No Love for My G

This product was great in theory- turn a plug-in wand into a rabbit vibe. However, it took a substantial setting (past my clitoral tolerance even) to feel the vibrations internally. It is a nicely made piece and I can see it working for someone who just wants a presence in their vagina.

Use

The Lovers G is an attachment designed to work with Cal Exotic's Couture Collection Inspire vibrating massager. This particular attachment converts the plug-in wand into a rabbit vibe that is supposed to stimulate both the g-spot and the clitoris. It should be used on a bed and near an outlet when attached to the Inspire. This particular attachment lends itself for female solo masturbation, but I'm sure there are more creative uses for it as well. However, it should not be used anally, as there is no flared base.

This toy would be ideal if you are smaller vaginally and are looking for a nice full presence in your vagina. It may also work if you have a shallow g-spot that doesn't curve and needs very little pressure or vibrations.

Material / Texture

The whole attachment is made of a high quality silicone, so it is completely body safe and rated a 10 on the EF safety scale. The silicone is hard to the touch and has no give to it. It is also rather dense so it has a nice weight despite its smaller size.

There are no raised textures to this toy, but it is very velvety to the touch. I personally enjoy this because it feels luxurious in my hands, but it does provide some significant drag. This can be easily countered with some water based lube, making the texture suitable for beginners. Unlike most velvety silicone, this piece does not attract lint. (No really!)

There is a seam running the length of the toy, but for the most part, it has been buffed out. It is virtually unnoticeable in use, but I am not extremely texture sensitive. So to ease those who are texture sensitive, I can barely notice it on my finger tips.

Out of the box this toy did have a "new toy smell," but after a week, I have to hold it to my nose to smell it. It isn't unpleasant, just a very mild chemical smell. There is no taste.

Design / Shape / Size

comparison

The toy has 4" of total insertable length. Of these 4", the widest part is at about 2 1/2" inside from the vaginal opening and is 1 1/2" in diameter. From these dimensions, it seems that this toy is really designed to target shallower g-spots in the range of 2"-3" inside. I fall into this range but it didn't do much for g-spot stimulation (more about that in functions).

On one side of the bulb, the toy creates a tear drop shape. I haven't discovered a functional use to this but it is aesthetically pleasing. On the other side of the bulb, the toy then tapers down to about 3/4" in diameter at the smallest point. This portion hits the vaginal opening when the toy is fully inserted, so it doesn't strain your labia. Because this portion is thinner, it moves easier and allows for some maneuverability.

The base that connects the attachment to the toy is also the portion that comes into contact with the clitoris. The base dimensions are the same as the CC Inspire's (duh) at 1 1/2" in diameter. But what is wonderful is that the "J" shape makes it so that when it is fully inserted, the vaginal opening is 1" away from the closest part of the base. This means that if your clitoris is 1" to 2 1/2" away from your vaginal opening, that this attachment will easily reach it without too much maneuvering.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The functions and controls are extremely dependent on the CC inspire (being an attachment and all) and my review on that can be found here. I can, however, go over the performance of this piece and just how exactly it attaches to the CC Inspire.

The performance of this toy was, unfortunately, lack luster for me. It did hit my g-spot, but there wasn't enough pressure to actually stimulate it and the neck was too flexible to provide any extra force. I do have a curved g-spot so that may have been a contributing factor, but I still see it being a problem unless you need minimal pressure.

The other area where this toy fell short was transmitting the vibrations. I just didn't deliver. Even though it was a hard, dense silicone, it took too much power externally to feel it internally. The extreme tapered "J" design prevents any thrusting so it really just sits inside you. Which brings me to its redeeming quality, it is nice and filling without being strenuous on the vaginal opening. I am rather small vaginally and I am not in any way a size queen, so this may not be true for other women.

The attachment is not stretchy to fit all wands, but rather, it attaches onto the head by a notch feature. This is essentially an internal pattern that inter-locks like a puzzle piece. Because of this, the attachment is really only compatible with the CC Inspire. It is really easy to attach and detach and it doesn't come off during use.

Care and Maintenance

This attachment is very easy to care for. Simply detach it from the CC Inspire and wash it before and after each use. Cleaning can either be done with warm water and mild anti-bacterial soap, toy wipes, or toy cleaners. It can even be completely sterilized by boiling for three to five minutes or using a 10% bleach solution.

Storage is simple as well; just clean and make sure it is completely dry, and put it in a pouch away from other silicone toys to avoid chemical reactions. Speaking of such, do not use silicone based lube as it may destroy this toy.

Packaging

The toy was packaged in a see-through plastic box. There were no instructions included but it was pretty intuitive. I have actually used this box for storage because it is a nice size.

Thank you for the review. I've been dithering on whether to get an Inspire, but if the attachments don't work, I think I'll get a different wand.

This is only one of four attachments for the Inspire (EF only carries two of them), so if your looking at a wand for the attachments, this one isn't completely out. Although if you are looking for a wand for the power and quality, and the attachments are just a bonus, this one is amazing!

I really don't think that the fault is with this particular model, but with the idea in general. It is hard to make an attachment that is comfortable and transmits vibrations well. The only time I have been satisfied with a vibrator that was advertised as a g-spot stimulator was when the motor was at the g-spot. I think I judged it a bit harsh for what it is. That and the CC inspire was just sooo good on its own, it would be a feat of man to improve upon it.

Sorry this attachment didn't quite work out for you. It is a very pretty toy though. Perchance you will have better luck with other attachments, and if not then you are still left with a mind blowing wand. Great picture comparisons and nice descriptors for the way the toy transmits.

Really nice review. I had expected that this one would work better. I can see why it wouldn't though, now that I've read your review.

  • Inspire attachments. Will they fit...
    • will they fit any massager, or only the Inspire?
    • Quote: will they fit any massager, or only the Inspire?
I have the inspire (but still do not own the attachments) but from what I do know I can guess as to how it works. The inspire has a removable silicone cap to the head, this is removed the attachments then take its place. The thing is that the heads attach on by a notch feature (like an internal pattern that inter-locks like a puzzle piece). The silicone head that it comes with isn't particularly stretchy and I imagine the attachments to be made similar, so unless the vibe you have in question has a matching notch system, I don't see it working out too well.
