My Favorite Vibe!

This is a great toy for those just exploring vibrators for the first time. It's a charming vibe and is a snap to use and powerful enough to get anyone off. My only fault with this toy was the butterfly was not long enough and that could simply be because my body is different than most others. It's a great toy and one of my faves.

Use

I think this is a wondrous toy for beginners or women who don't like or want large girth-ed toy like myself. The vibrator is made to stimulate both the clit and g-spot. The bulb for the g-spot and various parts of the butterfly for the clit. It successfully did this for me, however I found my self wishing the butterfly was a bit longer so it was easier to reach my g-spot and clit. This maybe different for other women as my g-spot is annoyingly deeper than others and I am a tall woman so that may also have some effect. This toy should work well for beginners and non-size queens. It is small enough were if placed in some kind of pouch/storage to protect the jelly skin of this toy it would travel well. It's great for bedroom and bath use. In the bath the wings and the antennae of the butterfly actually flick water and its kinda neat to look at.

Material / Texture

The material is jelly and gives to pressures. The texture is smooth and there no ragged seams or loose pieces of jelly. On the butterfly's belly there is ribbing which feels good when rubbed up and down on the clit or labia. There is also little embossed hearts by the battery back which are not felt during use except when gripping there with fingers, but they are cute and add to the charm of the toy. One thing I did notice is the jelly material can roll up around the battery pack if your hand slips and forces the material up. It was not an issues for me as the material went back to orginal place with no issues.

With jelly toys either use soap and water to clean the toy or use a toy cleaner. With the butterfly you need to be careful to get all the little nooks, but it is fairly simple.

Jelly toys should not be shared as they can not be sterilized and if they are going to be used for anal a condom is needed.

Design / Shape / Size

I liked the design of the toy. The bulb was able to stimulate my deep g-sot very well as the butterfly's antennae tickled my clit. I did have to wiggle the toy a bit to get it in the right position for both. The only thing I wish is the butterfly was longer as it would have been easier for me to position the toy where I could get the dual-stimulation effect. This toy is good for beginners and I would also recommend it to advanced users too. It's a simple and great toy. The toy is relatively small and could be concealed in a small pouch for storage. I would recommend some ttype of storage bag/box as jelly loves to pick up dust.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The toy has one vibrator in it, located a few centimeters under the butterfly. Despite the one vibrator you can feel the vibrations through out the entire toy.

To turn on the vibrator there is a button on the bottom of the base which turns it from off to low to medium to high to off. I liked the button, there were no "oops"s like I often have with wheels.
Low setting - rumbly vibrations, kinda nice but doesn't do too much. Noise is a very quiet, low hum.
Medium - more buzzy vibrations, very strong but not too strong. Noise increases noticeably.
High - very buzzy, too strong for me, the noise gets to the point where your roomie would notice.

Fun fact - on medium and high the wings flap!

The toy worked well in water, no difference except the added water flying from the wings and antennae.

I would consider this toy to be a battery guzzler; I used a four pack in 2 days for this vibe by itself, or maybe I just used it A LOT.

Care and Maintenance

Jelly toys like to pick up dust and lint. I would recommend wrapping it in a non-fuzzy scarf or in a clean pouch for storage. I also like to clean them before use just so to make sure no dust did get on the vibe.

To clean jelly toys use soap and water or toy cleanser. Jelly toys cannot be sterilized and thus should not be shared. For anal usage a condom is a must.

Lube-wise, use either water- or silicone-based lube.

  • Blue more expensive?
    • Anyone know why the blue is more expensive than the pink? They're the same, right? So why is one more expensive?

