NSA Fun, While It Lasted

This toy delivers "No Strings Attached" fun as there is no pesky cord attaching the remote to the bullet. Couples can enjoy using it for some exciting adult fun while on the go or at home. Just be sure to have some back-up batteries on hand in the event you find yourself moaning for more while the toy quickly drains up every last drop of power from them.

Use

Doc Johnson's 7 Function Wireless Remote Vibe allows both a solo player or a couple to take the fun outside of the bedroom, discreetly and almost silently. It's best used for clitoral and vaginal stimulation, although it can certainly be used on the outer anus. Vaginal insertion is optional; however, it may not be the wisest decision to pop it in the anal cavity, safety cord or not (and a short one at that), lest it find itself buried up there. Only the bullet is approved for water fun, so make sure the controller stays dry.

Material / Texture

Both the remote and the bullet are covered in a matte finish, heavy-duty, non-porous, phthalate-free ABS plastic, which has a soft velvety coating appropriately named "Velvet Touch" that provides a bit more drag than a traditional shiny silver bullet. It also warms up quickly to the touch, and best of all, it won't attract lint which makes the surface very easy to keep clean. The smooth texture is appropriate for all levels of users. Both water-based and silicone lubes will work with this type of material. There is no odor or taste.

Design / Shape / Size

The toy is actually made up of two parts: a lightweight handheld remote control and a heavier vibrating bullet unit. Both pieces are equipped with corded loops/handles that double as the antennae. Specifically for the bullet, its "handle" appears to be sturdy enough to withstand a slight tug in order to remove it from the vagina. The remote also has a small lobster claw catch on it in order to hook it to the other piece for safe storage.

The bullet itself is made up of graduated bulges, with the smallest bulge/tip being rounded for comfort and pin-point precision stimulation. If using internally, keep in mind that it's larger than the basic silver bullet, measuring 4 inches long and roughly 4-3/4 inches in circumference at the widest part, but this larger size and design will also help it from slipping out. Maintaining a firm grasp on the toy is easy if using it externally.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The best thing about this toy is that there are no cords whatsoever attaching the two pieces. A wireless remote allows for more freedom of movement, regardless of who is using it. The "giver" can be outside the room operating the controls while the "receiver" enjoys an array of sensations.

The on/off button must first be pressed, which in turn illuminates a small green light to let the user know the toy is functioning. This light will also flicker when the batteries are low. Another button marked with the number "7" begins a cycle of 7 different modes: low, medium, and high vibrations followed by 4 different patterns of pulsations and oscillations at different intensities and speeds. If used internally, no sound is audible, other than the possible moans from the wearer. Externally, it was relatively quiet, but not silent by any means.

The biggest disadvantage to owning this toy is the replacement of the batteries. Inserting them isn't the problem, it's hunting them down that might be more of a challenge since they are a non-standard size. If unable to locate them among the regular batteries, check out a camera department or go to a specialty electronics store such as "Radio Shack" or "Batteries +". It does come with a starter set of three 1.5 V "N" batteries for the bullet and one 12 V for the controller, both of which will run out very quickly whether the toy is in use or not. This is why it is more important than ever, especially with this type of toy, to remove the batteries after each and every use.

Care and Maintenance

Only the bullet portion can be fully submersed under running water for cleaning. Just add some antibacterial liquid soap along with the warm water or use a toy cleaner. This type of toy cannot be sterilized. Any type of lubrication is suitable. When storing, just hook the two parts together and keep wherever you like.

Packaging

The packaging is just a plastic box through which the toy is visible. There are no suggestive photographs, simply the name of the toy, featured highlights, and the other usual warnings, company information, etc.

Experience

Although the concept sounds like brilliant fun, this particular toy didn't do it for me. I'm sure in part it was due to the design, which I found bulky and hard to insert in my vagina. Once it was in, I could feel the vibrations, but they did nothing for me on the inside or when rubbing them on my clitoris. My partner wasn't impressed either and deemed them "weak".

Secondly, the batteries died so fast, within a week. Okay, so part of that was my fault because I forgot to remove them. But seriously, one week? Is that all I get? I've inadvertently left batteries in other toys for up to a month and they still worked when I turned them back on.
Follow-up commentary
I still don't recommend these wireless thing-a-ma-bobs unless you don't mind getting no more than a few times use out of them. Needless to say, after this one died on me, I didn't bother to replace it.

Great review! Disappointed to know that the vibrations are weak and the batteries die quickly... It has been difficult finding one of these with a good wireless range!
