Shall We Dance?

The Tango is a filling, shapely toy with a good kick. It has a little plushness to it, just enough that it's not rough on your insides but still firm enough that you can feel every curve. The battery life on it is pretty good, too. And the Turboboost button is divine!

Use

Well...the options for this toy are rather limited. Fun Factory doesn't recommend any of their vibrators for anal use, if memory serves me correctly. Though, technically with the clit stim, this one is anal-safe...it's not shaped well for anal insertion. But this is my favourite internal/external vibrator by far. It's the only rabbit-style vibe in my toybox right now.

Because it's waterproof, it is safe to take into the shower. I'm not 100% sure on how it will hold up in the bath, as I don't take baths ever and the information pamphlet doesn't mention depth.

If you're worried about roommates or parents hearing the vibes, the motors are very quiet. Under a blanket, they're barely audible. And they're definitely too quiet to hear through a closed door.

It is made of silicone, so it's non-porous. If you're sharing, you can sanitize it easily with a 10% bleach solution, or wrap it in condoms.

Material / Texture

This was my first silicone toy, and I'm now a lover of the stuff. It's durable (the ferret got her paws on this one, and she barely left a scratch on it) and hygenic. Plus there's no funky/nauseating smell, yay! Or taste...well, it tastes like...kind of like plastic, but not quite. It has more texture than taste, if that makes sense. It does have a fine matte texture, which holds lubricant very well. Though if you're very sensitive, this texture might feel too rough.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

I love the look of the Tango. While it does look like a sex toy, it's not a penis with a rabbit or dolphin just hanging out at the bottom. I can feel the curves perfectly during insertion, as the head flares from side-to-side, then the middle of the shaft narrows side-to-side but flares up-and-down, and then the base flares again so it's quite round. It gives a nice full feeling without stretching uncomfortably. If you're very tiny, though, this toy would be much too thick.

I like the shape of the clit stim, too. If you want more direct, focused vibes, you can settle on the tip. Or if you want them more in the general area of your clit, you can grind on or beside the ridge a little further down. The ridge also makes it quite accommodating to women of all shapes.

The silicone is a little plush, and it's very flexible, making it very comfortable. I have, on occassion, knocked it accidentally, and it doesn't jab into tender bits, which I very much appreciate. The clit stim will flex quite far from the main shaft, too.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Tango's motors are marvelous. This is one powerful toy, yet it's quiet. Not the quietest I've seen, but definitely on the low end. But there is a lot of variety in the settings, so if you prefer a softer vibration, or pulse patterns, this toy will suit you just fine.

There are three buttons: plus, minus, and Turboboost. Plus turns it on and scrolls up through the straight vibrations. Once you hit the highest straight vibe, pressing the plus button again will take you into the pulse patterns. The minus button will take you back to the straight vibes. Hold it down to scroll down through the straight vibes, and then hit it once again to turn it off.

The Turboboost button is genius. No matter what setting you're on, if you want that little pow to kick things up, the Turboboost button will take you to the highest straight vibe for as long as you hold the button down. Once you release the button, you'll go right back to your previous setting. Great for that little bit right before orgasm.

The buttons can be a little stiff, though, so be patient. I like them a little stiff, because there's less chance of accidentally hitting a button and messing with your settings. There's no memory chip on this toy, so you do have to find your favourite setting each time you play.

The only thing that could make this toy better is a rechargeable motor. If Fun Factory remakes this one as a rechargeable, I'm buying it on the spot.
    • Discreet sound
    • Multiple settings
    • Powerful

Care and Maintenance

The Tango's sleek curves are very easy to clean. There are very few nooks or crannies for yucky bits to hide in. A little toy cleaner or soapy water will get the job done in a pinch, or you can sanitize the toy with a 10% bleach solution and then rinse it well. No boiling; that will melt the motor components and kill the toy.

Silicone is quite durable and will react with very little. Avoid silicone-based lubes like the plague. They will react with the toy and melt it.

When storing the toy, don't let it come in contact with jelly toys. Jelly toys will melt on silicone toys (and just about anything else, including other jelly toys) so if you have a mixed toybox, wrap the Tango up in a plastic or fabric bag to keep it safe. And if you're going to be transporting your toybox, make sure the toys are secure so that none slide out of their bags accidentally. All of my toys are silicone at this point, so I don't bag them up separately, and they play nicely together.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The packaging is very tasteful. The only photographs are of the toy, and those are limited to the back flap. The clear plastic clamshell inside the cardboard box displays the toy beautifully. The features are described on the box either in text in several languages (making the text quite small, so if you have vision problems, you will need your glasses) or in images. (I have had customers ask if the nose picture means the toy isn't supposed to be used nasally...which it's not, but it means there's no smell ;) ) English is not the first option for the text on the box or in the information pamphlet, which isn't surprising, seeing as these are German toys.

The packaging isn't that much larger that the toy, so you could use it for storage if you have the space. It might just be easier to store the toy in a bag or bit of fabric, though.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Recyclable
    • Very informative

I agree. I like it for the most part.

My questions is...why is it called the Tango III.

Writing the review right now and I realized...I have no clue. Were their other ones before this?

I wonder the same thing...why does it have this shape? For any good reason?
