Secretly average..?
I feel that this toy wasn't for me. It was average, I felt like I was settling for it, making do with what it offered. But it lacked power, it smelled awful, and wasn't able to wow me. I feel my ex's money would have been better spent on something else.Published: September 3, 2010
Pros:
Quiet, cute, flexible
Cons:
Weak, chemical smell
This was my first sex toy. I felt it call to me when I was in an adult store with an ex-boyfriend (he was actually my ex when he bought me this toy, too). I was drawn to it because it did not look too intimidating, it was softer and more flexible than hard plastic toys, and it seemed "cute!"
Upon taking My Secret out of its packaging, I found myself completely put-off by the chemical smell. I thought I wouldn't be as affected by a scent, but it definitely lessened my anticipation in using the product. It was a STRONG smell, and did not go away after a few washes (it took several to lessen).
It is very quiet though, I am very pleased with how little noise it emits. The vibrations were too "light" for me, they dimmed with pressure- which is something I need.
Because My Secret was my first toy, I did not really know too much about what I was looking for when I got it. The vibrations are so-so, the material isn't hard enough for my g-spot stimulation, and it offers no clitoral stimulation since it fails to do the job when pressure is applied.
I rarely use(d) it, though it was fun for me to experiment with angles and positions. I never got to orgasm with it, as it barely got my engine turning and then left me frustrated.
Other things to note:
There was very little instruction to the packaging. I understood to put the batteries in the bottom, and twist the dial at the bottom up to increase the volume, so to speak. But the directions that came in my packaging were for California Exotics toys in general- not specifically for My Secret.
It is not waterproof, though the packaging did not explicitly say so.
And my last comment is that I did have some trouble with the dial moving up and down during play. Maybe I'm just not coordinated enough to keep it still... but it was frustrating.

Follow-up commentary

Not much has changed in my opinion of "My Secret." I have tried it since, just to try to be fair with the toy... And I still found it weak, frustrating, and oddly shaped. It sits and collects dust in my bathroom drawer now! I'm glad that I sought other toys, because "My Secret" was not going to bring me to a great orgasmic release. And, no, it still won't do the job.

Welcome to Eden! Thanks for the review.
This toy kind of creeps me out. LOL I dunno if it's because it's green or the shape.. i dunno. Thanks for the review.
The shape of it, turns me off. It looks to weird for me.
Welcome to Eden! I suggest using the Extended template; it's really good for making sure you don't miss any important details
SydVicious, your comment made me laugh! I suppose I just liked that it was light green? And not shaped like a scary veiny penis? But it is kind of awkward and weird looking..
and thank you kck, I'll be sure to do that next time!
Lol, nice review. I haven't seen this one on here before. And here I thought in all the long hours I spend browsing dildos and vibes at night, I have seen all the toys they have here.
I agree with syd, it is creepy! lol
What an interesting looking toy

What a creepy looking thing! Thanks for the review
It is a horrible shade of green for a sex toy!
Good review!
Thanks for the review
Great review
Strange looking toy. thanks for the review..
Thanks for the honest review. It is quite pretty to look at but I am thinking the shape wouldn't be super comfortable. I can see why you went for the toy, though. Sometimes lessons have to be learned the hard way.
Thanks fo the review.
