Pleasure spot tickler sex toy review

I took off my shirt and pressed the head against my nipples. Nothing. I liked the warm, buzzing feel of the nubs, but I wasn't getting off by the vibration, which is not a good sign. As the final test, I pushed the button again to the third speed and placed the nubs against my clit. Did fireworks finally bang? Did the Pleasure Spot Tickler prove that not all clitoral stimulators are that bad?

My first impression of the Pleasure Spot Tickler by California Exotic is that it’s cute, discrete, and pretty in hot pink! For some reason, the wide head of this massager, which flaunts three rows of nubs to tickle the clitoris, made me think that it looks like a razor. Even though I loved the color and the smooth, rubbery feel of the jelly material, I wasn’t too sure if the Pleasure Spot Tickler was going to fully stimulate my “pleasure spot.” I suppose it’s because I like to stimulate my clit the old fashioned way; with my fingers, where I can feel the warmth of my beautiful “clitty” building up to immense and wonderful pleasure. Plus, I frequently noticed that many customers who have purchased or reviewed a clitoris massager say that it’s not stimulating or powerful enough to get them off. However, I was eager to try out the Pleasure Spot Tickler and see what all the fuss is about!

When I first pushed the button on the base, I noticed that the vibration was underwhelming, and the noise was very loud. I pressed the nubs against my thumb. It made me giggle because of the tickly sensation, but it didn’t make me think, “Wow, now it’s time to use it on my clit pronto!” The vibration was weak and lackluster.

I pushed the button again to turn up to the second speed. The vibration was the same, but the noise only got louder. I pressed the head against my inner thigh. Again, the vibration gave a tickly sensation, and the nubs grew warm to the touch of my skin, which was nice and pleasant but nothing special.

I took off my shirt and pressed the head against my nipples. Nothing. I liked the warm, buzzing feel of the nubs, but I wasn’t getting off by the vibration, which is not a good sign. As the final test, I pushed the button again to the third speed and placed the nubs against my clit. Did fireworks finally bang? Did the Pleasure Spot Tickler prove that not all clitoral stimulators are that bad? Well, no, not quite. In all honesty, my clit didn’t get any mind-blowing or even minimal pleasure from it. I even varied the pressure on my clit, changed my positions, and tested each of the three speeds again and again. Nothing. After awhile the toy was just increasingly loud, irritating, and pointless. I was disappointed.

I wondered if it was the shape of the Pleasure spot tickler that makes it a dud. The head is slightly curved and wide, which is fine for me since I have a mighty large clitoris, but for the girl with the average sized “pleasure spot,” it might seem a bit awkward to use and is pretty limited in how you use it. It’s not curved like a tongue, shaped like a slim dildo, or round like a bullet, which means you can’t penetrate yourself with it. To make up for what it’s lacking, the Pleasure Spot Tickler is waterproof and is small enough (at 5”) to be tucked into your purse so you can use it outside of the bedroom.

Now that I’ve tried my first clitoral massager, I can say that it’s not what it’s cracked up to be. I can’t really see how anybody could get off with this toy. For what it’s worth, I don’t see why you would need a toy that only stimulates the clitoris when you could use your favorite vibe or dildo to please all your pleasure spots more effectively. I probably won’t be using this toy again. Instead, I will just stick to my good old fashioned vibrating dildo or my handy-dandy fingers to do the job just right.

The only thing that this dud is good for is turning it into a semi-butterfly gag, and a vibrating one at that!

Too bad, the ticklers look promising.  Thanks for an honest review!

I get the "razor" association too. I'm not sure I want anything that reminds me of a razor near my clit, especially if it doesn't do much.
