Not Much Twist At All
Probably not a terrible beginner rabbit but not real exciting for those looking for something new and interesting. In the end, it worked better for me without the vibration or rotation turned on.Published: February 3, 2011
Pros:
good stimulation from the nubs, decent strength vibration, pleasant girth, waterproof.
Cons:
vibration and rotation ineffective together, no dedicated on/off button, very loud.
The G Twister is rather large, rather pink, rather loud, and nothing to write home about (though I don’t know why you would write home about that sort of thing…).
Actually I’m not being entirely fair. There are some good points to the G Twister. For one thing, it actually is a nice girth for those who like something filling but not overkill. The shape actually is quite effective for g-spot stimulation, and the nubs on both the curved tip and the clitoral attachment are a very nice touch. I found the nubs added extra sensation without being too intense. It’s also waterproof which is always nice. I took it in the bath with me and had no issues with water getting past the o-ring in the battery compartment.
I really wanted to like the rotating shaft, but being rather on the tighter side (a mix of natural sizing and regular kegel exercises), I found the rotation to be more or less useless when inserted. Basically it just added to the noise. There is a button to change the direction of the rotation which is a nifty idea in theory, but again, the rotation just didn’t wow me.
The multifunction vibration is a decent strength overall but again, very loud. It goes through your standard three levels of low, medium, and high and is controlled with up and down arrow buttons. Unfortunately, using the rotation with the vibration will all but kill the vibration. The rotation saps all the power. It is nice that the rotation and vibration have separate controls. I would however, like it better if there was a dedicated on/off switch as well.
I actually kinda dislike the ratio of total size versus insertable length on this toy. It’s 9 inches total with only 4 inches insertable. It is 1 5/8 inches in diameter. There is nothing the least bit discreet about this toy. It’s huge (tall and wide) and bright pink, and loud when turned on. The box it comes in is also large and pink and has a naked lady on it. So be careful opening this package in mixed company. Fortunately there is no particular smell to this toy out of the package.
The G Twister runs on 3 AA batteries. The material is TPR silicone which is a silicone based rubber compound. The toy should be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap. With just about anything porous, I always suggest using a condom if the toy is to be shared. Since it can’t be boiled like regular silicone, better safe than sorry. It is compatible with your favorite water based lubricants.
The toy looks rubbery but is a nice, smooth texture. Where rubber often has a sticky quality, this does not seem to have that which is nice. I hate trying to get lint and what not off of a rubbery toy that has touched the bed or (heaven forbid) the floor.
All in all this toy will probably come down to personal preferences. If strong rotation is important to you, you might want to pass this up. If vibration with rotation is important to you, again, you might want to pass this up. Honestly, I liked this better as just a dildo without using the power at all. The nubs make for interesting sensations inside and out. It is not, however, a toy that is likely to make it out of my toy drawer very often…if ever again.
