Pleasure In Pink?

Don’t let the super pink glitter explosion turn you off, because this toy will really turn you on! So if you’re looking for a powerful g-spot toy at a good price, with a little more girth, this could be it. A great price with good vibrations and multifunction settings. G-spot head could be a little more curved, but might work better for people with shallower G-spots. I was pleasantly, pleasurably surprised.

Use

Hot Pinks G-spot is a multi-speed, multi-function, waterproof jelly vibrator intended for G-spot stimulation. It has escalating and pulsating features and amazingly strong vibrations. It is a battery-operated vibe and takes only two AA batteries. It’s mildly textured at the base for added sensation. Hot Pinks is affordable without being weak. A great toy for a low budget – I would recommend to anyone new to G-spot exploration, IF this toy was not made of jelly.

Be mindful that this is a toy with more girth. If you are new to penetration or have only experimented with skinnier toys, this could be uncomfortable or even painful for you.

Material / Texture

Hot Pinks is made of a jelly material. Jelly ranks at about a two on material safety, so it is one of the least safe materials to have for a toy. It’s very porous and cannot be sterilized in boiling water like silicone can. You should always wear a condom over certain toys like jellies. This will help keep it and you clean. Especially a good idea if you share this toy. But I would NOT recommend sharing this toy as it cannot be sanitized!

It is a very smooth toy with some texture towards the base of the shaft. The texture has a nice feeling on the opening of the vagina while in use, but is not very prominent. The texture almost looks like seaweed reaching up from the base. A nice little added feature.

When I first opened it up it felt a little greasy. I’ve felt this on jelly toys before - and after some research I think I have found out why. As you can see in the picture in the 'packaging' section of this review, on the front container on Hot Pinks package it says in a small bubble 'phthalates free'. This does not necessarily mean the product is 100% free of this chemical. It may mean the amount of phthalates in the product is under a certain amount; but still present. This greasy feeling is caused by phthalates and other chemicals 'leeching' out of the product. Some greasiness may also be added by the manufacturer to cover up the smell of phthalates.

Have you ever opened up a jelly toy and your room has smelled something heinous for a few days or hours? That is phthalates. Even with washing your toy may still stink.

If you are pregnant, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Even with a condom phthalates and other chemicals from jelly material can still get through. These materials may cause birth defects, or harm your fetus. If you are pregnant I would recommend not using ANY toy that is not a 10 on the safety scale. Safe choices would be pure silicone, glass, or stainless steel.

Design / Shape / Size

Obviously it’s a pink toy and it has some sparkles in it. The effect is kind of cute but I do wish I had it in another color. I got this toy not for the looks but to see how well it worked.
It does have some light texture on it, so it’s nice if you like a little of that. But it's also not a bother if you aren't into texture. It’s very pliable and a little squishy, but still firm and holds up fine for penetration.

Pinks is about 8” in total length, with an insertable length of 7”. The circumference of this toy is 5”; I didn’t realize that it was a pretty thick toy until it arrived. I must admit I was a little surprised when I got this in the mail! Not in a bad way of course, though this might not be right for everyone. Make sure you take that into account before buying.

It’s also a pretty light toy, only a half a pound. Jelly toys usually don’t have a lot of heft to them. Its curved head is designed for G-spot penetration. While it does stimulate the G-spot really well, I wish it had more of a curve.

Functions / Performance / Controls

There are two buttons on the bottom of the vibrator: the left to turn it on, the right to circle though the ten modes randomly. There is no order to settings. This is the first toy I have encountered that doesn’t have a semblance of order to its vibrations. It's very unusual, and weird to try to switch settings during use. Some may not find this appealing, for me I don't mind so much.
Whichever setting you turn your Hot Pinks off at will be the same setting to come on when you turn it on again. So if you find you have a favorite mode just shut it off on that setting, and its ready to go for next time. I like that it has variety.

The vibrations include a straight vibration varying in intensity and pulsating vibrations varying in frequency. And vibrations that escalate -- the highest one I can only describe as having a machine gun quality. They go from hardly felt to pretty powerful. This is probably one of the best vibrations you can expect from lower priced toys.

Pinks is not very quiet, but not overly loud. You can hear it through blankets and probably through a closed door. So music or TV noise will help drown it out if you don't want anyone guessing what you’re doing. It does get a little quieter once inserted; the noise is muffled a bit.

The curved head could be more curved to achieve better G-spot stimulation. This might work better if you have a shallower G-spot.

The vibrator can be tricky and messy because there's no real place to hold it while in use.
But all-in-all it was nice function-wise.

