Not experiencing euphoria over Ophoria

For a free gift, I can't really complain about the Ophoria. For me, it just wasn't that useful. I found it too weak and buzzy to get me anywhere. However, I do love that the sleeve is silicone, making it body safe. This would be a good starter vibrator for beginners because it is not intimidating in size or power.

Use

The Ophoria Finger Vibe is a small vibrator from Lover’s Choice Inc. This isn’t something I would normally choose for myself, however, I received it for free so I figured I’d give it a try. It’s small and designed to be a clitoral stimulator. It may not be well suited for vaginal insertion because of it’s small size. However, it will work well for shallow insertion and some light teasing. If this were secured onto a finger, it could be used anally but because of its small size, I doubt many people would find it pleasurable. It also works well for erogenous zone stimulation. Run the Ophoria across your nipples for a gentle tease. Slide it down your stomach to tickle your skin.

Its small size may seem like a big downfall but it makes it ideal for travel! It’s easy enough to toss into a purse, backpack, or even your front pocket. The Ophoria is splashproof so it can accompany you into the shower. Just be sure you don’t submerge it or you can get water in the bullet, which would ruin the bullet.

Material / Texture

The sleeve of the Ophoria is made of silicone. Silicone is latex free, hypoallergenic, non-porous, and can be fully sanitized. Silicone is an excellent body-safe material for those who prefer soft materials. The silicone is matte and smooth but it’s not quite buttery soft like some luxury silicone you may be used to. It has a fair amount of drag so some users may find the Ophoria is more enjoyable with some water-based lube. It’s also a bit of a lint magnet. There is no texture on the Ophoria with the exception of a few small bumps inside the finger ring. These bumps are supposed to help keep the ring secure on your finger. The bullet of the Ophoria is made of plastic. The bullet is rigid and inflexible. It is the only firm and rigid part of the Ophoria.

Design / Shape / Size

The Ophoria is a small bullet nestled in a silicone sleeve. In it’s entirety, Ophoria is 3.5” long. The bullet takes up half of the length of the sleeve as it is 1.25” long. The bottom half of the sleeve is 1.5” of solid silicone. This solid silicone portion is flexible and has a fair amount of give. There is a loop at the bottom that allows you to secure this to your finger. This loop is .75” long. The sleeve is tapered, starting with a thin pointed tip and ending below the loop at .75” in diameter, 2.5” in circumference.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The bullet in the Ophoria runs off two watch batteries. With a power source like that, you should not expect strong vibrations. The bullet is powered by a simple button on the end that is sticking out of the sleeve. One push and it turns on. There is only one single speed, which feels to be a low 2 vrooms, 1 bee. When the bullet is turned on outside of the sleeve, the bullet reaches a high 2 vrooms (possibly low 3) and 2 bees. The vibrations are on the buzzy side of the spectrum, meaning they’re not deep, penetrating vibrations; they’re merely shallow, surface vibrations. I’ve found that the silicone at the tip of the sleeve dampens the vibrations of the already-weak bullet significantly.

Care and Maintenance

When the plastic bullet is removed from the sleeve, the sleeve can be cleaned with soap and water, toy cleaner, a toy wipe, or a 10% bleach solution. You can also boil the sleeve if you wish to sanitize the sleeve.

The Ophoria is small and can fit damn near anywhere. Toss it in your toy box, purse, dresser drawer, or even keep it in your pillowcase.

Packaging

The Ophoria came packaged in a plastic clam-shell style packaging. You can clearly see the vibrator inside of the package so it is not discreet. Inside of the packaging is also four spare watch batteries. They’re rather small so be sure you remember to fish these out before throwing away the packaging.

Personal comments

For a free vibrator, I can’t complain. I already said this isn’t something I wouldn’t have picked for myself so I didn’t have high hopes to begin with. The vibrations were really underwhelming. I prefer strong, rumbly vibrations so these weak, buzzy vibrations did nothing for me. The bullet is pretty much useless for me. However, I was determined to not let the silicone sleeve go to waste. Even though it’s a small bullet hole, I jammed my Salsa into the sleeve and used my Salsa with the silicone sleeve. That made it much more enjoyable, even if the Salsa did not fit properly. The silicone sleeve can dampen the vibrations of a strong bullet for those who are too sensitive to use bullet. The silicone sleeve can also be useful if you want to use the bullet on a partner and you need a cover that you can sanitize.

As is, I would recommend the Ophoria to those just beginning to experiment with toys, especially if they’re intimidated by the bigger vibrators like rabbits or wands. The less powerful vibrations aren’t overwhelming and the silicone sleeve is body safe so I feel comfortable recommending this to beginners. As someone who has experience with sex toys, I just couldn’t find a use for this toy.

Thanks for the review, I have this and have yet to open good to know you can jam Salsa into it but I don't want to weaken the vibrations of it.

My only thought upon seeing these was, "Gee, could I use that on my Salsa?"And leave it to you to test it for me, thanks! I find sometimes the Salsa gets a bit too slippery for me, but unless I got this free, I would not buy it just for that. Thanks for the honest review!