  • i have experiment attraction to women,,, i´m bicurious?
    • hi my name is yesenia paris,, and i´m 22 but since i was in high school i kind of have curiosity for girls,, i never like really kiss a girl or anything or i never had any female friend to experiment that, like i am very shy person and also like a lonely girl,, althought i am a very pleasant person and i good human being ,, noone seens to like me,,, but although of that matter i still feel the curiosity may because i have never been with a girl before
does that make a bisexual,a bicurious,of it just because the loneliness or the lock of friends,, like i never have a real
girl friend ,, like it´s samething that happens with boys,, you are not friends with them ,, but you like them in a different way,,, i always thing it´s because my loneliness
and the need of an another ,, girl being friends with me i also don´t have a mom to call and talk about my problems maybe it´s because of that the confusion thanks have a nice day
    • Someone made a similar post a while back, and I'll basically tell you what we told her. Don't follow stereotypes. Don't label yourself. If you are interested in girls, then you just are. If you haven't experimented with girls, personally I feel that when I liked someone it isn't based on any particular factor, it is based on the person themselves. I tell people I am bisexual, but really I think of myself as pansexual, not limiting emotion and attraction to anything. Not gender, not age, not race, not social status.

I think that sometimes people can become lonely and will "settle", making them open their views and ideas of dating up, to allow "just anyone" to enter into their lives. My boyfriend was this way, before meeting me, dating anyone who would say yes because he had no friends, and had been hurt and heartbroken so badly he just wanted to feel loved and accepted. I also have a straight friend who dated women just so she could have someone to date, but she wasn't attracted to them, although she liked to experiment and have fun, she says she is straight, but I don't give her a label.

If you ever need a friend to talk to, I am a good listener :)
    • Excellent advice Peggi and I second that. We don't need labels...we're just people. I'm a good listener too.

  • What's up with different Butterfly Kisses?
    • When I bought my Butterfly Kiss I thought there were only 2 versions - the standard and the Platinum Edition. Since I couldn't find the PE in my country I went with the regular one. I was so bent on getting it after watching Kara Sutra's review of it. She said it was TPR. I got my Butterfly Kiss. On the packaging (plastic shell with a piece of paper) it said that it's "phthalate-free" and made of TPR. I'm inclined to believe it as it didn't smell, didn't turn ugly yellow even when I had it for more than a year, didn't sting my bits (jelly does).

Now, however I see those jelly Butterfly Kisses. What's the deal? Was my vibe mis-labeled or are there more than 2 versions? I still have the paper insert from the packaging if you'd like to see it. The vibe itself looks a bit more opaque than what I see in EF catalog - it's always looked like this.

I would also ask people from EF who deal with the Review Program. Is my Butterfly Kiss same as yours (and thus qualifies for a review) or is it a different product?
    • Hi there!! California Exotic Novelties was the 1st to come out with this fantastic design. & yes we only have 2 versions, the platinum & the original. Check it out on our website link

Many other companies have tried to duplicate our product but have had no success. We are the original creators with the best product :) Hope this helps!

It's the jelly - throw it away or always use a condom. Look for better materials like silicone or VixSkin.
    • I wouldn't even use a condom...just get rid of it and stay away from the material.

  • Jelly Deformation?
    • Well I loved this little bugger and it came at a bargain so I suppose I can't complain too much. But I whipped it out for play tonight only to find that the jelly seems to have dented and deformed itself on the lovely bulbous head. I had it in a pocket next to my turbo glider and I suspect with some heat and pressure, that's the culprit that did this. It has very odd dents/suctionish things on it now.

Is this prone to happen to jelly toys? Could it have been the California summer heat? I would like to prevent this from happening in the future.

But in case people are wondering, this a toy I would glady invest in again.
    • It is my experience that jelly toys just deteriorate really fast...the heat may have sped up this process though. I do know heat can cause more phthalates to leak out of jelly. It probably just kind of melted on you a little. I would have to say you should go ahead and get a new one or better yet, find a comparible toy in silicone! Silicone can be boiled so, heat shouldn't be an issue with it at all! It always sucks when one of your favorites melts.
    • Does your house get pretty warm? I've never had that problem and I live in AZ. Was it touching the turbo glider? Sounds like a toy material interaction to me.
