Opus Won't Let You Down!

Opus is one beautiful girl that also makes beautiful music. She is flexible and plush, which makes her a non-intimidating playmate. She also packs a punch that advanced users will enjoy. She is powerful, and her bulbs provide interesting texture to those looking for something a bit different. All in all, she's a great toy to have in your toy box.

Use

Evolved Novelties Symphony Opus vibrator is a great choice for both beginners and advanced users. She is flexible and plush, so beginners will not be intimidated.

The shape, and flexibility of Opus make her excellent for G-spot stimulation. You can really angle her just how you need her. Opus is also good for thrusting, although it can be difficult to get a good hold on her if she gets too slippery. However, it's worth the effort. The bumpy texture of Opus makes for an interesting sensation.

Now, my favorite use for Opus? Clitoral stimulation. She is excellent for this, due to the fact that the (strong) bullet is located in the very tip and is easy to get a comfortable grip on her. The angled tip allows the user to get pinpoint stimulation.

Those of you who are seeking an anal toy? I'd suggest that you look elsewhere. Opus does not have a base, and it is therefore unsuitable for anal usage. This does not mean that you can't use Opus to stimulate your bottom. You can rub, and you can tease. Just don't insert her anally.

Material / Texture

Opus is made out of medical grade TPR. This material rates as a 7 on the safety scale, and it is both latex and phthalate free. The TPR material makes her extremely flexible. In fact, I can pretty much bend her in half. It is important to note that the area with the bullet and the battery compartment, are not flexible at all.

Along with being flexible, Opus has a nice texture to her. The tip and the bullet area of Opus are smooth, whereas the rest of her body has little bumps that go around the lower portion of the toy. Typically, I do not enjoy toys with bumps, as I find them uncomfortable. The bumps are raised on Opus, but they are almost plush due to the soft material. The plush nature of the toy means that I get to enjoy the texture.

Those of you with sensitive noses will want to be aware that Opus does have that distinct rubbery smell that some TPR toys have in the beginning. It does, however, fade over time. I have washed Opus four times, and I am now only able to smell her if I put her directly under my nose. Despite her strong scent, Opus appears to be tasteless.

You should also be aware that Opus is a lint magnet, like most TPR toys are. She will quickly pick up any bit of dust, hair, and dirt. You certainly don't want to play with that nasty stuff. So, wash her before and after each use.

Design / Shape / Size

This vibrator's design is pretty basic, but it is also very enjoyable.
Opus is made up of graduated bulbs, with the largest bulb being at the bottom. The largest bulb is 5 1/2" in circumference. The second bulb (working up from the bottom) is just over 5" in circumference. Finally, the third bulb is just under 5" in circumference. After the bulbs, Opus has an area of smoothness, which is where the bullet is located. The bullet is clearly visible through Opus' material, and it is about 1 1/2" in length. Going further upward, we have the angled head of the toy. The head is great, as it enables one to achieve pinpoint stimulation on their clitoris. It also can be used to better stimulate their G-spot if using the toy internally.

Length wise, Opus is about 8 1/10" total length. Only 6" of that is insertable. For me, this is plenty big enough. For those concerned about weight, you should know that Opus is a fairly light toy. It weighs only 0.3 pounds. This makes her very easy to hold.
Opus is not discreet. Looking at her, it's clear that she is a vibrator. You don't really want to leave her out in the open if you want discretion. Don't worry though, Opus is fairly easy to hide, as she is not a huge toy.

Functions / Performance / Controls

To use this toy, you will need two AA batteries. The battery compartment is easy to use. It's just a simple twist off top. Once the top is off, hold the toy upside down to allow the battery compartment to fall into the palm of your hand. The battery compartment is clearly marked, so it's easy to know which way the batteries go. Now, you're going to take the battery compartment and insert it back into the toy. Then simply twist on the battery cover, and you're good to go.

The controls of this toy are minimal and simple. In fact, there is only one button. Press the button on the battery compartment to turn the toy on and to increase speeds. There are a few problems that I have with the controls. One, it's extremely easy to accidentally hit the button. I have done this a few times during play, and it just sort of ruins the mood. The button being so easy to hit also means that the toy could easily turn on while not in use if you leave the batteries in it. My second problem is that there is no quick off button. Now, it doesn't take long to cycle through the vibration levels and get to the off setting. When you're interrupted, every second seems to matter. An easy off button would be nice to have.

Moving on, the vibrations can be felt strongest at the tip of the toy. That is where the bullet is located. The vibrations do travel a bit throughout the toy, but I can't really feel them directly at the base. This is the case even with the toy on the highest setting.

Now, about the vibrations themselves? They're pretty nice but simple. The three settings are all steady vibrations. There are no patterns. I would describe the vibrations as being more rumbly than anything else. The first vibration level starts out at a low three, and it is very quiet. The third vibration level is more like a high four, and it is still fairly quiet. While all the vibration levels are somewhat quiet, you can definitely hear this toy through the covers.

This toy is waterproof, and it functions really well in the water. I have fully submerged it multiple times, and it continues to work well.

Care and Maintenance

Caring for Opus is fairly easy. You'll want to wash Opus with warm water and a toy cleaner or mild soap. Please remember that TPR is slightly porous, so you'll need to use a condom if you intend to share this toy. This is because the material cannot be disinfected.

If you decide that you need to use a lubricant with Opus (and I did), you'll be happy to know that you can use silicone or water based lubricants. I, personally, chose to use water based lube. It is just my preference.

In regards to storing, I store Opus in the box that she came in. You could easily store her in other ways. I would recommend putting her in a pouch, or a plastic bag, if you don't use the tin. This is because lint is extremely attracted to her. Regardless of how you store her, it's a good idea to give her a quick rinse before you use her. I would also recommend removing the battery compartment before storing her.

Packaging

Opus came packaged in a red tin box. This packaging is nice, but it's not discreet. The front of the tin has a window that you can see the toy through. The back of the tin lists some basic information about the toy.
The tin is held closed by two little latches. The latches are nice, but over time I have noticed that they are wearing away at the paint on the tin. After multiple times of opening and closing the latches, I am now able to see a bit of silver showing through the red on the top of tin. This is disappointing, but no big deal. The inside of the tin has a nice foam insert, which is shaped to hold the toy securely in place.
Follow-up commentary
I still like this toy, but it's not one that I use often. I just have other toys that I like a bit better. Still, when I do use it, it feels amazing!
