YOOO - vibrator by Fun Factory - review by kawigrl

I was super excited to receive my yooo from eden. It's adorable and my first thought when I opened the package was that it's super discrete and oh so cute. Honestly it reminds me of an obscure toy from asia and could pass as one or a body massager if discovered by others. Fun Factory even sounds like a run of the mill toy manufacture. Overall my experience with the yoo has been average I'm giving it 3 stars mainly due to its performance in relation to cost. Even though it is a great product it's pretty expensive and for me it's only a warm up toy. I've had it for about 2 months and have procrastinated on writing my review because I really wanted to love the yooo hoping that something would change I tried every thing I could think of. I tried different positions and locations (bed bath etc) all with the same results- I get really revved up but I just can't get my orgasm which can be frustrating, however I'm the type that is generally easy to please but if I can't orgasm within 10-20 minutes I just can't cum. I've only used it for solo play and for me it fits pretty comfortably in the palm of my hand. It might be difficult to maneuver during partner play or for people with larger hands due to its compact size. It's about 2/3 the size of a dollar bill and seems a little smaller than the described measurements on the product page. link link
This toy is designed for external clit, vaginal, and anal stimulation but is enjoyable all over the body. Some women might be able to use it internally to manipulate it to fit. I like the Yooo its fun to play with and warm up with but just falls short when it comes to power.

The Yooo is made of nice smooth silicone and is 100% waterproof. It doesn't have any noticeable sent or taste. It's very pretty and features a colored silicone body, white silicone control buttons and a white plastic control panel. The silicone gives and feels a lot like a bouncy toy rubber ball, I've actually wondered if it would bounce. The control buttons are also soft which is nice it doesn't say they're made of silicone but I have not reason to think they're made of another material.

The overall body is a y shape with three bulbous round balls hence the name YOOO. It has 2 round shaped bulbs each with their own motor. The larger of the two has a more powerful motor that kicks out the stronger vibes. The center bulb has the three button control panel, + - and a * supercharge turbo button. It has a nice simplistic design reminds me of a toy but isn't really childish. The size is adequate but the power isn't I feel like there is just something missing like it needs to step up a notch to be my favorite vibe. It would be very easy to hide or travel due to its size and design it's pretty discrete.

The controls were a little odd to get used to even though I had read the directions which lack major details- but most of my initials problems were actually caused by charging issues which I'll describe later on. The control panel has + - and * (turbo). When the white center panel is touched sometimes it turns on the lights flicker on and blink but the toy does not vibrate (it also does this when coming in contact with water or the charger). The most significant detail not described in the manual is that the toy blinks 2x before turning on/off vibrations and entering/leaving functions/modes. It's pretty nice becuase it lets the user see whats going on and in order to change a major mode/function you needs to hit the + or - again after the 2 blinks if you don't it assumes the tap was a mistake and stays in the current mode. Since the toy is small this is helpful because when you're excited fingers tend stray or you press the wrong button carelessly. To turn the toy on you hold the + down for a few seconds and it begins to vibrate, to increase the vibration power level you press the + down. There are 8 vibration speeds that are just pure low-high settings but the higher levels do feel a little different than the lower settings. I'm positive that the motors in this vibe spin and actually change directions and can rotate which is pretty cool. As the vibration gets higher you can feel a little bit of a circular spin feeling from within the bubls the weight within the bulbs shifts/spins. Another intereting motor fuction is that I've literally felt the motors start rotating in reverse. This only happens when the toy has been on for a while I'm not sure if its supposed to add to the sensation but I think it's a mechanism to prevent the motors from overheating, burning out or wearing out. It can be a little distracting because you'll have a fantastic motion going and all of sudden it pauses for a second and starts doing the same exact thing in reverse. For me its like my buildup has to start all over again.

Once you click + 9x you get to the programmed patterned vibration modes. The control panel will blink 2x before entering the programmed vibration modes to let you know that you're leaving the low-high mode it's like a safety mechanism to make sure that's what you want. From there each time you hit the + you will enter a different vibration program. There is a total of 4 program modes each one has its own unique vibration and blinking light pattern. The light settings are pretty cool when taking a bath so much fun I decided to start taking candle lit baths so that I could see the glowing "light show". If you continue to click the + the toy will cycle back to the 1st mode- it goes
+ roller coaster small bulb long circular vibration then large bulb long much stronger vibration
+ faster yoyo both shorter quick vibrations the larger bulb is a only little longer and shorter
+ pulsing
+ faster pulsing and also an occasional long spin
+ back to roller coaster etc. The toy will not leave the program mode settings unless you hit turbo. To turn off, decrease vibration level or leave the patterned modes you hit the -, the toy blinks 2x before leaving the vibration pattern modes and needs to be hit again to change modes.

