Not Feeling So Frisky.

I wanted a cutesy vibe and happened to get this one at a good price. If I had the choice, I would not buy it again. It serves its function of being cute, girly, and non-intimidating, but it is too harsh in use for my personal liking.

Use

The Bzzz Buddy named Frisky is freaking adorable. It is hot pink, shiny, and a super girly, cutesy toy. But I would not recommend this purchase unless you're looking for a display toy. This toy is a little hard and sharp on the sensitive genital region. I feel that, were it not so phallic, it would be useful for body massage. Frisky does have several tips, and while I prefer the smooth and rounded edge, the other tips are usable if there is enough lube.

This toy also gets quite hot after a small period of use. Frisky's small size would make her easy to travel with, but she is one of the loudest vibes I own. I would not use her in an apartment setting or in a house while children are home.

Material / Texture

Frisky is made of phthalate-free, hypoallergenic, and non-porous plastic. She is super shiny and a very bright pink, less washed-out than the picture appears. She is topped with a cute kitten, who appears painted. I have not had any paint flake, but I have also not used this toy very often due to the heat it releases.

There are four interchangeable ends included:

1: smooth and rounded
2: flat with a flower-like arrangement of slightly raised disks
3: rounded with several large nubs
4: rounded with a multitude of teeny-tiny nubs

Everything is made of the same hard plastic, although beneath the ends is a metal trio of points. There is also a rubbery sealer ring to help make this toy waterproof.

Design / Shape / Size

This product is advertised as a "pocket rocket". It is quite compact, although the shape may give it away to those in the know. It is about 6" long. Unfortunately, it is much too short for insertion, and is not made for insertion regardless.

The top features a cute kitten with soulful eyes, I can see it bothering some people while they are trying to masturbate. The nubby tips also were all too hard to be truly pleasurable.

I can see this toy working for both advanced and beginner users. More advanced users may have a greater ability to control the toy and make its design work for the user. Beginner users may want the toy for its non-intimidating appearance.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Frisky only has one speed. For me this speed was not as much of an issue as the noise the toy produces. It is loud and buzzing. As it buzzes it also heats up, to a point that it is too hot for my clitoral area. It only takes a short time to become more annoying than pleasurable.

The control is easy, just twist the base and go. However, this also means that after putting the batteries in, it is possible to twist it too far and turn the toy on. There are situations where this can be a bad thing.

The toy is expertly waterproof. Because the tips are interchangeable, it is possible to get the insides dirty. It is nice to be able to wash this toy without worrying about water getting into the electrical components.

Care and Maintenance

Because Frisky is a non-porous plastic and contains a water seal, it is incredibly easy to clean the body. However, it is easy for various fluids to get stuck in the nubbier end pieces. Even after washing this toy I don't feel it is truly clean.

I store this in the box it came in - partly because it keeps the set together, partly because the box is small enough to fit in my storage, and partly because the packaging is adorable. The material of this makes me think it could be kept in various fabric-lined containers without issue. The hard, shiny plastic does not collect dust easily.

The toy can be cleaned with any type of toy-cleaner, or used with any sort of lube.

Packaging

The packaging does contain a small leaflet with battery instructions, which is nice because many packages don't have anything. The packaging is adorable, but with a name like "Bzzz Buddies," and a clear window in the front, it is pretty obvious what this package contains.

Thanks for the review! I had skipped over this particular toy because I didn't notice the "tips"...I knew those pointy ears on the cat would be something I didn't want near my "lady bits" and such a detailed animal shape was pretty much a killer for me. I suppose on the handle end of the toy, it's a bit better, lol.

  • Overheating Bzzz buddies
    • Do the metal balls ever overheat and hurt during use? I was curious cause I think they are so cute, but a burning clit however is not cute :(

  • Widgets and options such as color choices
    • I'd like to use a widget of the BzzzBuddies in my blog, but the system won't let me save more than one of the same item to my desktop. I've run into this problem before when attempting to choose specific colors of products for widgets.

      Is there a way to do this which I am overlooking, or is this simply not possible?

      Right now there does not seem to be a way to add more than one style or color of the same product to a widget. I completely understand that this feature would be desirable and useful, especially if you want to talk about a specific version of a toy or if you want to compare versions.

      I'll look into this issue more and update this thread if/when new options are available.

    • Hi! One thing about the BzzzBuddies that's certain -- they sure get people buzzzing (sorry, couldn't resist). We at TME understand the toy isn't for everyone, and that's a-okay. Nothing ever is though, is it?       Thanks for the honest feedback! This is why we love the Edenfantasys community. I'm definitely keeping track of all suggestions and comments so that we can keep it in mind for all the fun stuff we have planned for the future.

      P.S. The tips we chose because they're standard for introductory rockets and provide texture that many body massage enthusiasts go for (such as a light, vibrating scratch up and down the back -- it sends an exhilirating chill, I guarantee you, especially with warming massage oils!), but you all have provided inspiration for other tips that we can introduce in the future that would be fun for more sensitive areas. Until then, the rounded tip and nub-dot tip are my personal favorites for when the fun massage gets serious ;)
