OUCH! In my Kissa...
The Kissa was a painful hit to my kissa'. I have only managed to insert it vaginally once after a handful of attempts. With barely there vibrations, I could not even find much pleasure externally. This toy just was not made for me; while I enjoy texture, close-proximity glass nubs just spell PINCH to me. I would not recommend this toy to my friends.Published: April 5, 2011
Pros:
Very quiet, glass material
Cons:
Weak vibrations, painful nubs, head shaped to hit pelvic bone, cannot thrust, difficult to clean
My Kissa arrived in a plastic bag, along with a velvety storage pouch. While the plastic bag packaging seemed a bit cheap to me, I found myself delighted at the added bonus of having a nice alternative to my normal toy storage. I quickly tore open the bag and began to indulge in the experience of having a new toy.
There was no unpleasant scent with the Kissa, which is a very positive sign for me. I took the toy into my hands and gave it a once-over, admiring it's intricate beauty. The Kissa is a glass vibrator, which is something completely new for me. It has a somewhat intimidating appearance, but I told myself that looks must be deceiving. I was eagerly anticipating the fun textures this toy had to offer. As a glass vibrator, the Kissa is suitable for stimulating the clitoris, vagina, nipples, testicles, and erogenous zones. It is not suitable for anal penetration as it does not have a flared base. Please save yourself the possibility of an awkward ER visit!
As I ran my hand over the Kissa, I noted that the outside of the toy is clear tempered glass, while the interior is a deep red plastic. Because the Kissa is glass, clean-up is in theory easy. By using a toy cleaner, mild soap & water, or even a 10% bleach solution, you should be able to clean it satisfactorily. That is, of course, in theory. I found out later how difficult all those nubs and ridges were to clean. An OCD nightmare, I tell you.
Because the Kissa was my first glass toy, I was very nervous that I would drop and shatter it to pieces. I am pretty clumsy and I did drop the Kissa twice without having any damage incurred. The Kissa is a sturdy vibrator. Another bonus with glass is that it can be warmed up or chilled for some temperature play.
Getting past the exterior, I set to using this toy. I popped in a convenient 1 AA battery and pressed the easy control button located at the bottom of the vibrator. A near-silent buzzing began. I clicked the control button again, which caused a stop in vibrations as it went to the medium setting. Another click would do the same thing, reaching its "high" steady vibration setting. I was so pleased at how quiet the vibrations were, but there is a definite reason why they are quiet. This vibrator is weak.

Experience
Not phased by the meager vibrations, I dabbed some of my silicone lube onto myself and Kissa. Because of the glass, you can use any type of lubricant you want with this vibrator. This made me a very happy camper because I do love my silicone lube! This toy was pleasant rubbing along my labia and clitoris. The textures for this are stellar. But, the vibrations were just not cutting it for me.
After getting warmed up, I went to try Kissa vaginally. The bulged head of the toy, covered in raised nubs, is about five and a half inches in circumference. The shaft of the toy, encircled with raised swirls, is about four and a half inches in circumference. The total insertable length of Kissa is about five inches. A beginner to glass, I was expecting some difficulty with inserting the toy. I did warm up sufficiently, but when it came to inserting the Kissa I was stopped before I could even get the thicker head portion inside of me. I stopped when I felt a sharp, pinching pain. I put Kissa away after a thorough cleaning; I had gotten too tensed up to continue playing.
I tried Kissa again a few days later, this time trying it in the shower. That was a bonus for me because the Kissa is waterproof. I had the same results: a hard pain that would halt me from inserting the toy at all. Not being one to give up, I decided again the next night. This time my partner decided to intervene and try to help. After teasing externally, my boyfriend attempted to very gently insert Kissa. He even tried slowly twisting it in. We had to stop, and this time I had pinpointed the sensation I felt each time I used Kissa. It felt like a pinching of my skin between the nubs, along with the painful bump into my pelvic bone.
I was very disappointed that I could not insert Kissa, because the vibrations were too weak to do much externally for me. I gave up my attempts with the Kissa for several weeks. One night, inspired by the absence of my boyfriend, I tried it again. I had already started with a high powered bullet, and added Kissa as an afterthought. This time, with a bit of effort and pain, I managed to insert the toy. It was painful if I even tried to thrust gently, so I twisted it around for a fun sensation. I have to mention again how weak the vibrations were. While using my bullet with Kissa, I had trouble even discerning if Kissa was even on. She was, and on her highest setting. What a disappointment!
Overall, the vibrator is made of very safe materials and has a long battery life while using just one AA. The textures were a fun idea, but the girth of the head combined with the pinchy nubs ultimately sabotaged my Kissa experience.

Follow-up commentary
1 month after original review
I have had Kissa for a few months now, and I have yet to have any success with her. I think I am just too nervous now to even attempt with her. I would try to use her externally, but the vibrations are so weak that I feel better off using another one of my toys.
Kissa was a pretty awful toy for me, even though many other people have found such success with her. I need to reiterate that it might work well for someone else, but when it came to my body and Kissa, things were just painful and not at all enjoyable. I am now hesitant to even try another glass toy, for fear that I will hurt myself or hit my pelvic bone again.
I have not yet recycled (or tossed) Kissa, she remains tucked away in her pouch in the corner of my dresser drawer. I just don't think I'll ever use her again.

Glass experience?

This is my first toy, let alone glass toy. What are the advantages and disadvantages of other materials? Did I pick a weird starting place? I do like it, but it didn't rock my world so to speak.

glass is considered a safe material in general and is easy to keep clean

SoSexiQuote: In fact what is your over all thoughts on the product?Hi Im new here ....Personally I wouldnt spend that much for that toy more like $5-$10 with free shipping. I know a site you could score a $68 rabbit for that price -
I have that toy, and it's actually good quality. If you like glass toys, then it's a really nice one. The end has textured nubs that are definitely felt. For me it was too much texture, but some people might enjoy that. I think it's a really nice toy.

So, I noticed that the "Kissa" is a Glass vibrator by EdenFantasys. I was wondering if this is the first in a line of Edenfantasys products?

Thank you for viewing Kissa – sex toy review page!

Great review! Sorry the toy didn't work out for you!
Thanks, I am sorry too. Other people seem to have enjoyed it much more than I did.
I agree. The design was a great idea but OUCH! Thanks for a great review.
@LadyA, I glanced at the toy again tonight and decided it sorta looks like one of those medieval maces... y'know those weapons with the spikes on the end? LOL, keep it away from my vagina!
thanks for the review!

We weren't that impressed with it.
