Nothing Egg-ceptional with this Egg

I enjoyed using the egg even though it didn't really have the power I was looking for. The batteries are quite expensive and I didn't check to see what type it took, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought it to begin with.

Use

This egg can be used as an external clit simulator if you are using indiscreetly it at home. The best use is vaginal insertion with your significant other controlling it with the remote. Do not insert this toy anally as there is nothing but a small cord to keep it from getting lost. I have not even attempted to pull the egg out with the small cord when vaginally inserted, it does not appear to be attached that well. You can use this egg pretty much everywhere with ease. Beginners and advanced users can both enjoy this toy.

Material / Texture

The egg is made of food grade plastic which rates an eight on Eden's safety scale. It is also latex and phalates free. The egg is smooth with no added texture, although there is a seam line around the middle of it where the two pieces meet. This seam is noticable when handeling but once inserted I did not notice it at all. Upon opening the package I did not notice any odor to it. Being made of plastic, there is no give to this egg and it is not flexible at all.

Design / Shape / Size

The egg measures in at 2 1/2 inches in length and 4 1/2 inches in circumference. The remote measures in at 2 1/2 inches. I think the size is average for most eggs, not too big for beginners and not too small for those more advanced. The egg itself is not very discreet as it looks like what it is. The remote is slightly more discreet because it can easily be mistaken for any kind of remote or key fob but the color does not help.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This egg has 7 different functions. Functions 1-3 are a simple vibration, each function is a little stronger than the previous. Functions 4-7 are pulsating patterns. The vibrations start out as weak and only gradually get stronger with each cycle change. Overall I would rate this at 3 Vrooms and that is being generous. The plus side is that it was fairly quiet, not to say someone sitting right next to you wouldn't hear it. You could always pass it off as your cell phone though if need be. There are only 2 buttons on the remote, the on/off button and the one to change the function. If you accidentally hit the function button you have to cycle back through all of the functions to get back to the one you where on. Being made of plastic the vibrations carry pretty evenly throughout the entire egg, I did not notice one place where the vibrations seemed any stronger or weaker. Our experience with this was that the range of the remote was about 10 feet, any further than that and we did not have any luck.

Care and Maintenance

To care for plastic is simple; you can use a toy cleaner, wipes, or a wet cloth and antibacterial soap. Keep in mind that the egg is waterproof but the remote is not, so do not submerge it while cleaning. Storage is just as easy, as plastic does not normally interact with other materials. You can drop it in a drawer or in a bag on your shelf. This toy is compatible with any water based lube if you need to use it.

Experience

I found that while easy to use, the vibrations were not as strong as I had hoped they would be. The batteries did not seem to last long and they are quite expensive to replace. The batteries needed to operate this egg are 6 Watch batteries. While the price of the toy is ok, these are expensive batteries. You would be better off to buy several of the eggs or take stock in a battery company.
Follow-up commentary
This egg has sadly made it's way to the bottom of the toy box and hasn't been used but maybe once or twice since the review was written.

Thanks for the review. I've found that on the whole wireless eggs really aren't worth the money they're charging for them. They just aren't that great.
