I had two favorite ways to use this toy... from the back and with my hips raised really high. Try throwing your legs over the couch or head post. I found if you raise you tilt your pelvis up the anal vibe will give you more sensation. If you mix up the speeds you will be able to find which setting you like best and to enjoy yourself longer. Definitely use a condom when you're using the anal part vaginally (in fact, it's a good idea to use a condom on each insertable part all the time). That discoloration is an indication of the porous nature of jelly- it's too easy to transmit bacteria. And, jelly can't be cleaned/sterilized, so there's no solution other than to cover it.
How many speeds does this vibe have? Just another reminder here, you shouldn't go from the anal area to the vagina without proper cleaning or a condom first!
