Pleasure Bird a Flying Flop!

Rabbit vibrator by WHK GmbH

Published: November 17, 2008
extremely useful review
While the design for the Pleasure Bird is quite excellent, I found it to be poorly constructed - after all, half of it stopped working after one use. Made from cheap and unsafe materials that are hard to keep clean. Always use a condom with this toy.
Pros:
Powerful, good multi-stimulation, leads me to some pretty quick orgasms.
Cons:
Cheap design, rotating plastic balls are too hard and uncomfortable, poor material choice.
This toy was definitely designed
I've always been fond of rabbit vibes. I love dual stimulation; combining penetration and external vibration brings me to orgasm much faster and much more powerfully than just one of those options. The Pleasure Bird, while it gave me a few great orgasms, unfortunately fell short of these expectations.

The first thing I noticed, once removing it from it's large and gaudy packaging, was the not-so-subtle smell of plastic. Even after washing the insertable portion of the toy, the scent stayed strong. The toy is made mostly of plastic and soft jelly PVC, which in my opinion has a slick, somewhat unpleasant feel to it. The top is a pretty thick piece of jelly PVC, while the center has hard plastic balls that rotate in six different controllable speeds.

Though I was less eager once I got to see the toy, I was still pretty excited to give it a try. I put a condom on it and then slid it inside myself slowly. Though the Pleasure Bird has several interesting textures to it, including the soft, yielding head, ribbed portions, and the hard plastic rotating balls, it just felt uncomfortable - the plastic balls jut out somewhat painfully into my vaginal walls, and even after trying the toy several times, I still have not managed to get used to them. The vibrating "bird beak", however, felt wonderful on my clit, sending some pretty powerful waves through me. Adjusting the speed and intensity of the rotation and vibration, however, was annoying - the base of the toy is kind of unwieldy, and I had to stop and fiddle around for a minute before finding the right buttons to push to get the desired results.

Despite the slight pain from the balls, the combination of a nice thick toy inside of me along with strong vibrations sent me careening over the edge into a nice, intense orgasm...that made the plastic balls hurt more as my muscles clenched down onto them, leading me to be very sore for a while after using this toy.

The second or third time I went to go use the Pleasure Bird, I noticed something odd...though the lights for the ball rotation were lighting up when I turned them on, they were not moving at all. They had already broken! I fiddled around with the toy, gave it new batteries, but still -- nothing fixed it. I have to admit, I was pretty angry at the toy for breaking so fast, even if it wasn't that great. Further, it also used up four AA batteries faster than any other toy I've ever used, draining them just after a few tries, even though I removed them between most uses.

If you're looking for a good rabbit-style vibrator, I would highly recommend the Wall Bangers Deluxe Rabbit Pearl, another toy I've reviewed and loved. Steer clear of the Pleasure Bird.

Thanks for the warning! I was looking at this because of the many rows of rotating beads, but now I think I'll pass...

I kept considering reviewing this item, but I finally decided against it because it's PVC. I'm glad I passed on it now!
