Private squirmy - rabbit vibrator by Doc Johnson - review by Lucy

On tearing open the packaging of this vibrator, two things struck me immediately. The first was the smell. The Private Squirmy Rabbit Vibrator has an absolutely vile smell, which I immediately found off-putting. I know certain materials have odd odours, but this really hit me as soon as the plastic packaging was open.

The second was the design of the thing. At a first glance, I suspected it wasn't going to "float my boat." It is quite short but has a fair amount of girth. Also the bunny ears are overly flexible; I doubted it would create enough pressure to be arousing.

So, not a good start. And that was before I put the batteries (3 x AA) in. As with many rabbit vibrators, this has a control for shaft rotation as well as the vibrating ears.

Onto the test drive. Trying to forget my initial impressions, I tried it out. And I most definitely found it lacking. The girth made it a little uncomfortable so it needed plenty of lube. Once in position, it still wasn't right. Because the shaft is so short, the rabbit ears were halfway up my stomach! After some manoeuvring, I switched the Private Squirmy on. As I suspected, because of the pliable nature of the bunny ears, I could barely feel any vibrations, even on maximum. It was more of a tickle. There's no way this could get me off.

Another negative point is the battery pack being of the sliding variety - i.e. the battery cover often slips off when you're trying to use the vibrator, which can obviously be a big distraction when you need it the least!

Trying to remain objective - I do have some positive remarks. The hearts on the side of the control panel are a nice touch, and it's not overly noisy.
