the silicone it is made out of is high quality, it is not immune to the weakness of other silicone toys. Simply keeping it in a plastic bag works, especially as this toy can a bit of a lint magnet, depending on the lint.

I had to tear through the packaging to open it, thus preventing me from storing this toy in its original packaging, but there is little reason to anyway. Because of the Ophoria finger vibe's small size, it is possible to store virtually anywhere - your toy chest, your purse, your pocket, your desk, your glovebox, and so forth. Just toss it anywhere, but try not to forget or lose it!

Packaging

This toy came in clear plastic packaging. It both is and is not discreet - there are no naked people on it, but it does expose the toy and say "vibe" on it. It can still be used to gift giving if you see it fit. The packaging is relatively attractive in the sense of its design, so it could make a nice gift. It is black with the color of your toy.

Although the package has the perforations that make it appear to be easy to open, I had to tear mine apart to get to the box. However, because of the low opacity and large size (compared to the toy itself), I would not have recommended it for storage anyway.

Detailed instructions came with the toy as well, explaining how to best use the toy and how to change the batteries. I felt that they were sufficient considering the simplicity of this vibrator.

Here is the packaging and instructions:

The toy also came with four extra batteries, which is great since it uses watch batteries rather than normal ones.

Personal comments

This is not the best vibrator in the world, but for the price that you pay the quality is wonderful. I was very excited when mine came in the blue, since it is my favorite color. Though I understand that many will complain that this toy is weak, I feel that the material, price, and near silence made up for it. Furthermore, even if you do not like the vibrator, the bullet in itself is worthwhile simply because of how tiny it it. Because of this, I am giving this product four stars.

Experience

I received this toy as a free gift for signing up for the newsletter. Between ordering it and it arriving, I read a lot of reviews and was prepared for the worst - an icky non-blue finger vibrator that would be incredibly weak and a waste of batteries. I am happy to say that I was wrong; I ended up liking this little thing quite a lot.

My favorite use for this vibrator is pressing her against my labia sideways, with the bullet pressing against my clitoris and the tip just barely touching the entrance to my vagina. Wearing underwear and crossing my legs provides the positioning for this to, with time, get me quite wet. Because it's so quiet, people in the same room as me can't hear it when my body is surrounding it in this way (as I learned when a family member walked in unexpectedly). I doubt I can be satisfied with this stimulation alone, but it does subtly get me in the mood, at which point I can take care of myself.

This is by no means the best clitoral vibrator out there, but it's far from the worst either. If you're looking for a safe and inexpensive finger vibe, this one deserves your consideration.
Follow-up commentary
I admit, I do not use this toy much anymore, but this does not mean that I do not enjoy it on the few occasions that I decide to get it out. Whenever I crave drawn out teasing, this is the toy that I reach for - although its vibrations are weak, it is among the quietest of my toys and can sit between my legs until those poor batteries die out. I also love how the bullet it comes with can fit into almost anything, allowing me to turn virtually everything into a vibrator. I still recommend this toy.

@unicorm: Sadly the newsletter offer is over, so I'd wait for it to go on sale again. I still think that this toy is awesome, though, if not for the sleeve then for the bullet.

Oh nice review, very detailed! The pictures are very nice. I actually thought this toy was plastic at first glance at the front page of this toy. I nearly got one for subscribing to the newsletter but sadly I accidentally did something that took it out of my cart. Anyway, you make this sound pretty pleasant, I'm glad you found so many ways to use it.