Although described as more powerful version of each other all 4 program modes feel very different. You can tell all 4 modes has something different going with the motors the difference between 1 and 2, 3 and 4 does have difference other than speed a intensity level. I personally like the 1st program "roller coaster" the best, it feels amazing and I get so close and each time I feel like I'm about to have an orgasm but then I don't I can't cum. ***This would be really great for someone into orgasm control.*** That setting keeps me on edge but I really wish it was just a little stronger like the larger bulb needs to be a tad stronger or a little bit longer.

The supercharge turbo * button can be clicked at any time and will add an intense blast of vibration, turbo button overrides any vibration program or level currently running. If you want to keep the toy at the turbo level (which is the highest vibration the toy has) you hold it down for about 2-3seconds and it sets to "turbo mode".

The toy is a little loud and can be even louder when used in the bath. It performed equally under water. Once you get used tot he controls it becomes pretty easy but figuring them out was a little more difficult then it should have been.

Yooo is made of non-porous silicone so it's easy to clean and care for. The body is made and buttons are made of silicone and the control panel is made of plastic. I use soap, water and toy cleaner to clean mine but the yooo can also be safely sterilized with a bleach solution which makes it more durable and partner friendly than other materials. Since it's silicone you need to stay away from silicone lubes and stick with water or oil based ones. On occasion it picks up lint but is not nearly as bad as my vixskin dildos. I keep it in the plastic container it came in but the container is pretty fragile so it's going to probably need a new home soon I'm pretty sure it's small enough to fit in a sock though.

It has a unique charging system and is a wireless rechargeable vibrator. The toys uses lithium polymer technology where there is no danger of 'memory effect' that other rechargeable batteries have. So far I do not like the rechargeable Click N Charge system. It's been a real pain in the ass. Unlike most battery vibes that the battery dies slowly and you feel that the battery needs to be replaced this toys just blinks and turns off. When I first stared using the toy it was really confusing because I thought I was using the controls wrong I would press the + - or * and all of sudden it was just turn off out of nowhere. It took me a while to realize that it was because the batteries were not charging properly. In the guide it says the yooo can be used at its max level, the turbo level for ca 30 mintues (i'm guessing ca means approximately). The Click N Charge battery is very sensitive. The Yooo has a magnet in the control panel and the power adapter/charger also has a magnet in it. They should connect sync and charge, but that doesn't always happen (at least not with mine). When the battery is completely dead it doesn't glow and the fun factory logo doesn't turn red to indicate it's charging. Also sometimes moving it a millimeter will make it start or stop charging, since the toy control panel is round it's not a flat surface and the adapter tends to slide/move a little even when the toys hasn't been touched. So it can be hooked up for hours and literally only have been charging for the first few seconds/mintues. The problem is the light is only red when its charging/engaged. If the toys is charged the logo is off (sometimes the buttons glow- i'm assuming they're always supposed to glow when fully charged it doesn't say it in the manual but it also doesn't mention detail about the light functions), a major problem is that the logo is also off when the charger falls off or the magnets aren't in the right position. link. In this photo the yooo is connected but not charging/engaged properly- the fun factory logo isn't red and the control buttons are glowing- hence it looks like it has finished charging in reality it isn't even close. So the first day I got the toy I read the directions and set it up to charge overnight. The charger was charging and the Fun Factory log was red when I woke up the red light was off so I figure yay its done. I started to use it and all of a sudden it just turned off, i placed it under the charger and the logo didn't turn red so I thought ok its charged I must have pushed the wrong button....it took me a few uses to realize that unless I see the fun factory logo red for a few hrs that the toy isn't actually charged.

**i went to charge the toy tonight and I thought I ruined the charger, I have a metal bed frame and the adapter was plugged into the wall. The magnet in the charger clicked to my bed frame and the fun factory logo lit red and turned off all before I could pull the charger off the frame (the charger in the wall though was still a steady red). I tried putting the charger on the toy but it didn't recognizing it. Half an hr later i tried moving the charger and it started charging, I thought I had short circuited the charger somehow but i guess Fun Factory thought of this and built in safety mechanism. I reread the charger manual and it doesn't mention it but does say because of the magnets used in the Click N Charge toys and chargers ***do not put directly over credit cards with magnetic strips, and Pacemakers***, also the toy cannot be used when charging, for some the yooo's battery life might be to limited
