This was my very first vibrator back when I was younger and a total newbie to the wonderful world of my clitoris. It was absolutely perfect for the purpose of getting to know myself, what I liked, and where I liked it. It's small, relatively quiet, discreet, and very easy to use, yet powerful enough to give great sensations and orgasms.

The egg is big enough that it positions easily - about 2 inches long by 1.5 inches wide by 3.5 inches around. If you are a beginner like I was, or using it for extra stimulation during other sexual activities, this is good because you don't have to get it spot on your clitoris to stimulate yourself or your partner. It can also be used on other parts of the body - nipples, penis, around the anus, or get creative! - but is primarily designed to stimulate the clitoris.

The 31 inch cord allowed for plenty of wiggle room, and the controller (which is about 4 inches long x 1.5 inches wide x 1 inch thick) is light and fairly straightforward in operation - a simple turn of the knob will take you up or down in terms of vibration intensity. The dial is in a good place - you don't have to contort your hand to reach it. It has only one "pattern" (a constant buzzing sensation), but that didn't bother me, as I am not a fan of differently pulsating "patterns". The sensation stays localized to the egg and can be felt by the hand that is holding the egg, and does not transfer to the hand holding the controller. As I said before, it was also discreet. You can definitely hear it from under the covers, but not through a closed door. This, coupled with the small size, makes it a good travel companion. I did find that it required both hands to use (one to hold the bullet in place, and the other to hold the controller). Once you find a speed that is right for you, you can generally set the controller down, but you will need to pick it back up if you need to adjust the intensity. Likewise, depending on how you prefer to position yourself, the egg will stay in place between your thighs, but if you prefer to masturbate with legs open, you will need a hand to hold the egg in place. I would not recommend inserting this toy either anally or vaginally, as too much tugging on the cord can put a strain on the wires and will ultimately lead to this toy going to an early grave. If you do insert, this, I would strongly recommend covering it with a condom first so you can pull on the condom to remove it, and not the cord. If lube is needed, water, oil or silicone lube is fine.

Both the egg and the controller are made of plastic, which rates as an 8 on the safety scale, and is non-porous and phthalate-free with a firm, smooth textures. For added safety, this toy is also made of food-grade material and is hypo-allergenic and latex free.

Care is very basic, which, again, lends itself to beginners. It runs on two AA batteries. As the batteries drain, the intensity of the vibrations wane, so make sure to have spare ones ready and waiting. Cleaning consists of wiping down the egg with a toy wipe (or some mild soap and water) after every use and allowing it to dry well. If you do choose to use soap and water, be careful not to get water anywhere but the egg, as this toy is NOT waterproof. Also, be sure to pay attention to the seam around the middle of the egg, as fluids, skin cells, etc. tend to accumulate there if you don't clean it well.
