Not as stimulating as I expected

Straight Up is a funky looking traditional style vibrator. It is made of flexible, soft silicone that bends well and is 100% body safe. It's good to use alone or with a partner.

Use

Straight up by Roulette is a traditional style vibrator made of 100% body safe silicone and plastic handle. Straight up has a pretty cool, funky design going on that just looks like it would be exciting for a texture lover like myself. This vibe is great to use alone or with a partner. It is easy to control and has some give to the material. It is intended for vaginal use but you could also use it to stimulate the nipples or other body parts. I don't recommend using it for anal and if you do you should use caution and keep hold of the handle. It is waterproof so you can take this into the shower or bath with you. I have not tested it in the water so can't comment on that aspect of the toy.

Material / Texture

Straight up's insertable part is made of 100% body safe silicone which rates a 10 on Eden's safety scale. The funky, futuristic design of the texture just looked like it would provide for some fun, different sensations when inserted but that was not the case. The indentations and nubs aren't really noticable when inserted which was a total bummer for me. The silicone is soft and very flexible while remaining firm enough for thrusting. This vibe has some drag to it but lubricant will help with any problem that it may be for some people. There was no noticable scent to the vibe. It is also hypoallergenic, non-porous, latex and phthalates free.

The handle and spin dial control are made of hard plastic.

The material and texture is good for any user since it isn't very pronounced and won't cause discomfort.

A picture to show how flexible it is:

Design / Shape / Size

This toy is good for anyone that has experience with toys. This isn't one I'd recommend to a beginner because even for me it is girthy! I can't always take the whole thing and have to be really relaxed, lubed up and work up to it. I can't take it all alone but can relax and get comfortable enough when using it with my partner to take most of it.
It is smallest at the tip and gets a little wider slowly going down the shaft. It is thickest right in the middle then tapers back down some into the plastic handle. The measurements are:
Length: 8 1/4"
Insertable length: 5"
Circumference: 5 1/4"
Diameter: 1 3/4"

It looks futuristic to me and like it would be a lot of fun but as I mentioned earlier, the texture isn't that noticeable inside the vagina. It has ridges, bugles and nubs around it. The only thing really noticeable is the bulges and increase in girth.

This toy isn't one you can stow away in your purse but would fit into a suitcase or overnight bag. It isn't discreet at all and one could probably guess it was a sex toy.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Working this vibe is very simple; there isn't much to it at all. It runs on two AA batteries that fit snugly into the battery compartment. Simply twist off the handle to access the battery compartment. There are no vibration patterns with this vibe, just steady vibration. Simply spin the dial (that looks kind of like a poker chip) up or down to increase/decrease the speed.

The vibrations are fairly moderate and are enough for me internally. Externally, this one just frustrates me because it can't bring me there as fast as I would like it to. The vibrations can be felt throughout the toy. They vibrate the handle on the higher settings and can make your hand feel a bit buzzy. The vibrations seem to be felt more in the tip. The vibrations are a deep buzzy type. Some people have reported this toy to be noisy but living somewhere that noise is important, I feel comfortable enough using this toy that I won't be heard outside of a closed door. Just turn on the TV or some music if you have any doubts but I turned it on high and stood outside my door and I couldn't hear it.

Care and Maintenance

Due to it being made of silicone, you should only use water based lubricant with this toy. You should store it in the plastic box it came in or a toy bag/pouch or just anywhere that will protect it because it will pick up everything!

To clean it you can use warm water and mild soap, toy cleaner or wipes taking care to get in the creases of the design.

Experience

I was really disappointed that the texture wasn't pronounced or firm enough to be felt vaginally. The whole reason I got this vibe was for the texture. But despite that downfall, it is a decent vibe to use.

I really wish we could have half vrooms and bees when rating toys. I'm rating this one 4 vrooms but would feel better rating it 3.5 if I could.
Follow-up commentary
Despite the texture not being as pronounced as I had hoped, I still like this one. It doesn't get used much and stays at my fiance's house and we get it out a few times to warm me up. I think the Roulette line is a pretty decent set of vibrators, good quality. I haven't had any issues with it.
