As I've mentioned before I love glass toys. They are so versatile and easy to keep sanitary. They are usually the prettiest and most unique of toys despite the obvious problems of keeping them from falling on hard surfaces. It makes me glad to see companies like Doc Johnson making quality glass toys that aren't way expensive.

The Reflections Joy Vibrator is a beautiful piece of glass. It is a glass sleeve over a lovely teal vibrator. The glass is thick and provides some heft (6.5 oz) to this toy. The vibrator is 6 inches total in length with 5 inches insertable. It is torpedo shaped and 4 3/4 inches in circumference at the widest point, this is not a tiny glass probe! One of the most unique features of this vibrator are the 18 cobalt blue nubs spaced evenly around the head. They are a lovely shade and are very firmly attached to the glass sleeve. They create a "nose" where the vibrations are slightly more concentrated at the tip of the vibe and then form three rings as the head of the vibe increases in size. They are easily felt and add a dimension to this toy that elevated it beyond the usual glass probe. It is compatible with all types of lube.

The Joy is a three speed vibrator that works off a push button in the handle. The vibrations aren't stunning, they are on the gentle side rather than the OMG jackhammer variety. The lowest speed is teasing and barely there, the middle speed is clearly felt but not earth shaking and the highest speed is sufficient to lead to clitoral orgasm but it won't take you there like a speeding train, on the other hand it also won't leave your clit stunned and numb.

This is a glass toy so clean up is easy. Hot water and soap followed by a spritz with toy cleaner is my choice. The toy is waterproof and works well in the shower and the bath. In the bathtub it doesn't sound like you are using a power tool and even in my busy household no one was able to hear it on high outside the bathroom. It won't wake a sleeping baby, even from two feet away from the crib. (My computer is in the baby's room and I write my reviews as he sleeps)

The Joy comes packaged in a heavy duty plastic box with lovely art work on it. The vibrator itself is situated in a molded plastic tray and is visible through the box. The way it's showcased makes the toy appear very feminine and classy. The toy could definitely be stored in the box safely, though it does have the word vibrator prominently written on the box. The packaging isn't as minimalistic as it could be but it isn't as bad as some products.

The packaging has listed on it the fact that this toy is non-porous, phthalates free, hypo-allergenic, and latex free. It is made from food grade materials as well. There is a warning not to use the vibrator on broken or swollen skin. There is also an advisory warning to close the cap tightly on the battery compartment.

This isn't a toy I would recommend as an anal probe. It doesn't have a flared base and could fairly easily become it's own magic act...the amazing disappearing vibrator!

I loved the look of this toy right from the start. It is simply beautiful! I was a bit disappointed by the strength of the vibrations but since I have been retraining my body to accept less intense stimulation it fits right in. I teased my clit for a while experimenting with the different speeds before taking the plunge. The toy slid in easily and when I tightened my muscles around it, I fell in love! It was amazing, the more I squeezed the better it felt bumping up against my "G" spot! The nubs were easily felt and feeling them as I gently thrust the toy in and out made my head spin. For texture lovers this toy is perfect! I was actually lightheaded and lay there kinda stunned at the power of the orgasm this baby helped me to achieve.

Still LOVE this little blue piece of art! I was worried that the colors would fade or something equally horrible would happen to it but it still looks as pretty as it did the day I unwrapped it. The vibrations continue to please with no loss of speed or intensity as long as the batteries are kept fresh! I would like to warn the potential user that this is a very rigid and girthy toy so when using it with a partner you might want to be sure you are clearly communicating to avoid injury. An ill timed thrust can cause some bruising of some tender tissues! Unless you like that sort of thing...