Care and Maintenance

To clean this toy, just rinse thoroughly with a very mild antibacterial soap and warm water. A toy cleaner will work best because you should not use any harsh soap on the toy. Just make sure your toy cleaner is safe to use on jelly material.

When storing it's recommended to keep your jelly toy in a cool dark place, I keep mine in a box under my bed.
I wouldn’t let this toy touch other toys, if you keep your pleasure objects in the same place. There’s always the possibility that toy materials might react with each other and do not-so-fun things! Plus jelly is a porous, non-sterilizable material. So there’s a possibility of transferring any bacteria between toys.

Silicone and water based lubes are the only safe lubricants to use with your jelly toys. Jelly toys are also known as Jel-Lee or AquaGel. Oil based lubes will damage your jelly toys so stay far away from them. Another thing to note is when I put waterbased lube on this toy I had to keep re-applying, as it was quickly absorbed by the toy. You might have an easier time with a silicone lubricant rather than water since silicone is much thicker and lasting.

It is inevitable that at some point it will get dirt and lint on it. It's very sticky and will pick up particles of anything you set it on. Unfortunately it's also very hard to pick off, so don’t even try because you'll probably end up creating little holes and divots in the jelly. To get it off you will have to stop and run the jelly part under water till everything comes off. It might help to gently rub your hand up and down the shaft while you rinse it to help it along. Then let air dry. Don't wipe or pat with a towel/thin tissue that pulls apart easily. It will pick up the fibers. And NEVER try to dry it with a hair dryer, it will not hold up to intense heat like that.

Packaging

The Pinks vibrator came in a clear plastic holder. You can clearly see the vibe right away. You’ll also see a piece of cardboard in the plastic behind the toy, with a picture of a scantily clad woman on it. There’s some information on the package, and you’ll find in the back a user manual for the vibe.

It’s pretty easy to open; they didn’t bother to tape the plastic on the sides of the container to ensure that it wouldn’t accidentally open. Nothing special packaging wise. But for the price it is decent.

You probably won’t want to save the package to store your vibe in as it’s not discreet. This vibe will attract lint and unwanted debris so you will want to have something to store it in to keep it nice.

Personal comments

This one was definitely a surprise! For the price I didn’t think I’d find something so powerful. I don’t know if I’d use this toy while submerged in water. It touts that it's waterproof, but I’m not totally convinced. The base where the jelly meets the plastic battery container does not seem completely waterproof. The lip where they meet on mine was a little lifted in one area, not sure if that would cause a problem. And even the screw on top for the battery compartment has me a little wary. But it might have better chances in the shower than fully submerged. Try it out at your own risk.

A nice toy… but made of not so great materials. And that is mainly why I can only give this toy three stars.

Experience

I was very excited to try this toy and it thankfully did not disappoint! Her intense vibrations really got me off. While she was good for externally grinding against, I felt there was too much rubber in the way for it to be great at clitoral stimulation. But for g-spot it works. The motor is closer towards the tip of the toy, which is wonderful for the vibrations.
I did orgasm internally from this toy. It was good; but definitely not earth shattering. I used a clitoral stimulator while using Hot Pinks to get started, and pretty quickly achieved internal orgasm.

I thought this toy was nice, but I have not overlooked the fact that it’s not one of the safest of materials. And after the one time I used it I will probably not be using it again. After I have researched this toys material more I have totally been put off from jelly toys. I’d rather be safe than sorry in this matter! But if you’re still thinking of trying this product anyway then just make sure to keep it clean, don’t share, and always keep a condom over it. It will increase the life of this toy, and your safety. Jelly will degrade over time with use, so keep an eye on it and watch out for any changes or abnormalities.

One small annoying thing was that I had to keep re-applying lube. Granted I did use a waterbased lube. The toy was so smooth and thick that if you clench while thrusting the lube will come right off. I haven’t tried other lubes with it, maybe it’s just the waterbased that’s more apt to do that.

Follow-up commentary
While this was nice, it really just wasn't completely right for me. I couldn't get over the material of this toy. Peace of mind is something I value when getting intimate and I simply didn't have that with this. After looking into all the negative things about jelly I had to get rid of this toy. My toys are branching into higher quality safer items now so I really didn't have a place for this one anymore.

I was also worried this material would melt randomly and destroy the other toys in my toy box. That I really couldn't have happen, so this vibrator and all my other jelly toys were taken out to the trash. I've only kept my safe material toys like silicone, and glass. So it was nice while it lasted, but now my mind is at peace.
