Water-proof egg - vibrator by Doc Johnson - review by mysecretcollection

"Every girl should own a bullet or an egg" is what I would tell people when I used to do toy parties. Oh how I wish that back then that I had this product to sell!

This little piece of wonder comes packaged in plastic semi-transparent packaging which highlights some of it's best features such as the easy to use controller, smooth silky surface, and the sleek ergonomic design But what is better in my mind than all three of those things? This little sucker is waterproof. If you ask me, a toy being waterproof makes it a gazillion times better than the same product which is not waterproof.

Unlike the pesky battery covers that "click on" this cover is a twist cover with a gasket that makes it so that it will not take on water.

I used this mini lover mostly for nipple and clitoral stimulation, however it could be used anywhere on the body. Since it was waterproof, I had to try it out both by land and sea, ok, on my bed and in my shower, and both places it was well enjoyed.

The materials of the egg has no smell, while the controller has a light smell which is not a turn off. The egg is hard and smooth with a seam on the middle of the egg which is barely noticeable, but users should pay it extra attention while cleaning. The controller is a hard material, yet it is soft, smooth and velvety to the touch. Based on the texture, anyone could use this toy.

The design of this toy is semi-brilliant. Of course I love the fact that the cover screws on, and it is waterproof. I do although have some concern that over time the wire could present some issues. The shape and size of the egg make it more appropriate for vaginal insertion for beginners, or those who are tighter. As I will say a million times over though, if you are going to insert something, make sure there is a plan for retrieval! DO NOT ever have that plan be to simply pull on the wire. For those wishing to use it solely for surface stimulation it will work well for all. Use it for nipple stimulation or all over the body.

The wire has little gaskets at the ends that assure that no water gets in the egg, or the controller (which makes me happy). The wire is long, making it easy to use in different positions alone or with a partner.

This little jewel can be easily hidden from children, or anyone that you wish not to find it. With it's smaller size you could easily pack it for a trip, without concern of losing space for all your other travel necessities.

My clit is ultra sensitive, so one thing I did not like about the functions is that it starts a little higher powered than I would have liked. I like the dial bullets and eggs a bit more than this one because I can start really light, and still progress as strong. With only four different levels it does not leave much control to the user. The fact that the entire egg vibrates, and not just the tip does make it more enjoyable. I just would rather to control how much vibration there is.

The buttons are easy to use, even without looking. The long wire is annoying but for a wired toy, it is what it is. As a person with OCD I feel like it was a good call for the maker, California Exotic, to use the red wire, making it match and not look too cheap. Speaking of "cheap" though, after first use the paint on the controller had already started to rub off, even before using it in the water.

Even on "high" the toy is not too loud. We just moved into a house where our bedroom shares a wall with our son (crap) yet it did not seem to be too loud to have him come knocking on my door asking what I was doing (gotta love having kids!)

The use of this toy did not change much in the water, even though I was a little panicked about the fact that it had a wire. I don't know why, but the wires just make me a little uncomfortable in water, and I worry about being shocked (yea, I know it; I am odd).

Although people say that eggs can be inserted, remember that it has to come out some way. Do not plan on just pulling on the wire to retrieve it, because stuff breaks (don't worry, I am not speaking from experience). I would NOT AT ALL recommend this for anal insertion, seriously folks, think about if you are going to be able to remove this.

This toy is moderately easy to clean. Cleaning can be done with any antibacterial soap mixed with water, or a toy cleaner. I would suggest that when someone is cleaning it that they pay close attention to the seem in the egg.

Storage for this is simple. I store mine in a sandwich size ziplock bag, and just throw it into my toy chest. If you do not want to be anal about storage, this toy could even be stored with other toys without the worry of it melting. Additionally, it can be used with any lubes, water, or silicone, making it more versatile than some other toys.

The toy is packaged in a plastic box which is somewhat transparent. My favorite thing about the packaging is that it does offer where to go for warranty information. I do not think that in all they toys I have ever had I have noticed that on the packaging.
