Lucid dream No. 14 - vibrator by Doc Johnson - review by hexose

This is my first real vibrator. I have had the bullet things before but nothing that was actually designed for penetration. So far I have enjoyed this product. I like that is had the bulbous head so that the first part kind of pops in. So far I have not been able to find my g-spot with this although many others seem to find this product good for that. Not sure if I am not using it right or if there is something different about me.

The one thing I did find that this product has a distinct smell, kind of plastic or something like that. Not really noticeable during use but when not put away the smell does kind of carry. The noise level is not too loud, it does vibrate and when it contacts something hard the sound is louder but otherwise, under the blankets is enough to keep the sound of the vibrator from carrying.

The shaft is easy to grab and hold onto during use. The base is quite sturdy and the ridged dial adds something to grip. I had no trouble holding it and turning the dial but the dial is not so loose as to turn accidentally.

As this was my first vibrator I wasn't sure what to expect, but I think that it is a good beginner's toy. The dial makes it easy for anyone to find a setting that works for them and the price is reasonable for anyone's first toy. I think that I would definitely buy this again and would recommend it to my friends. The colors it comes in are quite fun and funky. There are no weird functions to learn or odd parts to figure out. It looks like what it is and is easy to use on the first try. I did not find this product intimidating at all.

The vibrator is 8.5 inches long, with 7 of those being insert-able. I found that I could only handle about 6 as the diameter gets bigger the closer you are to the base. The toy is made of a jelly material that feels quite nice but does give off a rather strong smell; I can smell it 1 to 2 feet away. It is quite smooth with a little give but not too much. The shaft is bendable but not shape-able. The vibrations go from quite low to quite high although I have never used it above about medium. The vibrations can be felt along the whole length but are centered at the tip as that is where the internal bullet is located.

I only have water based lube so that is what I have used, and I am not sure what else is compatible. The toy is made out of a jelly material and EdenFantasys recommends water and silicone based lubes. EdenFantastys also says that jelly material cannot be boiled so not to share with friends unless using a condom. The toy takes two AA batteries that are inserted at the base. I have used the same batteries the entire time I have had the toy and they have not run out, but I haven't used the toy much above 90 minutes total.

The toy comes in a plastic box that I found rather difficult to open, so not good for reuse. But the toy is in a plastic thing that I do keep the toy in as it keeps it from sliding around in the drawer. The box is quite colorful and does say vibrator on it, so not too discreet but fun and funky so maybe a good gift. I would recommend it as a gift for something like a bachelorette party or a gag gift, but as it is not discreet, not for more public parties. I would also not recommend leaving the toy out as it looks like what it is so people in your space would definitely know what it is.
