Not quite Enchanted

Evolved has always set itself apart to me because of how powerful their toys are, so when I received my Enchanted crystal, I was stunned at how weak it was. It's a basic shape that only works for broad stimulation as an external vibrator. It's limited uses and weak motor make this toy a bust for me.

Use

The Enchanted Crystals is a petite vibrator from Evolved Novelties. It's absolutely larger then a bullet, but is the smallest vibrator I have owned. Because of this, it is not well suited for use internally. It does work well for external stimulation, but due to its shape, in a more broad way then pinpoint.

It isn't designed for anal use, so I didn't try it that way. Theoretically, it certainly can be used to stimulate the anus externally. I would be cautious of trying to insert it because it is so small and hard to hold safely. I would worry about it being pulled into the body.

Material / Texture

This is made from plastic. The black portion is velvety with the large round bulge at one end. The rest of the black portion curves into a thinner neck. The neck is ribbed which makes it easy to grip during use. The crystal, whichever color you get, is a different plastic. It's smooth and shiny. I got the red one, but there are lots of color options available. The crystal is also slightly translucent.

Overall, the texture doesn't particularly add sensation because it isn't on the part that vibrates at all. This would be a toy for beginners or those that don't like texture like myself.

For some odd reason my boyfriend and I both found that this smelled of chocolate very slightly which seemed odd, but it isn't noticeable unless you have it right under your nose.

Design / Shape / Size

This is a rather petite toy. It's absolutely larger then a bullet, but at the same time, isn't really large enough to use internally. It's a total of 4.5" long from end to end, but only 3.5" of that could really be insertable. The widest part, the large round ends, are 4.5" in circumference while the thin middle portion is about 2.5" in circumference at the smallest. Theoretically, this could work internally, but for me it didn't do anything.

It's a nice toy for beginners because it is in no way intimidating, and its non phallic shape makes it discreet. Also, it could be a great toy for travel because it doesn't scream SEX TOY. It's totally easy to drop it into a makeup bag and take with you where ever you like.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Enchanted Crystals is a dial based toy. The vibrations are controlled by twisting the translucent sphere. At the lowest, it is actually barely discernible from the highest which I would rate at about the same as the vibration on my phone. At least the toy isn't much louder then a cell phone either. The vibrations are located in the solid colored end.

The dial on this is not one that is easy to knock during use accidentally. It is tight and makes an odd metal crinkling noise that always makes me nervous.

The battery compartment has a tight seal that makes it waterproof. The battery sits in the thin middle section, and to access it you turn the middle section. The toy runs on one AAA battery.

Care and Maintenance

Plastic is pretty darn low maintenance. It doesn't have to be stored specially, nor does it attract lint or dust. I toss my Enchanted Crystals in my toy drawer all on it's own without any kind of bag or anything. Plastic is also compatible with any kind of lubricant.

Packaging

The packaging for this was very similar to my Evolved Bottle Rockets, but more like a cheap version. The entire thing is made from clear plastic, and it is two parts, a large dome and a base. The toy sits inside, clearly visible. The packaging is covered in writing, none of which I would call discreet as it references igniting passion. It does give a nice list of information about how to use the product and what the toy is made from.

Follow-up commentary
This just can't compare to other clit vibes that I own. It is so lacking compared to my other Evolved toys. I can normally find some use for a toy, but this one is such an odd size and so weak that it is basically trash.
