The Fairy Wand Rechargeable is a wand style massager/vibrator - and don't be fooled by the smaller-than-usual-wand-size - because it packs a punch!

It looks, from the color and size, like it's marketed to women and would primarily be used for clitoral stimulation, but the head of the toy is small enough that it could be inserted vaginally too. I wouldn't recommend anal insertion because it looks like it could be a painful removal process if the entire top of the wand slipped inside.

I do think men would enjoy this too - and they probably won't mind the pink and white aesthetics (even if they do at first) after they feel how powerful it can be.

The Fairy Wand is a smooth, hypo-allergenic, food grade plastic and is ribbed on the sides of the top of the toy (which can provide some great EXTRA sensation during play or masturbation).

The handle is almost velvety-smooth, and the bottom of the wand is pointed, so if you're holding it or sliding your hands up and down it, you'll want to be careful because it can poke and surprise (not very painful, but a little "yowch!" could happen) you.

It's plastic so it's somewhat porous. If you share it with a partner or lover, you'll want to cover it with a condom and take care to clean the ridges on the sides where dust or fluids may get trapped. I took a soft, dry cloth flat in the palm of my hand and held the wand upside down to gently twist the top around to dry it, and it worked perfectly.

I was surprised to see how small this was because I've had a Hitachi (and loved it). I was sort of skeptical after seeing the size, but the colors and shape of it kept me interested. It's long enough to be held by two hands with no space between the hands but not nearly as heavy as the Hitachi.

It weighs a little over 9oz and is a total of 8" long. The most notable feature, to me, is the scrolling power control (as opposed to the low/off/high of the Hitachi). During masturbation, it's very easy to scroll from very low to very high - and the differences in the vibrations can be felt!

It's not discreet at all - though that wasn't what I was looking for in a toy. I would gladly trade power for sound (and be happy about it).

As you can see, the power control is a scroll as opposed to a button or switch. It's extremely nice to have sliding levels of vibrations rather than just switching from low/nothing to high/bone jarring. I was wondering if, during masturbation, I might accidentally hit the scroll to a different level but I didn't. It's very well placed and easy to scroll but easy to avoid while holding.

This is not waterproof or water resistant - keep it away from water! Even when cleansing, keep your water flow as low as you can.

I did not purchase the USB attachment, so I cannot say how well or poor it might work, but that there is a USB option is pretty awesome to me.

It's really very noisy, not something you'd use while other people were in your house if you didn't want them to hear it, because it's loud enough to be heard on the other side of a small house (and you might be too, after using this!).

Because it's plastic, it can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and water or toy cleansers and is compatible with silicone, oil, or water based lubes.

It does come with a storage bag - so after cleaning and between uses, you have a safe, clean place to store it. The toy comes in a plastic and paper style box which is obviously useless but does give a lot of information - the storage pouch is fairly nice though. It's nothing special but will get the job done.

I was sort of disappointed in the box - as I like boxes that are high quality and nice to look at, but after using this toy, the box it came in was the least of my concerns. It was really nice to take out of the box, though the charging cord did not come in the box - it was packaged separately (in a sort of sandwich bag style plastic baggie), which gave me pause.

I did not like that and it felt cheap, but I wasn't too worried and haven't had any problems at all with the cord or charging the toy. I left it on the charger for about 4 hours and used it 4 times in about 36 hours (I know! I know!) without it losing any charge until the fourth time. The only thing that alerted me to remember to recharge it was how far I had to scroll the control to get it to turn on. It would be nice if, along with the green "CHARGING" light, there was another light to let you know it is fully charged.

On my last use of it, the handle did get hot, but as with my Hitachi which got hot too, I wasn't afraid. The end of it didn't get hot, but the handle was VERY warm to the touch.

I really thought nothing would ever compare with the Hitachi, but the Fairy has changed my mind!
