My Top Rabbit Recommendation: Petite Thumper
Petite Thumper outshines competition in almost every arena. It's non-porous silicone, perfect for vaginal use! The 3 speeds of column-style steel bead rotation and the 7 vibe modes are ideal for keeping your nerve endings entertained. I did a lot of research before choosing my first rabbit, the (TPR!) "Silicone" Beaded Butterfly. Despite doing my best to choose a rabbit in the best possible material, with a size that matches my anatomy, with a good bead arrangement, and controls and power, the Silicone Beaded Butterfly wasn't quite what my body needed. But when I saw the Petite Thumper, which is actually made of non-porous silicone, I thought it was worth a try. Even more, because it's "petite," and because my clit is usually too close to my vagina for rabbits to work for me, I thought this would be worth a try. And it definitely was---I finally understand the big hype about rabbits!
MATERIAL
My favorite part of this rabbit is its material. I had thought that, in order to have rotating beads, it was necessary to settle for jelly (which my body rejects) or TPR (which doesn't cause stinging, but still is porous) on the usable portion. Apparently that's not the case anymore! The Petite Thumper is made of a translucent milky-clear silicone. It's hypoallergenic, odor-free, tasteless, and non-porous! I flame tested it all over, with a match at the tip and at the rabbit junction and on the rabbit ears, and it passed! I am so thrilled that I can use the Petite Thumper without a condom, and without worrying about bacterial contamination. I can wash it with soap and water, or even rinse it with bleach for a more thorough cleaning. It's waterproof for easy cleaning as well.
The silicone has less give than my TPR rabbit, and I'm very glad of that. It makes the tapered head easy to insert without a warmup. The silicone has a matte surface, so people who like lube will want to use a water-based lube to reduce drag, and people who like drag will be pleased at the light texture and the fact that it's not a lint magnet.
SIZE
Petite Thumper is, of course, smaller than some of the other rabbits on the market. I actually find that to be a benefit, though---it slips inside me more easily, and with the churning of the beads and the turning of the shaft, I don't feel any lack of girth, though the 1 inch diameter is far from the largest I can take.
The other important dimension of a rabbit is the positioning of the rabbit itself. My clit is only 6mm above my urethra, much closer than the average, so most rabbits drastically overshoot my body. To make Petite Thumper work for me, I actually have to grab my labia majora and pull my clit upward to reach the rabbit's nose... so this isn't a hands-free toy for me the way it might be for the average woman. Still, it works, and I'm very happy for that. The Petite Thumper will probably fit hands-free for women whose clits are between 15 mm and 40 mm from their urethrae. People like me and people a little further-spaced might be able to make it work by pulling their bodies around.
BEAD ARRANGEMENT
Rabbit beads come in loose-packed arrangements, or in ordered rows or ordered columns. The Petite Thumper has seven ordered columns of five beads each---the steel beads are on steel guides with a smidgen of space (like abacus beads), and each of the guides links to a rotating center pole. This center pole has a bend at the tip so the head of the vibe moves inside you in time with the rotating beads.
I had expected loose pack beads to feel better inside me, but having tried the loose pack in the Beaded Butterfly, it turns out I like the steel beads in columns much better. It is still possible to squeeze the beads to a standstill, but the spinning of the steel pole is much more inexorable than the churning paddlewheel in the loose bead rabbit I had tried before. Basically, my muscles can stop the beads from churning, but then the beads keep trying to turn and eventually my muscles give out. Awesomely, this "struggle" seems to lead to better orgasms at the end of the session, because my muscles have been given a full workout.

Petite Thumper's controls are very simple to operate. The vibe takes three AAA batteries and can be turned on and off with the touch of a master power button. The power of the bullet inside the clit rabbit is exactly what you'd expect from three AAA's. It won't satisfy power queens, but it satisfies me just fine. I have a sensitive clit, and I find that I prefer either the middle power level (of the three steady vibration levels), or the fourth of the four patterns. (First is a constant 'dot dot dot' pulse, second is an escalating in power and speed 'da da da da da dadadadadada', third is a constant 'dash dash dash' pulse, and fourth is 'dot dot dot dash'.) The vibrations do penetrate deeply, they are not the frustrating "buzzy" kind that cause numbness. Also, my batteries only required changing after what seems like somewhere around 8 uses of ~45 minutes each, so this won't burn through batteries exhaustingly fast.
There are three levels of bead rotation, and these of are operated by the topmost button. My final thoughts? This is going to be the first and only rabbit I recommend to anyone new to sex toys or rabbits. (If Califonia Exotics comes out with an updated version that spins in both directions, then that one will take over---but until then, this is the best rabbit I've come across in my searches.) The firm silicone, the slender girth that lets it slip in easily, the fact that it is non-porous (as I firmly believe every sex toy for vaginal use should be), and the pleasant power and patterns combine to make me extremely happy with the Petite Thumper.

Great review. I just got one from Cal Exotics very similar to this, but unfortunately the first time using it didn't push my wife over the edge of orgasm. She got close, but there are toys out there that she enjoys much more. Hopefully round 2 and 3 go much better.
