For a little battery operated toy, this vibe has quite the kick to it, but it's not overly loud. One can say that a downside is it has one speed (GO!) and that is it. It has left me numb on occasion. Its shape and size make for easy and discreet use and easy hiding if you happen to live with others who do not need to know your personal business.

The noise it makes is noticeable in the same room but you can't casually hear it behind a closed door. It twists to turn on and off and you twist to reveal the battery compartment. It does take double A batteries, but this vibe doesn't drain batteries like some toys I have had. I have only had to replace them on occasion. The connector switch that turns on the vibe is a piece of metal that may or may not have to be bent into place. The first few times, the vibe would shut off at random when I shifted my grip on it. After bending the metal connector slightly, the toy then worked with no problem.

There are different covers for the head of this toy, but to be honest, I can never feel the difference when I am using it myself. I tried them all, shrugged and put the rounded end back on and left the rest to float around in my toy box. It is made of plastic, so there are no concerns with the material used to make the toy or cleaning up afterwards

There isn't much more to say than this toy gets the job done. I am most satisfied (hmm, bad pun, sorry) with this toy and would definitely suggest it to any ladies or couples needing an extra jump or needing something more substantial than a bullet vibe.
