Not quite the bad boy I need

"I`m nobody`s little pet. I can tickle to death." is what the Rebel claims on it’s box. But can it tickle me into an orgasm? Well, read on to find out.

extremely useful review
The Toyfriend Mini Rebel is a small g spot vibrator from Toyfriend, a company who specialized in brightly coloured toys with innovative shapes. I definitely recommend checking the rest of their line out! The Rebel arrived in a fairly plain box with a front window, but given the shape of the toy, I wouldn’t consider very discreet. (As a random side note, I adored the brightly printed ‘Toyfriend’ in multiple colours on the inside of the package.) It also comes with a little clear display stand to store your toy on when not in use, but I don’t use it, as my cat seems to think toys on my dresser were put there solely for her amusement and to knock to the ground.

The Rebel is a beginner friendly vibe. It's a non phallic shape that doesn't scream 'sex toy!' and is slender, measuring only 1 1/8" in diameter. The Rebel is also a shorter vibe, with only 4 1/4" of it's 5" length being insertable. If you have a g-spot that is set farther back in your body, this is probably not going to be the toy for you for internal use. It's also short enough that it to hit my g-spot, I had to hold it at an awkward angle. Luckily, the 'nose' of the toy can work well for clit stimulation as well.

The silicone Toyfriend uses is lovely. Plush, with a bit of a drag to it, and while it does pick up some lint and dust, it’s not as bad as other types of silicone I’ve played with. If you aren’t someone who gets fairly wet naturally, I would definitely recommend adding a bit of water based lube to your play with the Rebel, as there is a bit of drag to the Rebel. This vibrator is also waterproof, so is great for play in the bathtub or shower. (And yes, it did stand up to my ‘Waterboarding Toys for SCIENCE’ test.)

The Rebel runs on one ‘N’ battery, which is a weird little battery that looks like a AAA cut in half. I have another bullet that runs off one of these (The Tantus Touch), and unfortunately, it also had the same power issues. I can come from it, but it requires a lot of time, patience, and grinding the toy against my clit in juuuuust the right way. The other problem is that I have never seen an N battery on any of my recent trips to Walmart when I’m stocking up on AA or AAAs. I'm lazy, and don’t want to have to make a special trip to an electronics store for my vibrator batteries! The vibrations are controlled by a button on the bottom of the shaft. One push will turn it on, and another will turn it off. The vibrations are, dare I say, nice. Not overly strong or what I would consider 'bad boy' worthy. Underneath a blanket, they can't be heard through the door, and when the toy is inserted, the sound is muted even more.

Cleaning is the normal procedure for silicone toys. Wash them with antibacterial soap and water, or wipe down with a 10% bleach solution. Don’t boil the Rebel, though, or put him through the dishwasher, as you may fry his electronics. Don’t use silicone lube either, as it may react poorly with a silicone toy!
Experience
In use, well, the Rebel isn’t the bad boy he’s portrayed as. The ‘hook’ on the end of the toy does work well for g-spot play, although I would have preferred a longer handle. Thrusting with it just made my wrist ache from the awkward angle I needed to use with such a short handle and I soon gave up on trying to have a g-spot orgasm with this toy. Externally, the same hook also is convenient for rubbing the Rebel against your clit. I found that I could reach orgasm with this vibe, but it was definitely a longer and more fiddly process than I prefer. I am all about the instantaneous gratification that thrusting with a larger toy or a high powered vibe can bring. I imagine that the shape of the Rebel would work well for prostate play, if you were using it with a partner. I wouldn't recommend the Rebel for solo anal play, as there is no flared base to this toy.

If you prefer your vibrations to be on the ‘nicer’ side of the equation and your toys to not be thick or threatening, you should definitely check this Rebel out. Personally, I need something that's a bit more dangerous than this little Rebel to get me off.
Follow-up commentary
I've finally found the Rebel's niche in my toybox! It's perfect for prostate play. The boyfriend adores it, and I ended up giving it to him.

@Newfoundlust Thanks for reading! The other Toyfriends (this is one of the minis, thus smaller and less powerful) have more oomph to them, I'm told. You may try checking one of those out!

@Purpleladybug Cheers! I appreciate the comment.

Waterboard that Rebel for Science, aw yeah!

Thanks for the review, Pixel----it's good to hear that the silicone of these is nice, even if this isn't the shape for me.

@Antipova Toyfriend does make a lovely silicone. I'm looking forward to trying some of their more powerful toys and seeing if they'll work better for me.

I hope the bf is VERY cautious in using this anally as it has no flared base. I would worry about the body sucking it in
