Sexy Time!
Overall, I was pleased with this toy. If it were more expensive, I would be less happy with it. But, for the price I felt that this was adequate. I did not get anything from the vibrations, but I felt that the shape, design, and size were quite good. I love this as a warm up toy and would happily recommend it for a beginner looking for a body safe first sex toy.Published: November 12, 2011
Pros:
Shape and size are good for beginner
Cons:
Noise!
Lack of strong/deep vibrations
Lack of strong/deep vibrations
The Sex in the shower is a body safe, waterproof traditional vibrator. It is best suited for vaginal stimulation. Personally, I use this toy often as a warm up toy. It is a small size and firm head make it perfect for thrusting and light g spotting. The design is fine, and it does feel pleasurable during use, but the vibrations are so weak that I mostly just use it as a dildo. There was nothing really exciting about the toy for me, but it does feel wonderful to use. The shape and size are basic, but perfect. It is just the vibrations that ruin it. The vibrations in my opinion get a one star, and the rest of the toy gets a 5 star. Thus, I shall settle for a three star rating.
It looks like a Lelo toy--it has the same matte silicone body with a metal colored ring and white plastic handle.
The toy is 8.5 in. Width 4.5 of that being insert able. The handle is quite long, which makes it very easy to maneuver. It is easy to thrust with, though the plastic can get a bit slippery if you are very wet. Because the vibrator is completely straight with no flared base, I do not suggest anal penetration. The head is made of firm silicone and is phalate free and body safe. While the toy is not designed for g spot stimulation, it is firm enough so that you can easily angle it up to hit your g spot. It is only 1.25 in diameter at its widest point so it may not be very filling for intermediate to advanced users, but it would be a wonderful first toy for a beginner. It is slightly tapered head makes it easy to insert, but there is a great deal of drag to the silicone. Water based lube would be your best choice to combat this; silicone lube can damage the silicone in this toy. I personally like the size of this toy for warming up. I'm not a size queen, but this toy is not quite thick enough for me. But, for a beginner, this would be the perfect size.
The toy is run by two triple a batteries and is completely waterproof. The battery compartment is very interesting. You twist the middle, and there is the battery compartment where you pull a string attached to the door.
I have brought this toy in the shower and can attest that it is indeed waterproof. It is easy to clean and easy to use. There are two buttons. One is the on/off switch that can turn the vibrator off at any time. No more scrolling though programs to find the off, yay! The other button controls the different patterns. It has a high, medium, and low vibrations and 7 other patterns. It is not very strong, and it is also quite loud. It emits a buzz that sounds like the B below middle C on a piano. It is quite high pitched and very very buzzy.

Experience
My biggest annoyance with this toy is its lack of vibration. Now, as I've said before, this toy is NOT silent. Yet, even though you hear the vibrations, you do not really feel it. The vibrations are there, but they are much to buzzy. By buzzy, I mean that the vibrations are surface vibrations. With rumbly vibrations, the harder you press, the stronger the vibrations feel. I can feel the vibrations of this toy on my skin, but as soon as I apply pressure, the vibrations are gone. Unless you have an extraordinarily seriously sensitive clit, the vibrations are not going to work for you. Personally, I find it more useful just to turn the whole thing off and use it like a dildo. It is quieter and less annoying that way.
The toy came in a cardboard box with in a plastic tray. The whole package was quite classy. It is not exactly discreet--the words Sex in the Shower are there, but there are no naked people on it. It is a professional looking box that does its job, but nothing more. It is primarily to display the toy. There is a plastic viewing window, not for long term storage.

I still like to use this vibrator, however I've found that it's just not one I reach for. I like it for warming up with, but it's just not something that I can climax with. It's a great toy to bring in the shower, however!

Lelo Much?
-
So I've found that more and more I recognize the color scheme and patterning in sex toys that are not from the Lelo brand as imitating the Lelo brand.
I know that Lelo does not have a patent or anything on the scheme, but to all of us who are familiar with sex toys, it is recognizable. I know I sometimes wonder why they would do it. I mean, I guess they are drawing in some customers who subliminally associate the scheme with luxury and good craftsmanship, but in the end they are still associating that stuff with LELO. Why don't companies come up with their own scheme or look that is recognizable?

However, I am not sure what the retail will be for this one, yet. These are not rechargeable like LELO products. In fact, this one takes 2 AAA batteries. So, I even question the ability to be as powerful. I've requested it to try out. Guess we will see if it is close or not. ;)

I'm sure I will once I own one though.

I think a lot of folks are trying to raise their bar to be on the level as LELO as they seem to be coming out as the leading brand for quality and luxury. Maybe someone who thinks the Mona is too much, might like something like this better as it's battery powered and may not be as strong? (???)
I may not be as much help, and I do think that perhaps copying a color scheme is probably not a great idea, but if companies are aspiring to compete with the best (based on others' opinion), then that just translates to more toys for us!

Thank you for viewing Sex in shower waterproof silicone vibrator – traditional vibrator review page!

Nice review
Fantastic review and pics! The battery compartment plus the weak vibes just made it a fail for me. I still love the shape and color though.
Sad that it's not powerful, and it runs on batteries.
Great review.

thanks! my hubby and i use it as a warm up toy too!
