Iris - g-spot vibrator by LELO - review by Shellz31

USE:

Iris is great for both vaginal and anal play as long as you like a little texture and shape to your toy. Although she doesn't feature a huge amount of texture, if you're on the small or tight side and not use to even a slightly patterned toy, you may find this one slightly uncomfortable, particularly on the second rise in the silicone. This one can be used for both the girls and guys. Enjoy it alone or with that special someone for some delicious DP fun. I have personally used Iris vaginally and anally with great success. If you plan on using Iris anally, I would suggest using a condom, which saves having to sterilize. Although the handle does flare out more than the rest of the shaft, I wouldn't recommend using her anally unless you're fully experienced or have a partner willing to hold onto it at all times!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

After purchasing my first few Lelo toys, I really wanted to own one of their insertable vibrators. It was Iris with her pretty unique looking shaft that really jumped out at me, plus being available in blue. I'm a purple fan but blue isn't a color I come across too often in the toys I really admire. So another Lelo joins the crew and I certainly plan to buy many more of their products.

MATERIAL ~ ODOR:

Iris is crafted from pure silicone and plastic by the famous Lelo Sweden. This vibrator has is hypo-allergenic, non-porous, phthalate and latex feel for safe usage. Being of top quality, body safe materials, she earns herself a perfect rating 10. If you intend on sharing this vibrator, I recommend using a condom – especially if you're not fluid bonded. It makes cleaning Iris a lot easier, as she can't be sterilized by boiling. Only water based lubricants should ever come into contact with this toy. Silicone lubes could cause Iris to become tacky and ruin her good looks.

Being silicone, this one had no smell at all straight from her box. Just another one of many reasons Lelo is so high on my favorite toy company's list. I'm extremely grateful for odor free toys!

COLORING:

Being more unusual and having very few in that color, I went with the blue Iris. The coloring is a fair bit lighter in person than what the product page shows. More of a washed out sort of blue but she still adds some new variety to my collection. I really like how Lelo has given this one a silver strip dividing the white plastic from the blue silicone.

TEXTURE:

The silicone on Iris is extremely silky smooth and quite captivating to the touch. Kind of like baby skin soft. My hands are just as taken with this vibrator as my orifices are. The silver plastic strip and handle area are totally smooth. The silver strip doesn't perform any particular duty except for making Iris look elite. Even the control button is created from plastic with an indent in the middle. The charging plug is made from silky smooth silicone with LELO stamped into it.

SHAPE:

This vibrator is shaped somewhat like a rigid banana, which works well at stimulating your g-spot. There is no flexibility at all in this toy. From a side view she has a deep handle area, a slightly slimmer middle just after the silver strip and then gains just a touch more depth at the tip. From above she looks very different with a flared handle (which allows for a good grip), slowly tapering in til half way along the silicone shaft and bulges out slightly before the tip. Along the silicone shaft is three different levels causing an elongated Iris flower design. The first raise leading to the second level at the tip is rather mild and almost flush in a couple of places. This makes insertion very easy and pleasurable. The second raised area is very prominent, but to my surprise, it isn't uncomfortable at all when sliding or thrusting that section of the toy in whichever orifice you choose. Iris is 9” in length with 5 ¼” being insertable, 4 ½” circumference at the g-spot bulge and 4” at the narrowest part. She has a nice weight at 1.5lbs.

CONTROLS:

Iris features four small control indents on the interface button. These include a +, - plus an Up and Down. Each time any indent is pressed, the clear outer ring will emit a white LED. To turn the vibrations on, firmly press the + to start off on the lowing level. The vibrations are felt the strongest at the tip of the toy. There are seven constant vibration levels to be found by continuing or individually pressing the + indent. Naturally the - will decrease your vibration levels and will turn off in a timely manner if you should happen to find yourself needing a quick shut down. If you're looking for different patterns to spice up your play, hold the Up indent for 3 seconds. This activates the second motor located near the silver strip. At this stage you'll have two steady vibrating motors. Pressing the Up another three times will take you through the patterns below. The BOLD|Down] will take you backwards or you can simply hold the - if you're finished.

1. Medium prominent pulsing
2. Slow prominent pulsing
3. Rapid prominent pulsing

The 3rd level is unusual as when the vibrator is just resting in your hand or your fingers are only lightly gripping the tip, it feels like a very intense deep vibration. But take a slightly firmer grip and she performs the rapid pulsing.

Iris has been given a travel lock so you can be rest assured she won't be playing around in your luggage. Hold the centre of the interface dial for 5 seconds to lock the controls. Simply repeat to unlock.
I would put Iris on par with Lelo's Isla. She has a range of very deep rumbly vibration levels to cater for those who prefer their vibrations more on the subtle side, up to those who are ‘show me the power baby'! Whatever you desire, you're sure to find one that can satisfy with this toy.



NOISE:

Iris is very quiet. I've yet to come across a Lelo toy that even warrants a two Bee rating. She is perfect for those, like myself, who share accommodations. You can feel confident that no one will hear this one while you escape in the earth shaking pleasure this vibrator will deliver. There's no way anyone is going to hear this toy through a closed door – unless they have some kind of bionic ear. Even just under a light summer blanket, there's only a slight deep rumble noise.

POWER:

This toy is rechargeable via an AV wall socket which makes her a money saver over time. You'll never run out of batteries again or have to trash the house in a panic when you just want to get down to business! Iris will need charging before any usage can take place. Gently press the charging plug into the allocated socket in the plastic end of the vibrator. The silicone plug cover is removed very easily. In fact, I have trouble making my port plug stay in place when she isn't charging. There is a clear ring that surrounds the control button which emits a pulsating LED to let you know the toy is charging. Once charging is complete, this ring changes to a solid glow. When she is running low in juice, the LED turns red to let you know she requires charging. The information booklet says not to use Iris while in charge mode and this can take up to 3hrs. I'm still on my first charge which only took 39mins.

CLEANING:

Due to the charging port design on Iris, she isn't waterproof at all. To keep this vibrator in top condition, she should be washed before and after each use. Simply wash with anti-bacterial soap and water (careful not to get any liquid up near the silver ring), toy cleaner, or anti-bacterial wipes. Naturally, she can't be boiled or placed in a dishwasher so a 10% bleach solution can be used to sterilize. Just be sure to thoroughly rinse the bleach residue off before inserting the vibrator into any orifice.

STORAGE:

I love that Lelo is always generous with their products and include a nice black satin drawstring pouch with a white interior.

PACKAGING:

As with all the stunning Lelo products, Iris arrived in the luxurious firm matte black case sealed inside a thinner cardboard box. The outer covering is not discreet at all with a big picture of Iris printed on the back. Inside the black box, the vibrator sits comfortably in solid dark plastic molded to fit Iris's curved form and is then protected by a clear plastic cover to keep her snug. The charger, pouch, user manual, warranty book and guarantee are housed beneath the plastic tray. The warranty gives you peace of mind for one full year while the guarantee covers you for 10 years. EXPERIENCE:

Just like with all my Lelo items so far, I'm in love with Iris. She is able to deliver all the power I require and then plenty more while being housed in a unique shaft. Besides her power and good looks, she is ultra quiet which is a massive bonus for me. Iris rocks my world every time! I often have a difficult time finding a vibrator that has much girth and even though Iris doesn't have a large circumference, she is able to fill me in that area too. The only thing I'd change is having a charging cap that stays put a little better.
