Mood passionate - rabbit vibrator discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Breas

Mood Passionate by Doc Johnson is available in two colours: pink and teal. I purchased the pink coloured one. Mood Passionate is a dual stimulating vibrator. It stimulates internally while stimulating the clitoris as well.

The vibrator arrived in an attractive cardboard box. The packaging is cute but not discreet. The front of the packaging has a clear window to see the toy inside. The front also states the product name and a few product features. The back of the box has a brief product description, states a couple product features, warning information, company contact information, and the material of the toy. Inside of this box, the toy sits on a raised piece of plastic. The packaging can be used for storing the toy when it’s not being used, though it is rather large in comparison to the size of the toy.



The toy comes with an instruction manual printed in 6 different languages. Unfortunately, this manual is not toy-specific. It’s an instruction manual that they put in the packaging with other vibrating toys as well. The toy is fairly simple to operate though so it won’t take much time playing around with it before you’ve mastered it. The toy has no scent or taste to it.



The vibrating part of the toy is silicone (the entire pink area) and the base of the toy (the white part) is ABS plastic. The toy should only be used with water-based lubricants. Both the shaft and clitoral arm have some flexibility to them. There really is no texture to this toy. The shaft and arm are very smooth with one exception- the seam lines. There are seam lines running up and around both shaft and arm. I personally do not have any issues with the seam lines but I know that there are others who are seam-sensitive. You can see in the first set of photos below, the flexibility of both shaft and arm. The second set of photos shows the seam lines running along the toy.

Shaft insertable length: 5 inches
Clitoral arm length: 1 ¾ inches
Circumference of shaft: 3-3 ½ inches
Circumference of clitoral arm: 1 ¾ - 2 inches
Length of bottom of toy (white part): 2 ¼ inches
Distance between shaft and clitoral arm: ½ an inch

With the toy being more on the slender side, it would be an excellent choice for beginners who may find the more girthy toys a bit intimidating. The shaft and clitoral arm have a slightly larger circumference at the top of them, creating a “head” to them. Below the head, the shaft and arm circumference is slightly smaller.

The toy requires 2x AAA batteries, which are not included. To access the battery compartment, simply twist the white bottom of the vibrator. Be sure that once you’ve inserted the batteries, you close the lid tightly. The toy is waterproof so you want to be sure that no water will leak into the battery compartment.



Once you’ve got the batteries in, you’re ready to use the toy. There are only two buttons to the toy- a power button, and a button with a zigzag line (it looks like little mountains). The power button is below the zigzag button. Press this button once to turn the power on, press it again to turn it off. The zigzag button above the power button is what you press to cycle through the ten functions/patterns of vibration. The 10 functions are as follows:

1. strong, steady vibration
2. medium, steady vibration
3. low, steady vibration
4. fast pulsating, escalating
5. medium intensity, medium length pulsating
6. strong intensity, medium length pulsating
7. strong intensity, fast pulsating
8. medium intensity, fast pulsating
9. strong intensity, slow pulsating
10. low intensity , fast pulsating

When you turn the power off and then back on again, you’ll be right back at the function/pattern that you left off so you don’t have to cycle through each one again. I found the placement of each function sort of odd. Typically in a vibrator, when you turn it on, you’re met with the lowest level of strength and can increase the power with a click. My favourite of the 10 functions was the strong, steady vibrations so having that as the first function was convenient for me, but I can see how it might bother others.

The vibrations can be felt the most at the top area of the shaft, and the entire clitoral arm. I consider the vibrations to be rumbly rather than buzzy. The strength of the vibrations is not enough to satisfy power queens. I’d say that on the highest setting, you’re getting about 3 ½ vrooms out of 5. This will satisfy most toy users but I would have liked the Mood Passionate to have a bit more power. Despite the lack of power, the noise level of the toy is lovely. Even on the highest vibration setting, the noise cannot be heard through a closed door.

Cleaning the toy is quick and easy because it can be fully submerged in water since it is waterproof. You can wash the toy with soap and water, toy wipes, or a toy cleaning spray. To sanitize the toy, wipe the toy down with a bleach/water solution. The toy should not be boiled because of the motors in the vibrator.

Overall, I think Mood Passionate is an inexpensive, nice dual stimulating vibe. I think it’s a great choice for beginners, or for those who enjoy moderate vibrations levels with a more slender shaft. I’ve deducted only one star from the rating for the lack of intense vibrations and the seam lines. The seams didn’t bother me but they have the potential to bother those who are seam-sensitive.

I still think the Mood Passionate is a great toy, though it doesn't have the intensity that I need. It's slender body and moderate vibrations would be great for a beginner. It's a great toy and I would still recommend it to others-- unless your a power queen.
