Ophori-eh

I wanted to like this toy, I really did. As a sensitive users, I really wasn't able to get this to work for me in any way, which was a huge bummer. If you like a tease, this is an awesome toy that is made of the safest materials you can find! It's quiet and waterproof, and it comes with extra batteries. This finger vibe is not for everyone, but if you don't want something with much oomph it's a great choice.

Use

This toy has almost no learning curve at all and is very versatile. It is intended to slip over your (or someone elses) finger and stimulate any erogenous zones that it can reach. I find that it is best used externally on the clitoris or nipples because of the size and design. This also can be used vaginally for either shallow thrusting or teasing. I can not see this as being useful for g-spotting, but more on that later.

Because of the material and design, this also can be used for light anal play. If you keep it slipped on all the way down your finger, this is anal safe and great to use for both external teasing and shallow insertion. You also can attach a retrieval cord to the finger loop for additional safety, but please make sure that it is secure.

This would be a good way to introduce toys into the bedroom because of the material, soft feel, small size, and ease of use. It would be very difficult to damage your partner in any way with this toy, so I feel like this would be a very safe place to start.

The Ophoria finger vibe passes Ryu's dorm seal of approval because of the small size, waterproof bullet, and low noise levels.

Material / Texture

The sleeve that comprises most of this toy is made of body safe silicone. Silicone is rated a 10 out of 10 on the Eden safety scale because it is not porous and it can be completely sterilized. The silicone is brightly colored and is very soft and flexible.

The bullet that slips into the bottom of the sleeve and continues until about halfway up is made of plastic. Plastic is also nonporous and is rated an 8 out of 10 on the Eden safety scale. The bullet is firm and slick and has almost no give at all to it. It has slight ridges to help it stay inside the sleeve.

I found no smell or taste out of the package, and it hasn't retained any during use. I feel like both beginners and advanced users will be able to appreciate the body safe materials and the ease of clean up these materials allow. The softness of the material may be better suited to beginners who aren't as in tune with their own body.

Design / Shape / Size

While this toy is small, it is comparable in size to other 'finger' type toys. The tip is sharper for more of a pinpoint stimulation, but the sides are broader and allow for more area of vibration. I feel like this is essentially an extra long bullet with a finger attachment. It is in total 3.5 inches long, with 2.75 inches being insertable. At the widest point it is 2 inches around. If you need either length or girth, this is not a good place to find either.

In theory, this is an awesome design. I really enjoy that it can be used for both clitoral stimulation or shallow insertion, and I feel like this SHOULD be a toy that works for my body. I have a very shallow g-spot and usually can get almost anything to work for insertion. I feel like the major shortcoming of this toy is the softness of the sleeve.

The soft sleeve makes it almost impossible to get any kind of fun out of this when inserting it. Many people also enjoy a bit of pressure and firmness on their clitoris, but this also will impede their fun. The softness is both a blessing and a curse, though, because I know many beginners can get carried away if they are not used to their own body.

This toy is great for travel and is easy to hide almost anywhere. If you leave this out on the desk people may figure out what this is, but it's so easy to stash anywhere you can just slip it away if you have prying eyes in the vicinity.

Overall, I can only recommend this design for beginners. The soft material and small size are good for those that don't know their own body well or for those whose partners tend to get too 'enthusiastic' and are worried about bruising, but most people will find it mostly frustrating.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This is where the toy really falls flat. Those who read my reviews know that I am very sensitive to vibrations and often have a problem of having toys be too strong, but this one is too weak even for myself. The bullet itself is moderately powerful, but the thick silicone of the sleeve dampens it's power. At the most I would rate this a low 2 vrooms, and 1 bee. I feel like the vibrations are absorbed by my fingers and the silicone, leaving little left for the rest of me.

The toy itself is very easy to use and intuitive. the bullet is controlled by one button that is found on the base of the body, in the finger hole. Initially I could see the button being easy to accidentally push while using it, but I haven't had this problem once. It only has one setting, and then you press the button again to power it off.

I have used both the bullet and the entire shindig in the shower, as well as submerged both ways, and have never found any water in the battery compartment. Is it very waterproof and, if it's your sort of toy, great for bath time fun.

Personally, I don't feel like this would be able to get anyone off alone. I would recommend it if you're looking for something to tease or for light stimulation while you use another toy. If you're very sensitive, I can see this being a good buy, but for the average person this may be a disappointment.

Care and Maintenance

Silicone and plastic are wonderful materials for toys, and I really love seeing toys in this price range that use them. After removing the bullet, the silicone sleeve can be boiled to completely sanitize it. You should do this every time you want to switch partners or orifices. Both the plastic bullet and the silicone sleeve can be disinfected with a 10% bleach solution.

For basic cleaning, I use an antibacterial toy cleaner and water, but soap and water or toy wipes also are fine. This doesn't collect lint much at all (I lost it under my bed for a while and it was still clean) so if you store it in a clean place you really only need to wash it after every use.

You should not let silicone come in contact with other silicone because the two pieces can warp eachother. For similar reasons you should not use silicone lube with silicone toys. I keep this in a cool, dark place in it's own container.

Packaging

While the packaging on this one is classy, it is in no way resealable. I sold kitchen accessories and knives for a while and it has what we referred to as "Walmart packaging." It is sealed and crimped at the edges and is difficult and slippery to cut open. You may be able to get more than one use out of it if you use a razor to carefully pry open the package, but overall it's pretty minimal.

It has black and the color of the toy you chose. It has no obscene sayings or images on the package, but it is pretty upfront about what this toy is. The back slip opens up into an instruction manual, which makes this toy seem much more promising than it really is.

I wouldn't hesitate to wrap this and give it as a gift, but it's pretty shoddy as a storage option.

Personal comments

The small bullet does run on watch batteries, but it comes with three sets of them. I really like this because I feel like it shows that the company expects this toy to last AT LEAST through three sets of batteries, which is good for something in this price range.

Experience

I really wanted to like this toy, I really did. I was hoping that this would be a great toy for me to recommend to beginners and couples looking for a place to start, or maybe even to sensitive advanced users. Unfortunately, if wishes and buts were clusters of nuts, we'd all have a bowl of granola.

I really wish that this had had more power. I hate to give a low rating to a neon blue, safe material, compact toy with extra batteries, but I just can't give a high rating to something I could barely feel. I am giving this toy 3 stars because it doesn't do what it is intended to do; stimulate me.
