Handy massager - pocket rocket by WHK GmbH - review by markeagleone

This little handy toy is made by WHK GmbH in Germany. It is one of the most useful toys I have found on this site to date. Yes, it's a stimulator, for such areas as the clitoris and nipples, but it is much more of an all over body massager.

This is one toy that I recommend everyone to have. It's excellent for working out those stubborn, stressed muscles. It can make the work day a bit easier to cope with and ends the day in total relaxation.

With four different massage heads, everyone should find one that suits their needs. It can be used anytime your body needs that extra bit of relaxing vibration, from sore muscles, tension headache, to playful stimulation of those special spots.

This toy is made out of plastic. It is Hypo-allergenic, latex and phthalate free. There is no smell to it. It comes with an animal design on the base. It comes with four unique heads, for stimulating various parts of the body.

This massager has functions for everyone, male and female, advanced users and beginners. In the hustle and bustle of today's world, it should be in every household. It goes so much further than just a sexual experience, but also gives a comforting experience at any time, any place.

The base and heads are plastic, therefore, are completely rigid. I will discuss the various heads in the design section.

OK, I'll do the base first. The base consists of three parts. First, the battery case and on/off control. This part is 11/16 inch in diameter and is 1 3/8 inches long. The last 1/2 inch has ridges for added finger grip. This part fits into the main body of the massager. The main body is 13/16 inch in diameter, stepping up to 1 inch in diameter at the top. It is completely smooth in texture, but for one step, 3/4 inch away from the control connection. Finally, there is the attachment spot for the individual heads. It is 13/16 inch in diameter, slightly tapered and has slight ridges in it to make the attachment to the individual heads, secure.

Now, to the heads. Each head is 15/16 inch in diameter. The first head is rounded and completely smooth and is 3/4 inch in length. The second is flat, with five round knobs protruding 1/16 inch from the head and is 5/8 inch in height. The third is again flat, with twelve, 1/8 inch long pointed spikes out of the head and is 11/16 inch in height. The last is three rings of spikes, with the tallest spike in the center and is 3/4 inch in length. The tallest spike is 1/16 inch long and they get progressively smaller out to the last ring. The first ring has six spikes, the second has twelve, and the third has twenty-four.

The entire length of the massager, with head attached is about 4 1/16 inches long. It is quite small and easy to travel with. It can be put in a purse or pocket. It truly is a product for everyone!

This particular massager has only one vibration. The control is on/off and is made by turning the battery cover portion of the base. The vibrations aren't earth shattering, but they do get the job done. For the most part, they are located near the top, where the individual heads attach. They can, however, be felt throughout the base due to the fact that the base is for the most part, a solid plastic shell.

This unit is also waterproof. There is an o-ring located on the battery cover/control base. Be aware that turning the base too far may allow water to enter. The off selector and the open are extremely close together. There is no real solid stop point between the two. It would be better to opt to shutting off the massager when not in the presence of water.

There is hardly any noise from this little massager. It is a bit more than the cellphone buzz, but not much more. It could not be heard through a door, but would be audible under a blanket. Music, television, or running water drowned it out perfectly.

Care and maintenance is simple. It can be used with any type of lube. Simple soap and water, or a toy cleaner, work well on cleaning. Alcohol can also be used for a more thorough cleaning.

Be mindful that the o-ring is intact and in well order before using in water. It also requires one AA battery. I always recommend having a spare on hand. Remember to remove the battery, if you store for any length of time.

This toy has no real storage concerns. It can be store in its original package, a drawer, toybox, or even your purse. It will not react on other toys, but other toys could react with it(such as melting, color transfer, etc).

One last comment on care. When you install the different heads, rotate them until they seat. Apply enough pressure so that they will not come loose. Do not apply too much pressure as they are a tapered fit, and you may have to pry them off.

The packaging is simple. It is a molded plastic case that hinges on the bottom. It has spots for the base and each of the heads. On the front is a blonde in a bikini. It says it's a handy massager and is waterproof, quiet, compact, powerful and has four massage heads.

The back shows that it comes in six different colors. It shows how the battery is installed and, unique on its own, gives a picture of the human foot with pressure point areas and what they affect. It also gives four different drawings on the use of this massager.

The box is a perfect storage place for this toy. It has all the molded areas for the individual heads and makes it easy to recognize when one is out.

This was a purchase by my wife. Can you say, massage time! I, myself, have found great use for this little guy. It helps with head aches and sore muscles. It also has the chart used by the Chinese for pressure points, which are reputed to heal certain ailments.

This toy may not be the top gun in the collection of clitoral stimulators, but its wide variety of uses puts this one high on the list of "have to own". For the price, it's definitely worth having and keeping handy for use at anytime.

The only drawback is that which I mentioned earlier, the off function to battery cover opening. It really isn't bad if you keep in mind to operate the controls outside of water. This one will more than get its fair share of use.

I, myself, enjoyed the more spiked ones. During a massage, they seemed to work everything out and also gave me a relaxed feeling. I guess it's a matter of preference. My wife didn't like those heads.

My original thoughts behind buying this massager was to add some variety to our sensual massages. I looked at vibrating pocket rocket for a long time, before deciding that it wouldn't hurt for the price. The attachments added to its appeal in my decision.

This massager was surprisingly comfortable to hold in my hand. It is about the same size as my cell phone. I began my adventure with trying each attachment "head" and turning it on. The vibration of this massager was not overwhelming, but some of the attachments did look intimidating. I had no problems trying the smooth cap looking attachment, nor the one with the five raised knobs. They were quite comfortable to use for clitorial play. When used on the nipples, it also created some memorable sensations.

The two attachment heads with the various "spike" placement, had a completely different outcome. During a massage, I found these to be almost painful. The attachment with the more defined "spikes" being the worst of the two. The attachments are a hard molded plastic, and these two attachments were just to much for me. I am not saying that some people would not enjoy the experience, but I however am not one of them. I did not wince in pain or anything of the sort. I only asked to stop using those two as my husband was in charge of the controls.

What amazed me about this massager is its versatility. I like that it can be used for couples or solo play, on both males and females. The added bonus comes that you can use it for sore muscles, headaches, and just overall body massage. When used for massages, I still preferred that we stay away from the two "spikey" attachments. I enjoyed the five knobbed one the best, especially when pressure was applied steadily.

I would recommend this to anyone, as it can easily be used anyone of any age. I would like to purchase another just for my kids to use. They would really enjoy the "spa day" effect that this massager can provide. It would also fit perfectly in a child's hand.

I wish that the two "spiked" attachments were made less sharp, so that they could have been utilized more. My husband seemed to like the "spikes", as they worked well on his headaches.

The last thing that makes me rejoice in this massager is that I can put the attachments and massager in a snack sized Ziplock. Therefore, letting me take it virtually anywhere. For the price and what the massager accomplishes I can not complain. I think that I may even go so far as buying a few spare to have on hand.
