Butterfly bliss - strap-on vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by EmuLove

I think the best use for California Exotic's Butterfly Bliss is as a panty vibe; see my personal comments on how to make this happen! The butterfly has a wonderful shape that fits perfectly with the shape of a woman's lovely parts. If you have larger thighs, the straps may not work for you; they didn't for me, at least. However, the straps can be removed, and this item can be used as a regular vibe.

The vibrations from this toy feel great. They transfer through the antenna and belly nubs well. The antenna and nubs will feel wonderful on any sensitive part of the body, as they are super soft.

The Butterfly Bliss is made of plastic and silicone, which means that it rates as an 8 on the safety scale. The material of both the butterfly and the remote is hypoallergenic, latex free, non-porous, and phthalates free.

The silicone on the butterfly itself is very soft to the touch. It's also very stretchy. Unfortunately, however, this silicone does attract hair and lint, which I find most obnoxious. The material of the straps does like to stick to itself, which makes them hard to adjust to adjust. On a positive note, the butterfly body does not have any drag at all. It's also quite flexible; the wings and antenna can be bent in all directions. The butterfly has no smell, which is awesome! The vibrations also travel well through the material; they can be felt all through the two antenna and both wings. The nubs on the belly of the butterfly are very soft, too.




The remote control for this device is made of hard plastic. The remote has a soft plastic ring on the inside of the battery cap, which helps to prevent water from getting in.

It if wasn't for the short thigh straps, the design of this item would have been perfect. If the thigh straps fit, the butterfly would have curved perfectly against my skin and stimulated just the right areas.

So, let's dig into these straps, shall we? When the straps are adjusted to their longest length, they are about 18 inches long. Just for good measure, I will note that I am a pretty petite person. My highs are 25 inches around, so these straps are pretty short for me. The straps are stretchy, but they are not THAT stretchy. Now, the waist strap is 38 inches around, which was a good fit for me. The waist strap will still be too small for others, though. What is nice about the straps is that they have a detachable clasp, which means that they're easy to put on. All that you need to do is wrap the strap around, clip it, and BAM. It's that simple!









As you can see, this item is not discreet; it's clearly a sex toy. It will travel easily, though, and you can easily hide it in a silk drawstring bag.

The vibrating butterfly on this toy packs quite the punch! The vibrations are felt all over the butterfly -- especially on the wings, antenna, and belly nubs.

To control this butterfly, a person would first push the power button. Pushing the power button will turn the butterfly on, giving you setting 1. To continue onto the next setting, one should use the zigzag button. The zigzag button only changes the settings, so it will not turn the device on. During any setting, you can push the power button to turn the device off. The Butterfly Bliss has 7 vibrating functions that are all very different from each other.

Setting 5- Ascending pulsing vibrations

The controls are very easy to use, but it would have been better if there was only one button. The butterfly is actually pretty quiet, so I gave it a bee rating of 2. The vibrations can be heard through blanketes, but it's almost silent with music on. You also cannot hear it through a door. The butterfly would be great for a night at the club, too, as it fits well in a pair of panties.

The box says that this device is waterproof, but I would not submerge the controller. The controller does have a plastic ring to keep moisture out, but it will not hold underwater. If the thigh straps fit you, this item would be wonderful in the shower.

This item can be hard to take care of because it loves hair and lint. Because of this, washing before and after use is a must! What makes this butterfly most irritating is that the straps also attract lint, so each strap should be taken apart and washed individually.

Silicone can be boiled, but I recommend washing this item by hand because it has a coated wire. Attention should also be paid to the nubs on the belly of the butterfly; they are very flexible, so they are very easy to clean around.

The butterfly is silicone, so water-based lube should be used. Its packaging box can be used for storage, but it is larger than the item. The packaging is also not discreet at all. I have not yet found a storage device that keeps this item from getting linty or hairy. So, no matter where you store it, it will have to be washed before use.

The remote for the butterfly takes 2 AAA batteries, which are not included. The cap slides off very easily, but it can be a bit stiff when sliding it back on.

The packaging for the Butterfly Bliss is pretty minimal. There are no instructions included with this devic. The box does state that there are 7 functions. It also states that it's made out of body safe silicone, runs on 2 AAA batteries, is powerful, and that the thigh straps are fully adjustable and removable. These statements are also in four other languages, which is cool.

The package is not discreet at all; there is a photo of the vibrator on a clear mannequin crotch.

The box is recyclable. Please, put the box in your recycling bin.

Are the thigh straps too small for you? Well, here is how you can turn it into a new kind of toy! What we did was remove the thigh and waist straps. This will take a little tug, but it's not too hard. Then, we cut off the excess material.
