Not The Most Pleasurable Petal

I'm really not impressed with this vibrator. It's loud. The texture is nice, but I like more girth. If we can stand the noise we might use it as a teaser.

Use

What we have here is a simple, torpedo shaped vibrator. It's very easy to use for the beginner or advanced toy lover. We all have different expectations, but keep in mind that this toy, pretty as it, is basic. The only thing that might be slightly intimidating is the texture. If you're not a fan of texture then this is not a toy that will interest you.

These guys are good for vaginal and clitoral stimulation, but let's stray away from anything anal. We don't have any kind of flared base to work with and we don't want anything getting lost in your butt. You can go solo with the Pleasure Petals or use it with your partner. Use it as a teaser, for foreplay, as a warm-up for bigger and better things, or during intercourse - whatever floats your boat. Keep in mind that as far as noise goes, you can forget about any kind of discretion with the Pleasure Petals. It's loud.

Material / Texture

The Pleasure Petals is made of non-porous, phthalate free plastic. The toy is hypoallergenic, latex free and made from food-grade material. It has a rating of 8 on Eden's Safety Scale. That's pretty good considering that 10 is as high as it goes.

The vibrator is very firm and not flexible at all. It is smooth to the touch except for the raised, floral design. Because of its texture and matte finish, additional lube might be required for better satisfaction during use.

Design / Shape / Size

Pleasure Petals is manufactured by NMC Ltd. That stands for Nanma Manufacturing Company Ltd. It's one of Asia's largest manufacturers and distributors of adult novelties.

The Pleasure Petals is powered by two C batteries that are easily inserted into the vibrator by unscrewing the clear plastic bottom. At the very tip of the vibrator there is a white spot where the plastic coating didn't quite make it all the way to the top. That's a sad little design flaw.

This vibrator is a prime example of how obvious a sex toy can be. You can slap flowers on it, but it's still a vibrator. Traveling with it might not be the best idea. It doesn't lock, so unless you take the batteries out, it could turn on and have a good time with itself.

The shape of this toy isn't very appealing to me. The top comes to a tapered point. I have this terrible feeling that it's going to poke me in the cervix. Ouch. It has a nice length, but I tend to enjoy toys with more girth. For most people, the width and length of this toy should prove to be very accommodating. It has a length of 7 inches, insertable length of 6 1/2 inches, circumference of 4 1/4 inches, diameter of 1 1/4 inches, and a weight of 4.8 ounces. However, once you add those two C batteries, that gives it a little more heft.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Pleasure Petals vibrator is controlled via dial based located at the very bottom of the toy. Simply turning the dial will allow you to increase and decrease the level of vibrations of the toy. It's very easy to operate, and the dial base is easily accessible during play. The vibrator reaches about as high as a 3.5 on the Vroom Scale. I'm giving it four Bees for noise. It's lucky it's not getting five Bees considering the fact that it sounds more like a jackhammer than a vibrator.
    • Easy to use
    • Multiple settings
    • Not very discreet

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning this vibrator is really easy:
1. Use a toy cleaner
2. Use a wipe
3. Antibacterial soap and hot water
4. Wipe down with isopropyl alcohol

I'd also suggest using an old toothbrush to scrub between the textured parts of the toy. It helps get any dried fluids off. Keep in mind that this vibrator isn't waterproof so be careful not to get the battery area wet.

Any lubes are compatible with this vibrator - water, oil, or silicone. My personal favorite is a water based lube called Maximus.

When it comes to storing your Pleasure Petals, take the batteries out first. You don't want to run those down. Plastic is pretty safe to store with other toy materials so slipping it in your toy drawer should be fine. If you're looking for storage options, you can check out the ones that Eden has to offer.

Packaging

The Pleasure Petals came in a clear plastic bag that was inserted in an Eden's plastic case. Eden's information colorfully decorated the plastic, recyclable case. Once you received the Pleasure Petals from Eden, there's no questions where to come to find more!

Experience

In bed, the only thing louder than The Husband is the Pleasure Petals. Trying to communicate with each other over the noise of the toy made for a good laugh. We like to talk dirty, but with a jackhammer in your coochy, things just don't sound the same.

Follow-up commentary
This was not the worst free toy that ever came with one of my purchases; it wasn't the best either. The Pleasure Petals has a nice amount of texture, but the power just wasn't enough to make it a go-to toy for me. However, those who don't need major stimulation might really enjoy it if they can get past the noise.
