Short-Lived Thrills
Again: I may have gotten a faulty product, and I might should have taken the time to try and replace it through Eden's Fantasies. I wanted so badly to say, "get this! It rocked my socks!" but it was not to be. This may be a case of getting what I paid for, although I've had good luck in other attempts at keeping my perv budget to a minimum...ah, well. Can't win 'em all.Published: January 23, 2012
Pros:
Affordable, fun colors, good vibe.
Cons:
Quit working altogether after less than a week.
I've been considering a g-spot vibe for a while. I improvised for years with a dildo and a vibrator, but the advent of spot-specific vibes made me do a bunch of research that drove me to pare down the number of toys I use at once to achieve the "other kind" of orgasm; the First Time G-Spot Tulip got so many positive reviews, I couldn't help but jump on what read as an affordable-and-sturdy purchase for the job. I'm sad to report that the Tulip let me down.
The specs are good: PU Coated Plastic that is compatible with both water- and silicone-based lubes, the material is velvety, food-grade, hypo-allergenic, and latex- and phthalate-free. I can't get enough of fun-colored toys, so the bubblegum pink I chose made the Tulip seem like the perfect first-time g-vibe. And for a few days, we enjoyed a lovely affair with multiple orgasms, gentle cleansings with soap and water and secure storage...alas, on the fourth day, it seemed the Tulip needed batteries. Since it'd been getting a good pounding for several days on end, it seemed logical that replacing the batteries was all it needed; unfortunately, the Tulip never worked again as a vibe. I've relegated it to the dildo category, but I am eager to replace it with something more reliable -- and yes: This time I will pay more money for something well-reviewed and sturdy.
What else can I say? I want to love the Tulip, I want to believe that I may have gotten a defective product, but I can't conjure the faith to invest in a second one to test that theory. So it's back to the drawing board, as they say, reading reviews of similar toys and paying specific attention to the life-span of the other g-vibes. Because honestly? Those few days with the Tulip spoiled me, I'm eagerly awaiting my next purchase.

Follow-up commentary
5 days after original review
Just a quick follow-up to say that after writing the first review of the Tulip, curiosity got the better of me and I switched out the batteries one more time...and she works! Just like new, don't know if I had bad/old batteries or if it was a fluke, but no matter: I've got a working Tulip vibe again and I'm very happy.

Can this be for guys?
-
laxplaya18Hey just wondering if this can stimulate a guys prostate as well? -
Shape-wise? Probably. Safety wise? It lacks a flared base to keep it from going entirely inside the body. It shouldn't be used anally by males or females.
Tantus has the G spot which has a similar hook with an anal safe base, though the size is much larger.
The G Force doesn't have a full flare and I would exercise caution with it. The handle does come out from the shaft. I know there are some people here who have used it anally with success. It's also a lot longer than the G-spot Tulip so you'd have to try a bit harder to lose it. Still not impossible though. -

If you're aiming to use it for the prostate, then you're not going to insert it deep enough to risk losing it inside you, so I wouldn't be overly concerned about the lack of flared base.

Thank you for viewing First time G-spot tulip – vibrator review page!

Nice review!
Oh, and I'm sorry this one didn't work out for you. I hope the next one works and this one really was just defective.
Sorry it didn't work out for you.
Thanks! It didn't turn me off my search for a good one.
