The Smart wand (Large) by LELO is a complete body massager with new age technology. Its ergonomic design makes it stand out above some of the other wands out there.






There is a Sense Touch function on the wand enables a massage for your body unlike any other. When the wand is applied to the skin, it gives off a nice pulsating vibration that you control and set to your liking. Once you pull it away from the skin, the vibrations drop in intensity, almost as if it's waiting for some skin contact. Neat idea, right?

The smart wand stimulates muscles on the back, shoulders, sides, thighs, calves and is pretty much perfect for those erotic nights alone or with a partner using them for the clitoral area or on a male's naughty bits. It's excellent for deep tissue massage.
Couples can take turns giving their lover a one of a kind personal massage and it can also be used to get them to the perfect climax.

Although the toy is marketed as waterproof, there is still an open port where the charging cord is inserted. The best bet would be to use in a water-free setting or a place where water could be splashed onto the wand, just not immerse the toy in water.

My first impression of the wand was the striking, luxurious look of it. It looks like it belongs in a glass display case. It's sleek looking and has a shiny finish to the handle, along with the velvety finish of the black silicone. There's not a sharp edge on this toy, but there is a seam that runs down the length of the toy. It's not sharp, not not smooth.
I love holding the wand and how it contours to my body, with the nice, curved design. It looks flawless in appearance.

As I mentioned above, much of it is silicone. The other portion is ABS plastic. Silicone is hypoallergenic and non-porous. For those with safety concerns, silicone is one of the top safest products used in sex toys these days. There's no drag on the silicone. It feels silky smooth and if a water based lubricant is used in conjunction with this toy, it becomes extremely slick, which is a good thing.


The silicone rates at a 10 out of a 10 on the safety scale.

The handle is ABS plastic and that also rates at a 10 on the safety scale.
The handle and silicone body of the toy doesn't have any phthalates and is completely latex free for those who may be allergic.





This wand is one of the safest toys out on the market. Lelo stands by their high quality products. This wand is at the top of their list.

There's no smell or odor to the toy and there is no taste. The texture is perfect for anyone from beginners to those advanced in wands.

I was satisfied with the shape and size of the wand. My hands are small and I was able to handle it well. The bulbous head is somewhat big for my clitoral area, but I can make it work for me.



The head of the wand has a circular shape, with a size of 7.5" in circumference and 2.5" in diameter. It's a nice, round size and it fits into the palm of my hand perfectly. The head is flexible and has minimal movement. The actual length of the head is 3". The total length of the wand is 12" long. The wand is comparable in size to other larger wands on the market. I've included a photo of the Lelo Smart wand with another wand, for judgment.





The body of the Smart Wand has a nice curve which works great when using alone or with a partner. I can use it on my clitoral area with no major issues because of the nice design. I sometimes will use it while it's cradled between my legs, on my bed. That's a nice hands-free option to using the wand.
It's also nice to use for my back after I've had a long day at work. I just use my right arm and lift it over my shoulder and it immediately hits the spot I need.

Although some may find it bulky to hold or travel with, I didn't have a problem with it. It may be an issue if you are trying to travel light. While traveling, always make sure the wand is in the 'locked' position, so it doesn't turn on during transit.

Lelo has a smaller sized wand, but I like this one more because it has a little more power than the smaller one. The big, bulbous head works great for really getting into the tense, tight back muscles and really working them out. I've called this my 'lifesaver' before. It's just that great.

The push button controls on here took a few minutes to get used to. I read the manual that came with it and sat down and got used to them. It doesn't take long and the buttons are easy to push. There's a slightly raised texture on the silicone above the shiny part of the handle. This is considered the control area.

There are three buttons on the silicone potion of the toy. One is marked with a +, one is marked with a-, and one is marked with ().

These 3 controls go from a low pulsation to random, back to steady. There are actually 7 functions total, after powering on.

The first time the button is pressed, it turns on.
The first has a pulsating vibration.
The second has a pulsation which jerks or shakes.
The third has a pulsation that slowly gets stronger.
The fourth starts slower and builds to high.
The fifth is just a steady, slow pulsation.
The sixth is a random mix of all settings.
The seventh is the steady setting.

To turn off the wand, just press and hold the - button until it turns off.





To lock the wand for travel, simultaneously press the + and - signs at the same time until it locks. Once locked, no amount of pressing can turn it back on until you press the same two buttons again until the light comes back on.

My favorite part of the wand is the Sense-Touch feature. This allows vibrations only when the wand is in direct contact with the skin. Once you move it away from the body, it shuts down until you touch it against the skin again.

To turn on the Sense-Touch function you must turn on the wand and hold in the () button until the LED light starts to blink. This setting also has a feature that remembers your last setting used. If you turn it off and then back on, it will immediately pick up your last setting.

The Smart wand is not a quiet toy. You can hear it through a blanket and in some cases, through a door.

While charging the battery for the first time, make sure it's charged for the 2 hour allotted time.
While charging, the buttons will blink continuously until it has received a full charge. The charge lasts quite a while and takes approximately 2 hours to gt to a full charge. There is supposed to be a 2 hour limit for use from a full charge, but this varies on the settings used. Sense-Touch seems to drain it as fast as a high setting. I've been able to get a good hour's use on high from a full charge.


The power is good, but not as strong as some of the other popular wands. On a 1-10 scale, I would rate it at a 6-7. It's great for body massage and works best for this situation. The head is pretty big on the toy, so when using for clitoral use, it actually hits my whole vagina. When I close my legs a little, the wand head hits the side of my legs.

The vibrations are deep, but somewhat buzzy. Some settings give a better rumble than others.

Never use silicone lubricants on silicone toys as it can damage them and possibly ruin your toy. Only use water based lubricants, if needed. I usually clean my wand with my wipes that I received here on Eden Fantasys, or I use a LELO antibacterial spray or soap and warm sudsy water.




I don't share my toy with anyone except my partner and it's only used on his back muscles, so I don't have to worry about any extra precautions involving sanitizing. Silicone is a non-porous material, so it's not going to absorb any bacteria.
If you do share your toy, or just need to sanitize it, you can use a bleach solution. I use 10% bleach to 90% water, and I rinse thoroughly with cool water. This sanitizing procedure ensures that any residual bacteria is eradicated.
Never fully immerse the wand into a sink or other area with liquids. Make sure the charging port is not in the water.
When I wash my wand, I always keep the end with the opening off of the sink. That way, I know it won't get water inside of it. There's no gasket on the opening to the charging port, so clean with caution.




Never put your wand into boiling water, as it can damage the components and mechanisms inside. Don't use any alcohol based cleaning sprays or solutions as this is very damaging to the toy. Don't keep the toy in direct sunlight, as it can also cause discoloration and damage.
Another thing to remember is not to store it with other toys except glass. Other toys such as jelly or silicone can cause a reaction if placed against each other. Always try to store toys separately.

The wand comes with a nice neoprene type padded sleeve to store it inside. This works well for storage.

The packaging is a nice, white elegant looking rectangle box, made of a sturdy cardboard. The outside packaging is white and shows a lady using the wand on her back muscles. The inside of the box front is all white and has a simple LELO logo in silver. There were also two instruction booklets and a quick user guide included with the wand. The wand comes with a nice black pouch that works great for storage and travel.

There is also an Insignia pin included in the box with the wand. A nice little pin to show your love for Lelo.

The box is recyclable and would be great for gift giving.

I really consider the Smart wand to be one of my favorites for body massage for myself and my partner. It works out great for both of us because we love to have a romantic couple's night and we always grab the Smart wand first.
