Lust - traditional vibrator by Evolved Novelties - review by Sanjay

Upon arrival, I opened up the package and was greeted by a very snazzy looking metallic case. Lust was nestled snugly in some molded foam within the case whilst peaking out of the little window on the lid just to tease you. I suppose this isn't very discreet, but overall it was very pretty and makes a nice storage case.

With non-porous phthalates-free hypo-allergenic and even latex free plastic construction (which earns an 8 on the Eden Fantasys safety scale), I was sincerely confused as to what this toy was marketed for. Like many vibrators, it claims to be a "personal massager". This is far from unusual as it is sometimes just a discreet term for mega-orgasm-machine. I wasn't really worried until my husband read the next sentence or two on the box: "This product is sold and should be used as an adult novelty only, and should never be other than for external use".

So wait, this toy is for external use only but in the description online you tell people that "It's 1"-1 1/4" diameter is a good fit for most individuals while it's 5 3/4" of insertable length should please most as well."? I actually went back to the ad to check on what material it is made out of just to be sure that this would indeed be safe to use on me. Perhaps this rather forbidding warning on the box was just a way to avoid lawsuits, but it still had me a bit alarmed and fairly miffed. Honestly, who buys a dildo shaped vibrator who doesn't plan on using it internally? In any case, I decided to risk it and see how it worked as a true vibrating dildo.

This is a very basic looking dildo/vibrator with some serious ridges for plenty of textured fun. This isn't a small toy, but nothing terribly intimidating either. The material is very sturdy with a soft velvety coating over the length of it. With its smooth surface and waterproof feature, this is a snap to clean with just some soap and water (or your favorite toy cleaning solution). Just make sure to get in all those little ridges!

Lust has three distinct vibration settings which one can cycle through by simply pushing on the end of the toy. However, in order to turn it off, you have to cycle through all thee (much like a ceiling fan). The first two settings are fairly quiet, although not the most discreet I've come across. However, the third setting is getting to be bothersome. In its defense however, once I was actually using it for penetration, my husband says that it was actually pretty quiet overall.

As far as the functionality goes, I was very happy with Lust. The ridges being very firm and pronounced, made for a pretty rough ride which might not appeal to some users, but I certainly enjoyed it! The vibes were not overwhelming but definitely had enough power to be felt in all the right places. When used as a vibrator on the clitoris, I also found it to be very pleasurable and plenty strong.

There isn't much more to say about Lust, but I wanted to give you all a brief follow up: Construction-wise, it has held up beautifully and I still feel like it is a fairly durable product (and certainly worth the price). However, to be honest, I haven't reached for this toy very often because I just didn't enjoy the feel of the plastic ridges (which is purely a personal preference and not a knock against the product). I still like it overall, I just reach for my other toys more because I learned I wasn't a fan of the hard texture.... but you might be!
