Black magic super bullet - bullet discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by unfulfilled

Use: This Doc Johnson Black Magic Super Bullet is useful for women who like rumbly-type vibrations. It is used to stimulate the clit as well as any other erogenous zone. It may be too girthy for beginners to insert, but those who enjoy a little girth can get the benefit of vaginal stimulation as well. This is the first bullet that I have come across that allows for internal stimulation. My husband's favorite use of this bullet is as a massager. He has pinched nerves in his lower back and this bullet has enough power if you push real hard that it doubles as a massager. He enjoys me using it on his neck and lower back, and had me massage him for quite awhile. He made the comment that he ought to take it to work with him and keep in his office for when he gets sore.

Material/Texture: The bullet is soft, velvety, and perfect for gripping. It is made out of ABS plastic, but it does not feel like plastic at all. It is very smooth and soft with a very firm exterior. It is an eight on Eden's safety scale and is phthalate and latex free. I find the black color of the bullet to be very attractive, sleek, and classy.

Design/Shape/Size: This is the largest bullet that I have ever had. I'm used to smaller bullets so I was definitely surprised by the size when this came in. It has an attachable pull cord on the bottom of the bullet, which is a nice added feature for easier retrieval from insertion. I'm only using the bullet for clitoral stimulation so I find the cord just gets in the way, but it is easy to remove if you desire to do so. My husband said the wire reminded him of the cord on a Wii remote. Although this bullet is quite large, it still fits comfortably in the palm of my hand.


The bullet is discrete enough for travel and easily portable without the hassle of cords. I have slipped mine in my small purse and found it to be perfect. It is approximately the same size as a Wii remote as well about 5 ½” long by 1 ¼” wide and 5 ¼ girth. It is relatively light as well. My husband said with the size it could double as a small billy club if I carried it in my purse.

Controls/Functions/Performance: It has one easy to use push button control which is located on the bottom of the bullet. It has three speeds: low, medium, and high. Press the button one time and the bullet immediately turns on and automatically defaults to the lowest setting. By pressing the button again it goes to the middle setting, and press again for the highest. To turn it off, just press the button one more time after the highest setting. I found it easy to cycle through the speeds without any difficulty.

The vibrations are rumbly-type vibrations that can be felt throughout the toy and is not concentrated at the head of the bullet. It does not leave your hand numb when holding it and does not cause the itchy feeling you get sometimes with other vibrators.

The bullet requires three AA batteries that are not included. The batteries are located at the bottom of the bullet underneath a screw off cap. The compartment has an o-ring to keep water out when cleaning or using in water. The battery compartment slides out so it is easy to insert the batteries and has an arrow pointing the direction that the compartment is supposed to fit back in.

It is noisy on the highest setting but I do not find it distracting.

Care/Maintenance: The bullet is completely waterproof so it's easy to clean with soap and water or your favorite toy cleaner. It is also compatible with any lubricant.

Packaging: The bullet came in a see-through plastic package with gorgeous dark purple color with a pinkish-purple design around it. You can see the bullet through the plastic so it is most definitely not discrete. The front cover shows the product name, that it is waterproof, has multiple speeds, has a velvety touch, and that it is phthalates free. The sides just show the name of the product. It doesn't come with any extra pamphlets or instructions.


Storage: The bullet did not come with any extra storage, but you can keep it in the plastic it came in, store in a storage box, or leave it in your drawer. If you do not have much space I would recommend keeping in your storage box or drawer because the plastic container is bulky.

My husband and I are both in love with this product, but for different reasons. I love the powerful vibrations this bullet produces for clitoral stimulation and he loves the power for massage. We did try this product while having sex with him on top and me holding it on my clit, but I found I enjoyed it best as part of warm-up.

This has been confiscated by my husband strictly for massages. He is not a fan of toys at all for their sexual purposes, but he sure enjoys the power this bullet produces to help alleviate his back pain. Now that I have been at Eden for quite some time, I can honestly say this is probably one of the strongest bullets that I have come across. It is by far the biggest in my toy collection that is for sure. If Eden had a section for we still love it, then that would be the rating my husband would give this bullet. He would consider it to be magic indeed, and worthy in anyone's toy box.
