This toy was definitely designed
I bought this
set of dilators because I was having painful intercourse. Some sources while researching online seemed to point to the fact that I should try a dilator.
The
California Exotic dilator set is nice, especially for the affordable price. Searching online I found several dilator sets that were double the price. By the pictures they seemed fairly identical in shape to the purple dilator set. I purchased this set and began using them starting with the smallest size.
The dilators are nice and smooth, easy to insert with nothing to irritate sensitive skin. The vibration is a nice touch, and makes the dilator feel more like a toy instead of a clinical device. It also helps to keep aroused while you keep the dilator inserted. I used my dilator with a water-based lubricant that made it more pleasurable to use.
The interlocking design makes the set easy to store, keeping them all in one area. The pretty purple dilators are easy to clean. The kit comes with a thin mesh bag to keep the dilators in, but I found it flimsy. Personally I would keep them in my nightstand drawer instead. Reuse the flimsy mesh bag to gift-wrap some candles for a friend.
I did not use the nubby plastic cover. It looked uncomfortable. Being someone who has had painful intercourse, I didn’t find it appealing. The squishy silicone felt sticky to me. I believe it would have been better to simply leave out this item from the kit.
A month after I bought this set, I found out that my painful intercourse was actually from a condition called
vulvodynia. This means that the set isn’t going to help me as much as other people, but even with the condition I found these dilators comfortable to use. They could easily be used as toy with differing sizes.
That cover does seem kind of antagonistic to the whole process... if I'm not mistaken, pelvic floor exercises can be good for vulvodynia- you might look into some vaginal balls. I'd recommend these.
