I did not try it in the water, but because of the O-ring I believe water would not get inside. This toy is not terribly loud to where it will wake the kids.

The Waterproof Gem is very easy to clean, you can use warm water and a mild soap or a toy cleaner. It can be used with any lubricants. When it's not being used it can easily be stored in a drawer, toy chest, or the package it came in.

This toy came in a clear, reusable, easy to open package. The insert says it can be used in the shower or bath to discover an underwater treasure. It also states that it is for external use only.

I personally enjoyed it on high speed for a limited time because it started getting uncomfortable for me on my clit because it is hard plastic and I prefer softer material. Even though it's for external use, I did insert it into my vagina to see how it felt and I did not like it. It lacks girth and it felt like the vibration disappeared inside me, I could not feel it. Definitely not my favorite toy.
