Vibrating bunny performer - rabbit vibrator by NMC Ltd - review by Hannah Savage

One of my very first vibrators was a rabbit-style vibe that had every option available except for flashing lights. The head spun and thrusted, the beads rotated and swirled, the wiggly, jelly ears of the butterfly were eager to please. Despite all of this, I hated the thing! It was too long, too textured, too much! So I leapt at the opportunity to try out this shorter, simpler, sleeker option.

The Vibrating Bunny is a pretty traditional rabbit-style vibe, except for the fact that it has an external wired "jumbo" controller. The rabbit clitoral attachment provides external vibration while the beads and shaft rotate to stimulate the vaginal opening and g-spot. The plastic controller, powered by three C batteries, has two sliding buttons that determine the level of vibration and rotation.

The body of this toy is made of PVC, a moderately porous material. Due to the designs on the shaft, and the beads at the base, there is texture when you touch the toy with your hands, it cannot be felt during use. The head is quite defined, but the material is pretty squishy so I didn't experience any discomfort with that.

I wholly expected to open the package to a very strong plastic smell, but that was not the case. After a good wash, you can basically only smell this toy if you are intentionally trying to. It has no taste, but is slightly sticky to the touch, so water-based lube is recommended.

I initially leapt at this product because of its smaller overall size. Because the buttons are on the controller, there is no large handle at the base of the toy, and the insertable area is relatively small both in length and width from other rabbit-style vibes that I've seen. So if you don't like toys that jam up against your cervix, or toys that make you feel stretched out, this would be a good choice for you, whether you are advanced or a beginner. It still is in no way discreet, so I wouldn't take it on a trip unless you wouldn't mind being part of a random baggage search.

When I ordered this product I was unaware that there is, in fact, a smiling face on the bottom of the head of the toy, and seems to look very excited at the idea of being inside of you. The design is formed by raised areas along the shaft and handle of the toy--which can't be felt during use--otherwise it is completely smooth. It appears to have earrings and a necklace, which reminds me of a Grandma, so that kind of weirds me out.

There are two sliding control buttons, one of which adjusts the vibration, while the other determines the rate at which the head and beads will rotate. The rotation of the beads and the head are not separately controlled, so you have to have both on or both off. That wasn't much of a problem for me, however, because the head of my toy didn't move. At all. I didn't even know it was supposed to move until I read the box after using it. So I went back to make sure I didn't miss something, turned the rotation up to full blast, and although there was slight movement of the head (maybe 1/8" in each direction), it was nowhere near being noticeable during use.

The beads are small, plastic beads that you would find on a mardi gras necklace. Although they don't jam up, I have found that a couple beads will pop up into the shaft of the toy (which you can temporarily fix by pushing them back down) and this will throw off the rotation of the others. I really thought that there would be a lot more sensation from the beads, but I could only barely feel them during use. They do not stand up to clenching or even a moderate amount of pressure, and the motor will whine in protest.

Attached to the shaft is a rabbit-shaped stimulator over a rather large and powerful bullet. These vibrations are more buzzy rather than thuddy, and are extremely loud and even at the lowest setting--loud enough to hear beneath covers through a closed door. I haven't used this at any setting higher than the very first, because it's just too much for me. The ears on the rabbit are unlike many others that I have seen, since they are attached together and not separate. Because of this, there is more of a pin-point vibration on the clitoris, and combined with the extreme buzzy levels of the bullet, it can be pretty intense. I've taken the liberation of cutting the membrane between the ears for less of a pin-point sensation and I enjoy it a lot more, but it is all personal preference.

I store this toy in the plastic box that it came in, to prevent a lot of hair/lint from sticking to it, since the material is slightly tacky. Care must be taken when cleaning this toy using running water. There is a fairly large hole at the base where the wire is attached, so be careful that water doesn't get in there as I'm sure it would cause problems. Some silicone lubes may be compatible with PVC/Jelly Rubber but I prefer to be safe and use water-based lube to prevent the toy from degrading.

I was somewhat disappointed that the sensation received from the beads was so minimal, and that the head did not move. I had to go out and buy C size batteries solely for this toy, so I know that they were fresh. Maybe my toy was flawed, I'm not sure.

Because the toy is comparably inexpensive, I think this is still a good toy for those that are trying to see if they enjoy rabbit-style vibes. If you decide you like them, at that point you can upgrade to something made of silicone or with different features.
