My Favorite Toy
If you love clitoral stimulation that's a little more on the intense side then this is the toy for you. There are even available attachments to switch things up a bit if you prefer internal stimulation.Published: July 17, 2011
Pros:
Strong vibrations, silicone, smooth feel
Cons:
Battery operated
I received this toy as a gift. I didn't ask for it and I had never heard of it. But when I received it in the mail, I was very excited to try it out.
When I received the Mystic Wand, I already owned the Hitachi. For all the great things people have to say about the Hitachi Wand, I find it entirely too strong (and I like strong vibrations, generally). If I play with the Hitachi, I have to put my hand between the head of the toy and my clit or it's so strong it's painful.
Not so with the Mystic. It has the perfect strength for me. It has pretty strong vibrations, even on the low setting. With most of my other toys, I end up cranking the speed up to "high" within the first minute of use. But with the Mystic Wand, I usually never take it off of "low" and have no problem achieving mind-blowing orgasm in a just a few minutes. God, I love this toy.
The head of the Mystic is made of non-porous silicone and toy itself is splash-proof so it's easy to clean and sterilize (a big factor for me when I'm shopping for toys). It feels deliciously soft and smooth and has some ridges for added stimulation. It's not too big or heavy (like the Hitachi) and fits comfortably in my hand. There are also a variety of patterns available as well that are quite nice.
I just noticed that this toy is also available in a rechargeable option. The original Mystic Wand requires 4 AA batteries. If I ever need to replace it (that would be a sad day), I would definitely go with the rechargeable version. It's better for the environment and it's such a bummer when you're all ready to go and realize there's not a AA battery in the house (and you end up taking them out of the remote control or something -- I know I'm not the only one who's done this!). But if that doesn't bother you and you'd like to save $20 then this original Mystic Wand is just fine.

Experience
I love to use this toy alone for clitoral simulation but it's even better combined with penetration (either with a vibrating or non-vibrating dildo or your partner's fingers or penis -- if your partner has a penis that is.

Can Hitachi attachments fit the Mystic Wand?
-
It's lighter weight, so I'm more inclined to buy it than the Hitachi, but mainly want it to use attachments. Anyone know?

I think this is a good question -
I doubt it - the head is relatively compact. Smaller I believe than the Hitachi - but I don't own one, so I can't be sure.

Good review, I am definitely interested. The Hitachi is too much for me, too.
Great job, thanks for the review. This might be fun for times when we can't use the Hitachi.
Great job on the review!
Good Review!
Thank you for all the positive comments!
Ms Spice-- The Mystic Wand measures about 8" long, with the head of the massager being about 1.5" in diameter
Sloppy-- I'm not exactly sure how long the batteries last. I've never timed it. I would estimate that they last a few weeks with fairly regular use (2-3x a week). I know, that's a pretty vague response.
I have been looking for something to have other than my hitachi thanks!!
