Requires a lot of hands-on action for a hands-free toy

For the price, it's a good way to start the strap-on vibrator journey. Though it takes a while to get in place, it stays there, and the straps aren't irritating. You might have to use your hand for more pressure as you near orgasm, but for the most part, you won't touch it once you set it on.

I've been wanting to try a strap-on vibrator for a while. Sometimes, your hands are busy and you don't want deal with holding a toy. So I picked up the Venus butterfly. The Venus is a solid little toy. The TPR material is good, but condoms are recommended if you want to share the toy (and its awkward shape isn't that great for condoms, so I wouldn't share it without a good wash). The straps are durable and comfortable. There's a bit of a smell to the toy, but nothing undesirable or distracting.

Being a strap-on toy, it's not great for anything spur of the moment (not if you want to use it as a hand-free option). I've heard that the straps are a bit loose if you are very thin, but I'm full figured, so I had no problems with the straps staying in place. The Venus itself is a bit hard to place; the "nose" of the butterfly is supposed to sit on your clitoris, while the "tail" is inside your labia. However, I found it a bit hard to place it just right. Be prepared to fiddle with it to get it settled.

Once I got it on and placed, I was really able to enjoy the Venus. The vibrations have multiple speeds, so you can build up to an orgasm. Plus, with your hands free, you're able to explore your or your partner's body without worrying about the toy moving. The vibrations aren't horribly strong though, even on the highest speed.

Positioning is a big of a challenge though. The butterfly shape limits your range of motion, as your legs will always need to be spread apart. Squeezing your thighs together is uncomfortable because of the toy's rigidity, and it will poke you if your legs get too close to the toy. I also found that I could never get the toy close enough at the pivotal moments. The toy stays in place, yes, but there are times when you want more or less pressure, and that's when you have to use your hands. The increased vibration isn't strong enough to make up for the wanted pressure.

Overall, I would recommend this toy as a warm-up. There's nothing quick about it, but once you get it all set up, you can control how fast it brings you to orgasm. There are times when you might have to use your hands, but only if you want the vibration and more pressure on the nose and tail tips.

My experiences with similar toys are that they aren't really hands free. Too bad
