Tera Patrick's metallic vibe is a traditional, battery-operated vibrator. The speed adjusts as usual with a dial at the bottom. The vibrations are concentrated near the middle of the toy, but are conducted nicely to the tip as well. I've had several like it over the years and they always do what they are supposed to.
