The Silk Touch Egg Vibe is a great toy to add to your collection. This egg is extraordinarily powerful, almost too powerful. The 3 AAA battery design gives the vibrator a strength that you can feel from your head to your toe. Once you turn it on, you had better be ready. You will be soaring in no time.
The design is nice and the color is great. We have the Sea Foam colored one. The velvety texture feels great and is easy to clean and care for. It slides gently and smoothly where ever you need it to go. The ribs add a bit of flair that make this more than just your standard egg.
The controls are straight forward and easy to use. The speed adjustment seems to adjust from really fast to take-the-top-of-your-head-off. With fresh batteries it is amazingly strong. I really wish it would dial down a bit more for a moderate take-off speed. The large shiny pulsation button works great and has several interesting patterns to select from. It is easy to punch and doesn't require that you become distracted from what you are doing.
The flexible cord is a bit awkward for my taste. If you set the control down or if it slips out of your hand it will go racing across the bed as the “spring” recoils. This really isn't an issue if you are a set-it-and-forget-it kind of girl, but if you like to stay “in control” it is a bit inconvenient. The cord also seems to be a weak point in the design. My husband and I used this vibe pretty regularly. However, after about a year it developed a short in the cord and became somewhat unreliable.
Overall this toy is both fun and efficient. It is a step-up from the basic egg without being too involved or complicated. Its simplicity and versatility make it a welcome addition to any adult toy box.

However, it also works great as an accompaniment piece that feels great both for him and her. Just place it where it needs to go and proceed as you would normally. Guys, be prepared. This toy is so powerful that she may need to stop and catch her breath a few times.

You said it's easy to care for and clean but didn't give any cleaning advice. How do you clean it?
Although the egg is velvety to the touch it is actually a very durable plastic material. Don't ask me about the science behind it but it feels very soft and yet this is due to the texture of the plastic. You can use any of the number of toy cleaners on the market, or just some good antibacterial soap and warm water will do the trick.

The colour on this is really neat and I think the phone-style cord would come in very handy. I know cords are often too short.

How many speeds does it have??

You control the speed with a wheel-type dial just below the center pulse button. It seems to adjust to an infinite number of speeds within the range of the dial. The only problem I discovered was that it didn't seem to dial down to as slow as I would have liked. Hope this helps.
