Mimi is our second premium clit-only vibe - the first was our Form 2. We really liked the Form 2 because like Mimi it's a powerful premium waterproof toy with rechargeable batteries. We just kept running into the Form 2's glitch. If you haven't read about the Form 2 - it has the annoying habit of going into berserk-mode at really in opportune times requiring a restart to get back on track.

So we were searching something that shared all of the Form 2's positive features - without the annoying problem. So were we successful?

Well partially. Those of us who have used a lot of toys have high expectations for products from our favorite manufacturers like JimmyJane, Vixskin, Tantus, Njoy and Je Joue.

The Mimi mostly lives up to her press, she delivers strong vibes in an eco-friendly rechargeable and body friendly silicone package. So what's the problem? Compared to the Form 2, Mimi has 2 minor flaws; first the power of the Mimi drops off much quicker than the Form 2. We found that we only recharged the Form 2 after 5+ uses - but it's best to recharge the Mimi after each use. It makes me wonder how long the batteries will last before the maximum number of recharge cycles have been used up.

The other minor issue with Mimi is that my wife's fingers go numb holding it. The Form 2 is slightly larger - assuming this larger size is indicative of a larger battery, this likely accounts for it's longer battery life - but also serves to isolate the fingers from the vibes a little better.

So all things considered which is better - the Form 2 or Mimi?

It's close - but the Mimi gets the nod. Not having the annoying glitch that characterizes the Form 2 gives Mimi the edge. I will caution you that even Mimi's vibration pattern & sound levels are affected by how tightly you hold onto the toy - it seems that a light touch is best.

Mimi is a powerful vibrator covered in 100% premium silicone. The silicone has a velvety texture - not shiny or slick. The velvety silicone glides easily but also have a small amount of drag that makes using it easier.

Although high-end toys like Mimi are mostly purchased by experienced toy users - that should not scare off beginners. By reading the rave reviews for Mimi, any discerning buyer can easily see the value in Mimi vs. lower-end options.

I'm not big on repeating the specs in the product description - however I have measured the toy and it is as advertized.

Mimi is the perfect travel companion. Although we normally pack our toys in checked bags, for our last trip we just threw Mimi into her purse. Because of it's non-phallic shape it's very discreet, I don't think you need to worry about 'hiding' Mimi.

My wife is impressed with how well it fits in her hand and how easy it is to 'find the right spots'.

Likewise as described, there are 10 functions. Five (5) levels of steady vibrations followed by five (5) patterns. My wife's not a fan of the patterns, but will sometimes use them during her warm-up - then move on to the stronger end of the steady vibes for an orgasm. Depending on her mood she may settle on anything from level 4-5. That's important to mention because with other toys she always maxes out the power to achieve orgasm.

Some have mentioned difficulty in pushing the buttons to change settings. My take on this is that if you have no strength issues, it's just a matter of getting use to how the buttons work. However if your hands are not strong - this is something you should take into account.

We don't buy waterproof toys to use in the tub or shower - we like the feature to simplify cleanup - however Mimi's unique design is fully 100% watertight and would be the ideal water adventure toy.

Because Mimi is small and not intended for insertion - not much lube is required - for the older crown out there the saying "a little dab 'll do'ya". When choosing your lube follow the often reported caution not to use silicone lube for silicone toys. We use a Shea-cocoa butter lube and it works - and cleans up quite easily.

There is no reason I know of why hot-soapy water isn't enough to do the job, but there are those who like to disinfect - and to those users - go for it. The 100% silicone is easily disinfected with bleach or alcohol.

Je Joue follows in the foot steps of high quality toys like Njoy that come is premium quality packaging. Not only is the ribbon-tied black box suitable for storage - it would make a great gift and nice enough to keep for display. We end up throwing the fancy packaging away - but I'm sure there are many who love having it.

I'd suggest knocking $5-$10 off the price for those who don't want or need the fancy packaging - honestly its mostly a waste of resources. If you like that sort of thing, you should have no problem paying a little more for the nice ribbon tied black box.

The multilingual instruction book is quite complete and easy to read.

Our MO1 (modus operandi)is to use Mimi in conjunction with a dildo or other penetrative vibe with the goal of a blended orgasm. If you also like blended orgasm, you should have a Mimi - for those times when a Hitachi or other wand seem like too much.
