Use

The Pearly Bunny, by Smile, is a rabbit vibrator designed to rotate and vibrate you to great heights of ecstasy with its many functions. Made with the female anatomy in mind, this rabbit is meant to be inserted vaginally and have the little rabbit ears rest against the clitoris. Men may be able to insert this anally and have the rabbit ears vibrate against the perineum or scrotum, depending on which way it's turned.

This particular rabbit is designed with a slight G-spot curve, and it could possibly be used by men to stimulate their P-spot. As with all other G-spot toys, it will not work for everyone, as all bodies are not created the same anatomically.

The pearly bunny is waterproof, and it makes it easy to play with in the bath tub or shower; cleanup is a snap. Be sure to tightly close the battery cap so the water doesn't invade the battery compartment and ruin your toy. Silicone will also hold a temperature fairly well, so soaking it or running it under warm or cold water will lend to some fun temperature play.

This rabbit vibrator is perfect for using with a partner for foreplay, but during sex it might be a bit trickier to handle due to the rotation of the head. Solo sessions are definitely enjoyable with this vibrator, so grab some water-based lubricant and get comfortable.

Material / Texture

The Pearly Bunny is comprised of mostly silicone for the insertable part, and the battery compartment/handle portion is plastic. Silicone gets a 10 out of 10 on the Eden materials safety scale, meaning that it's nonporous, hypoallergenic, latex- and phthalates-free, and food-grade material. The handle is easy enough to wipe off with a damp cloth, or just wash it with the rest of the toy since it's totally waterproof.

Silicone is somewhat grabby on skin, so using water based lubricant will most likely be required to help it glide along smoothly. Just be sure you only use water-based lubes with silicone toys so as not to ruin the material. The silicone is also quite plushy and has some give to it, so it may seem somewhat large when first arriving at your doorstep, but it's really easy to accommodate given the material.

This particular toy is made from a slightly transparent pink silicone, and it has no odors to it. It's completely smooth, with the exception of the "eyes" on each side of the rabbit's "head". If you like a lot of texture on your toys, this may not be the one for you.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The Pearly Bunny is shaped like most rabbit vibrators that are sold these days. It has a long shaft with rotating beads, a rotating head, and a clitoral attachment that resembles a rabbit, with two long ears that quiver when the vibrations are turned on. The head of the Pearly Bunny is specifically shaped to help stimulate the G-spot (or P-spot, if a man decides to use this toy anally).

The battery compartment, or handle part of this vibrator, has four buttons built into the material, and six LED lights that light up when it's in use. It also has a small lid closure that just turns slightly to the left to open. To close it, just line up the little tabs on each side of the lid with the indentations on the toy and turn it slightly to the right.

Diameter wise, this toy would be great for beginners because it's not intimidating in the slightest, and it has some give to it. Conversely, those who need large diameter toys or something more powerful may want to look elsewhere, because this just won't satisfy size or power queens.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Pearly Bunny is powered by three AA batteries that pop right into the white plastic battery holder. The holder just slides into the handle end of the toy and on goes the lid with a twist. Be sure to close it tightly, so the rubber ring under the battery lid can seal out water properly.

On the handle end of the toy is where all the controls are located, and they may seem complicated to operate but actually are pretty easy to use. There weren't any instructions included in the box with the toy, but it was easy enough to figure out with some playing around. There are four buttons that operate the toy, and each one does something different. The squiggly button turns on the clitoral vibrations and cycles through the seven patterns of the toy. This also turns on the bottom LED lights, and they will flash in time with each pattern. The up arrow turns on the head rotation, gets the metal beads spinning, and turns it up from low to high. The LED lights on the top of the control area will turn on, but only the first one when it's on low, the first and second lights for medium, and all three lights for high. The down arrow button turns down the intensity of the rotation, and the circular arrow button will change the direction of the rotation.

The seven vibration patterns are as described below:

1. Low steady vibration
2. Medium steady vibration
3. High steady vibration
4. Quick pulsation
5. Low to high Rollercoaster
6. Long pulses
7. Three short pulses, one long pulse

Hold down the squiggly button for a few seconds to turn the toy off, including the rotation.

Traveling with this toy would be pretty easy as long as you have something to put it in, but removing the batteries before packing it away would be necessary to avoid vibrating luggage, as the buttons are quite easy to push. That being said, this toy isn't very loud, so dorm use is possible if there is some extra background noise in the room (this could be heard through blankets, but not through a closed door).

The vibrations on the clitoral stimulator are somewhat buzzy and not very strong, about 3 bees at the most. Also, the rotation and bead movements are very weak; anyone who clenches down hard enough could stop them without a problem, even when on the highest setting.

Care and Maintenance

Washing the Pearly Bunny is really easy: just get it sudsy with some antibacterial soap and warm water, or use your favorite toy cleaner. You can also wipe it down with toy wipes or a 10% bleach solution, just be sure you rinse it off thoroughly so you don't end up introducing harsh chemicals into sensitive body areas. Unfortunately, this cannot be boiled or tossed in the dishwasher as those methods of sterilization would ruin the motor of the toy, but the bleach solution would be enough to disinfect the silicone.

To store the Pearly Bunny, you could find a large storage pouch, use the empty box, or slide it into an old tube sock. It will pick up lint, hair, and dust no matter what you put it in, so washing before and after every use will be necessary. Storing this toy with others is fine, as long as its material isn't touching something else like jelly; the jelly may react or melt onto the silicone and ruin both toys at once.

Packaging

The Pearly Bunny comes packaged in a pink, white, and green cardboard box that has a flimsy molded plastic insert that cradles the toy. The front of the box has a picture of the toy itself, with a lady's face set in the background and the Smile logo above that. It also tells you the name of the toy and has the "You 2 Toys" logo near the bottom. The front also has a magnetic flap that opens to reveal the toy behind a see through window. On the inside of the flap is a little bit of information about the toy in English and German, and another shot of the blonde haired lady.

The back of the box has the same picture of the toy on it, minus the lady in the background and the "You 2 Toys" logo, but it does have a bit more information about the toy listed on it. The one side of the box has a paragraph of information that is written out in eight different languages, and the other side just shows yet another picture of the toy itself with the name of it.

The packaging is quite indiscreet and not really great for storage, so it should be recycled when empty and wrapped before gifting it to someone. If you take the flimsy insert out of the box, you could possibly use the box alone as short term storage until you find something else to put the rabbit in. There weren't any instructions in or on the box at all, and there were no warranties included either, but with enough messing around with the buttons you can easily figure out how it works.

Experience

Personally, I'm the kind of girl that prefers a singular pointed clitoral attachment as opposed to the traditional rabbit "ears". The ears tend to be too stingy and pokey feeling to be enjoyable to me, and the ones included on the pearly bunny were no different.

The material of the Pearly Bunny is superb and easy to clean, but it really isn't totally waterproof. I'd say it's more splashproof in that you can run water over it to wash it but any prolonged submergence would water log the battery compartment and possibly ruin the toy if too much water gets into it. I had only fully submerged the toy for a few seconds and there ended up being more than just a few drops here and there inside the battery compartment.

My other complaint with this toy is that the rotation of the head and the beads isn't strong at all. While inserted the toy itself doesn't rotate at the head, the handle does while you're holding it which sort of negates trying to g-spot with it. Also the beads that rotate are easily stopped while clenching down on the toy without much effort.

I gave the pearly bunny a 3 out of 5 star rating mainly because the rotating head and beads don't work properly while inserted. Aside from that the weaker vibrations and rabbit ears would be tolerable.
