I am a total dork and all of my lovers are dorks too. There has been times when we have been all together watching Star Trek and totally geeking out about it. There is even the line of at lectures that we use that is very dorky and mixed with a bit of a sex positive attitude; "Please set your phones on vibrate."
When my husband took the Luv Your Body out of his box, he promptly started playing with like it was a phaser gun from Star Trek. Took some time to get it get it back from him so that I could actually try it out.
The Luv Your Body is a plastic and with a silicone heart head toy. It is pink and white. It takes four AAA batteries that don't come with the toy. It is fully water proof. There is a compartment that the batteries go into to keep the water out and lets you take the toy in the tub or spa. It's about six and half inches long and the heart head is almost as big around. It's easy to clean up with toy cleaner or soap and water. There is two buttons on the gun handle. One is off/on and the other controls the three power settings and the extra two vibration patterns. It's fairly quiet and surprisingly powerful for an AAA vibe.
The shape of it is perfect for solo clitoral play. Just pop it down there and it will hit things perfectly. It also lends it's self for working on shoulders too. The angle of the heart head means that I can get to parts of my shoulders on my own that I can't get to with regular massagers.
The Luv Your Body is now my go to vibrator and I love that it has the very cute hard case that it comes it that I can just keep the toy in it and that I can travel with it perfectly.

Luv Your Body vs Mystic Wand?

I love the Hitachi magic wand, but I'm looking for something a bit smaller to use during partner sex. I've heard both of these are pretty powerful--anyone used both and have an opinion?

We like our Mystic Wand - but we don't have the Luv, so I can't say. However it take 4AAs which indicates good power. If I had it to do over I would get the rechargeable Mystic Wand (it wasn't available when we bought ours).
BTW the Mystic Wand does seem to get good battery life.

How strong is this vibe?

I wasn't that interested in the design, but I saw a few people commenting as to its strength and it piqued my interest. What other vibes would you compare it to if you own/have used one? How does it compare to other massager-style vibes?

It is not a wand but the vibrations and head shape makes this a nicely powerful massager. It does not make me numb like the Hitachi, definitely not that powerful, but does pinpoint the vibrations to the perfect spot and is very comfortable to hold on to. I would reasonably compare it to my Wanachi Mini. Head comfort is way above a round tip wand. Pressure is easily applied without dampening the vibrations. Very versatile.

I wish I could tell you how strong this vibe is. But when I ordered it last week it was broken. Wouldn't even turn on. I'm waiting for postage to send it back and get a replacement.

I used to really love clitoral vibes (specifically, the Je Joue Mimi)... However, when I had to send me MiMi back for replacement (it was under warranty), it gave me the chance to try a different product I had bought on a whim: the rechargeable Mystic Wand.
I don't think I can ever go back. I loved the wand that much!
I recently bought a Bodywand (comparable to Hitachi Magic Wand, but with better materials and design) and I really don't like it too much. I need to give it more chances, though, which has to wait until I'm alone in the house. It's just so loud! -
