Touche Girdle - traditional vibrator discontinued by Shots media - review by Lavendar

The Girdle is a traditional vibrator made by Touche, a part of Shots Media. This piece is a great introduction into textured toys. The girthy Girdle has a smooth silicone finish with lacing patterned on one side of the shaft. This provides nice stimulation internally, hitting the G-spot if angled correctly. It is also great for body massage, especially sensitive areas like the clitoris and nipples.
This toy is best suited for solo sessions and couples looking to spice up foreplay and intercourse. Girdle is not recommend for anal use since it does not have a flared base. Beginners may find Girdle too big, but advanced users will be pleased with the textured shaft and size.
Girdle is very quiet, making it dorm and roommate friendly. It is not waterproof, only splash-proof, making playtime in the shower a possibility. Batteries and a one year warranty are also included with your toy.

Girdle is made of 100% body safe silicone rating a ten on the safety scale. The purple silicone has some drag and lube is needed for a slick experience. This makes it difficult to insert without lube, which may detract beginners. The shaft has a patterned texture of corset lacings that feel amazing internally. The silicone is soft and semi-flexible, allowing the toy to bend while inside. The base which has the control button is made of hard shiny purple plastic.
Girdle is hypo-allergenic, latex free, nonporous, and free of phthalates. It has no taste or smell on arrival, and it does not retain odors either. It does have a tendency of picking up lint and other fibers. I find myself constantly having to wipe it down.

Girdle has a total length of 8 1/4" with 7" being insertable. The diameter is 1 5/8" with a circumference of 5 1/4". The maximum diameter is in the bulged head, it tapers down along the shaft similar to the shape of a girdle. The tip is slightly pointed and semi-realistic. The pointed head helps with insertion, assuming there is enough lubrication. The head is semi-flexible as well, it can be bent a good inch or two to the right or left.
The girth combined with the texture will make using Girdle difficult for beginners. The laced texture also makes it easy to hold onto the toy when things get slippery. Girdle is not discreet at all. If you travel with it, make sure the batteries are removed, since there is no lock function on this toy.

The on/off and control button is located on the bottom of the base. There are 10 different vibration patterns, clicking the button repeatedly will cycle through each of these. To turn the toy off, just hold down the button for 2 seconds. Girdle is powered by 2 AA batteries, which come included with the toy. I enjoy the control button and easy off function very much. During use it is difficult to look down and make sure you are pressing the correct button.
Girdle is very quiet, the noise level is similar to a cell phone vibrating. The vibrations are felt throughout the entire shaft, and are strongest closer to the tip of the top. It is a splash-proof toy, meaning that it can be used in the shower, but not submerged in the tub. I have used Girdle in the shower with no problems.

Girdle is made of silicone, therefore it should not be used with silicone lubricant or stored with silicone toys. Coming in contact with silicone may degrade the material. Use it with a water based lubricant.
For cleaning, I like to use Eden wipes or just some soap and warm water. Make sure you do not submerge Girdle while cleaning it since it is not waterproof. I would not recommend using rubbing alcohol on this toy. The batteries should also be removed from the toy if you do not plan on using it for a long time. Leaving batteries in will drain them eventually.
Touche also advises that this toy should not be used by pregnant or menstruating women. They do not state exactly why, but I believe it has to do with the Supersonic motor the toy uses.

Girdle arrived in a sleek black box with the toy clearly visible on the front. The name is embossed along the package and there are two manuals included inside. The instructions are printed in 8 languages. The packaging is not discreet, but it would still make a nice gift box. I used my box for storage when I first received this toy. It took up way too much space, so I opted for a pouch later. Girdle also comes with a one year warranty like most high end toys.
